ok
try restart the router. on the phone, I seetings>wifi>turn on .. then long press your SSID, click forget network. turn on wifi then try to connect again.
if problem still exists, try factory wipe. This happened to my sister's Note 2.

No Wifi [TEMPORARILY FIX]

-------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FIX <<<<<<<<<<<----------------------
Hello so its being around 3 weeks that the wifi problem started. In my phone it says that I'm connected to my home wifi network and that my connection is excellent. However when I got to any app that required internet is says that I have not network.
I try to test it with different wifi network and had the same problem. Then I try to test my network with a different device (PC) and it works out. Then I decided to go back to stock and and reroot it but it didn't fix the problem.
Can someone please help. I know I'm not the only because their was an old thread that people ask for help but it just died out.

FIX
I just wanted to tell everyone that I temporarily fix my problem. I'll you all the steps i took so you can fix your WiFi if you have this problem
Steps STEPS 1 AND 2 ARE OPTIONAL
1. First I unrooted and when to stock ( can't find the link to the thread i think it was removed)
2. Then I waited 30 min after unrooted and and re-rooted----------->>>>> ROOT THE T-MOBILE SGSII <<<<<-------
4. Flash any room you want or stay with stock
3. Then I Install V6 SuperCharger
4. Download the newest beta (V6 SuperCharger Update 9 RC5.2)
5. In Script Manager pick option 9
6. In the end it should give you the option to reboot and clan Dalvin cache
7. Pick it and reboot
8. Don't deleted Script Manager and Busybox Installer app
After i use this Script my WiFi started working properly. Its being 3 days since. SO so far so good

ICS WiFi

After updating to the final ICS rom I noticed that the WiFi really sux big time..always dropping even when I am sitting next to my router!even more it just keeps disconnecting and connecting every minute..I tried the Wifix manger as suggested by one good friend but no go!nothing improved at all..I thought about sharing my WiFi suffering in case anyone experiencing the same difficulties or have any suggestion to sort this out, thanks alot for any help provided
It happened to me once: it kept connecting and disconnecting. Forget your network then connect again and it should work. If not, reboot the phone and try again. It worked for me and since, it didn't happen again.

I've got the same pro just like u even with Acronuim ISC V1.0

Did you try to reset your wifi?. It seems you are the only one who has this problem.

Hey There,
i`ve updated my Arc S to ICS today via the Guide here on the Forum. The Problem i`m having now is the following: My Wifi Connection on the Phone won`t wory anymore. More specifically, the connection with my Wifi Router. The interesting thing is, that it worked just well, before i updated to ICS. In the Wifi Tab it says "Authentification Problem".
I`ve rebooted my Phone twice, resetted the Router, unplugged the Power Source but nothing seems to work. Although i can connect to another Wifi located nearby, I can`t connect to mine.
Any suggestions I haven`t tried yet?
Thanks in advance.

Hey josephnero,
the fix seems useful, but how do I install .apk files without any kind of File Manager or Connection to the Internet?

Do you copy & paste the wifi password?
Had the same problem and found out that during copy&paste I get one unwanted space so the password is wrong.

Hey, no I didn`t c&c the wifi password. Just typed it in again. And I actually Triple-Checked
Jack, have you tried forgetting the network and trying again? Are you able to connect to any other WiFi?
I would also check the security its trying to use, ensure that it's set to the same on your network.

Hey, I`ve tried all the possible options that are there. The main Problem I`m having now, is how to install .apk files onto the Phone without a Wifi, Bluetooth Connection. I wanted to try the fix that was mentioned earlier, but I can`t install it.
What about USB? Or a sd card reader? Failing that do you have a data plan?

Yeah, USB I do have
But still, how do I Install an app onto the Phone/SC Card? The Phone is rootet and I have Superuser rights. Yeah, and I do have a Data Plan, but the Volume is used up.
Then just plug the phone in set the phone to debug mode and allow installing from unknown sources and push the .apk into /data/app and check the permissions. You do need to have adb from the SDK though. Have a look around on here their should a how to.

ive just read that the cyanogenmod 9 which im using already has its own kernel built in it, so im guessing it has the right one for it, but i cant use my wifi...
any suggestions?
just delete dhcp list and reboot phone
use root browser lite from google market, navigate to root: /data/misc/, delete dhcp folder, reboot phone.
omg, tnx so much for the info!!!
worked like a charm!
finally i got wifi back!
i'm going to borrow this thread, i have wifi problem too, yesterday i got connected to cable network, so now my router setting are on automatic dhcp-for cable, before was pppoe and that worked great, now on that dhcp can't get wifi to work, i can find my network and connect to it, but it's no internet. on the same rom and everything i got wifi working no problem, so the only problem here is that dhcp.
edit: my sister is having the same problem on samsung s8500 running bada and before network change he can connect to wifi with no problem, not it's the same as for me.
any ideas?

You should install the WiFi modules, that can be downloaded from same place as the ROM itself.

[Q] SGH-T989 will not boot past samsung black screen after running "AutomatedDebloat"

[Q] SGH-T989 will not boot past samsung black screen after running "AutomatedDebloat"
I rooted my T-Mobile SGH-T989 Android 4.0.4 using "Odin/Clockwork Mod" success! Yeah!
I then ran "AutomatedDebloat.bat" which did nothing as far as removing T-Mobile crap/bloat ware.
Now my phone will not boot past the "flashing" Samsung logo black screen.
I can boot to "CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.6.
This is my first attempt at this level of phone mod and at this point I do not want to try anything else without some expert assistance.
Thanks in advance.
If you can get into recovery try wiping dalvik and wiping cache then reboot. If this does not work you can : A) factory reset B) put rom on ex card and install new rom or C) use odin to flash new rom. Try one of these options.

thanks for your response and assistance. 1st I ran thru my previous actions after the root again and then flashed with JMTX3. I can now access the phone.
Now for the 2nd problem, I cannot access the internet with this phone. Wifi is Ok but unlike my other Android phones this one refuses to connect to the internet no matter what I do.
I am sure it it a T-imMobile issue but I have had no success with resolving this.

Try setting up your APN manually or change a radio.

I think I have muddied the waters a bit.
This phone has always had access to wifi and does now. For years my previous phones were HTC Android. To access mobile networks it was "Settings" - "Wireless & Networks" - "Mobile Network" - "Connect" and I was connected. The APN settings filled in automatic. What's up with Samsung or am I just being thick?

I had created a new APN before the root that did not work.
Created the new APN after the root and SUCCESS!

Wifi issue

Hi guys... my n7 wifi wouldn't connect. It says "obtaining ip address" and just stucks there... all other device work fine with my home wifi((( it does connecet to other networks though((( maybe i need to set something for this particular wifi spot? help please!
Make sure you don't have MAC filtering enabled, if you do, disable it, let it connect, grab the MAC address of your device, add it to whitelist, re-enable filtering, save config, and reboot router if needed.
If not MAC filtering is enabled, reboot router and try again, if still failed, post what model your router is.
Did it stop working randomly? Did you flash a new Rom, and then it stopped working?

There is a chance that the problem lies here. Did you do a clean flash by wiping everything before you flashed CM? Sometimes, if you dirty flash, it will work. But most of the time, you have to wipe data and cache when switching between AOSP and CM.
