Sent my Nexus to Samsung :(

So out of nowhere this weekend my nexus's power button was wacky and only working 70% of the times i pressed it. I sent it out to samsung with an RMA number today, and am using my girl's old droid pro for the time being.
Do you get a new phone with an RMA? How long does it typically take? Is it possible theyll say its not broken you just have to start pressing it harder?

Ughhhhh are you sure? Is it at least in perfect shape? I sent mine back flawless, I didnt even bother taking my screen protector off.
Also another question, when I subbed the droid pro i obviously have 3g data and not 4g for now. I still have unlimited data on my line, so when i get the nexus back will i be back on unl data? Thanks again in adv.

They're supposed to be "like new", but they are definitely not new.

Shouldn't change.

I can never be bothered dealing with warranty's, I just fix it myself. Cheaper and quicker.

I never bother with extended warranties... but if a product fails during the manuf. Warranty period, im having them replace it

I've been handed brand new Droid Incredible's still in box. As long as the phone isn't EOL they will probably give you a new one in store.

The policy for all of these carriers is to hand you a refurb first.

Good luck, they're idiots. I had to send my Charge to them three times.

stock image for sprint

does anyone have the stock image for sprint note 2 yet and can post it.

As of yesterday even the sprint store didnt ... I had to swap my soft bricked unit out

thanks man how did you swap it out did they ask you what happened to it or why you needed to swap it i figured it would void the warranty and they wouldnt let you swap it

You guys are way too paranoid when dealing with sprint stores. It's not their main goal to void your warranty. You act like you have a neon sign above your head flashing "I'M ROOTED!" lol

picked up my new gn2 from sprint today had to go with the white one cause they were out of the silver which sucks but o well i was gonna put it in a case anyways. Got it rooted and twrp on it and running great. Did not mess with the toolkit this time and all is well lol.

It was pretty easy to return just had two go to a different sprint store to get the phone. I went to the store at the main campus in overland park. I like the white one it looks ok and no I wish I would have thought about asking for the battery I was just excited to be getting one that worked i didn't think about it. Would be nice to have an extra one. But when the lady was activating my new phone she asked if I had the charger, headset and box and everything and I don't have it she said don't worry about it so I got 2 chargers and 2 headsets now lol. Also yea that sucks the stock image is out now
Lol just saw that lame o well got extra stuff out of it and I really like the chargers they have longer cords than most of my other chargers.

Yeah, it would be nice to have extra charger. Ive been looking online and nothing. Sometimes I go spend the night at my moms or we go out of town and its nice to bring an extra one with without having to grab my own.

Best Buy Questions

Ok, so I got the best buy insurance when I bought my sgs3 from them for 100 bucks. Yesterday my phone dropped face down 10 inches out of my car. Big ol spider web crack on screen now. Going to best buy today to see what they can do for me. I unrooted my device and used triangle away.
Am I good on this?
and does anyone know what best buy is gonna do for me??

Probably replace it on the spot if they're nice at that best buy. Also you should be fine since there is no indication of you rooting

our policy is we will send it out for a refurbished phone which takes 3 business days or less. If it is a phone that is not in stock/backordered sometimes you will get a new one on the spot. Otherwise it goes out and if they cant get anything from samsung within 14 days you get a new one in store. You also have the option if you want to say you want it repaired, which never actually happens, it doest however take 30 days but youll get whats called a junkout and they give you store credit for the retail price of the phone off credit (this is good if you want to upgrade before getting an upgrade)

Using Sprint Insurance.. Please help!

So, my phone fell out of my pocket the other day, and the screen cracked and spidered and the touch is no longer working. I was going to have it replaced through the insurance. The phone is rooted, unlocked, and I was wondering do I need to return it to stock before sending it back, and was wondering how to do this? I've been looking through threads and haven't seen anything about relocking and returning to stock. With the screen not working I'm not sure it is an issue, but I want to be sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help.

Look under Android Development. There is a thread that will help you get lgog back to stock.
Hint: it's the very first one.
Or just return it as is. If the touch screen doesn't function due too crack, i doubt they'll make a fuss about rooted or not.

i went through the EXACT same situation last week, my phones screen broke and no longer registered touches. Asurion is out of stock for the LGOG, they are going to try and offer you a GSIII, tell them no, explain to them the specs are nowhere near comparable and demand at least a Galaxy Note 2, or make them find you a LGOG, they said it wasnt in stock but once i made a complaint with the BBB they just happened to "find" one. They can make it happen but you have to be firm with them.

I gave a copy of Sprint's service policy to xda and the other sites some time ago. I'm surprised that rumor of Sprint not servicing rooted phones keeps coming up.
You will be fine sending it in as is. If it is severely damaged, Asurion will just salvage it for parts to rebuild another LG.

Okay thanks. I was luckily able to back up my stuff but that saves me the trouble of using LGNPST on it.

Definitely will be looking in to it,...but have to wonder, how much of a PITA will it be to get a replacement for warranty purposes.

For $300 bucks, I will get one to compliment my note 3. Hope to get invite and work on ATT LTE network.

You get to invite a friend to buy another for just a buck also if you get the invite. I will gladly smash my note 3 and get two of these for a buck each.
And if they let you choose the 64Gb version for $50, I would still take that deal.

I.........know!My thought remain the same,was discussion on OPO,i think it will be an opponent of next google device instead of Note 3

Specs aside, you have me on the fact this is made to flash custom ROMs without the manufacturer or carrier bloat.
It's about time a company says, "here is a high end device. We are going to give you some awesome features, but if you want, do with as you will... And BTW, here is how you do it."
If the phone had the same specs as the gs4 and had this idea I would buy it. Just the idea behind it is what sold it for me. I will be getting one whether or not I get it for a $1

Non replaceable battery killed it for me.

I'd prefer a SD card slot, as I carry a lot of music, and don't like cloud.
Id buy one, just to try something new, not so sure about this invite option. I'd figure any company would want to have full availability as soon as possible.
