I flashed e988 kdz rom on my e980. Now the phone's internal storage is no longer accessible. I tried to flash back the e980 rom which was in tot format. But lg flash tools comes up with an error saying wrong dll or file.
The phone's model number shows as E988 as well
Please help
Is it possible to convert a tot file to kdz??

I wiped user data from recovery mode. On restarting it went back into recovery mode. That was the original issue because of which I had to flash the rom. Couldn't flash the rom for e980 so ended up flashing e988 and since then I do not have access to recovery or even the internal storage of my phone.
Managed to flash CENTRAL AMERICA E980H kdz firmware on my e980AT.
I can access internal memory now, but only 10.1G is available. But this is good enough to root and install cwm recovery. I am looking for a kdz file for e980 as I am unable to install the tot file using the LGE980_20130314_LGFLASHv151.dll file. If anyone had a cwm or twrp installer for e980at. That will help.
Same problem here haven't been able to fix yet was able to lgpnst back to stock then used the metheod described in another thread to root that newest value pack firmware once I had supersu tried fregeee to unlock/bypass bootloader but since all apps cant see any storage it said error cant download file so I searched til I found a easy twrp zip Windows installer it installed twrp and bypassed bootloader now my screens cracked so I cant use twrp because its all touch inteface but right where the swipe to confirm is that's where my screens cracked so next step get from twrp to cwm which I did by downloading philz flashable cwm extracted the recovery.img from it and used flashify to flash to it thought my problem may have been that storage was set wrong so booted into philz cwm set storage to data media rebooted still nothing moving on tried flashing a custom room apic I think it was by oblikas any how that didnt fix it either cuz now im stuck ina recovery bootloop so that's my input on what Ive done so far any further assistance appreciated greatly thx

After flashing CENTRAL AMERICA E980H kdz, I was able to see 10.01gb internal memory on my phone. Then I rooted my phone (root for e980 as well as e988 work at this time). Then I installed Android Model Changer from playstore. Then made the following changes
Phone Model: LG-E980
Phone Name: geefhd_att_us
Device: geefhd
Manufacturer LGE
Brand: lge
and then saved the settings.
I downloaded the v10G firmware for e980 and flashed it with lg flash tools. Now my phone is back to normal

I need help! I own an LG OGP E988 India based. I had rooted it and installed cwm on it. I have used the cwm and it works. Like a fool, i had got a notification that I have an update, which i downloaded and tried to install. But as i had cwm, it didnt work. And now it only boots to CWM.
Tried methods to repair:
1. Restore backup from CWM - didn't work. No files copy to /system checked using AROMA file manager in CWM
2. Flashed another ROM (eg. VANIR) - didn't work. Same files not copied to /system it only shows an empty bin folder.
3. Download .kdz for E988 but the support tool stops with an error saying battery not fully charged. I have charged it for the whole day.
4. Tried Factory reset by holding vol down+ power. didnt work
5. Thought of trying to use TOT and DLL file, found DLL for E988 but not TOT file.
Please help me to repair my phone without sending it to LG.
Phone can boot into CWM and phone can enter Dowload mode.

If phone can enter download mode the LG Tool will help you. But before you do that switch off phone and pull out battery and re-insert the battery and connect to charger without switching on the device and try LG Tool. If this fails u can flash TWRP hacked recovery from madmack. I'll give you the link if u need. U can flash Vanir ROM without any problems using that recovery.

You mean, that madmack's recovery would work on my E988? i thought it was only for E980
And I have tried every method to get past that battery problem, nothing seems to be working. The LG tool gets stuck at an error saying that there is a battery isn't enough and closes down.

Yeah! Flash this link: http://d-h.st/HNa Link credits: @ballshanglow
First time the touch in recovery wont work so u have to force switch off by removing the battery. Enter recovery using 3 button combo: Vol up+home+power to boot into recovery back. Touch works second time and i recommend u to flash Vanir ROM and also flash E988 baseband if u don't get the network signal after booting up the ROM.
Good luck :good:

Did you wipe everything? data, dalvik, cache, system and internal storage? put the zip in external and wipe everything else. If its not helping then it may be bootloader related issue.
And u used freegee to bypass bootloader before right!??

Hi.
I have the exact same problem but for F240L version.
Did you find a solution ?
- I tried to use flash tool : battery problem...
- I tried to flash another custom rom : still booting in CWM after a successfull installation
- I have my backup files from Freegee ".img" (I uploaded them on dropbox within the app!) but i don't really know what to do with them...

Solution to this for me was somehow flash anything stupid such that phone doesn't boot and I gave it to LG and within 5 mins they flashed new firmware. I did it under warranty.
Solution to this for you is find the TOT and DLL file for your phone model (I think its available). Then use google how to flash TOT file. If not, PM me right now exams going on so can't exactly help with links. Give me two days and ill help you step by step with the solution.

In order to install cwm at the first time i used freegee app. There was a function to backup some files (recovery files i think) to dropbox. Well the 5 files i have pushed with shell help were these files. I can upload them but i think it's unique for each phone.
For the information, after this fix, the custom rom works correctly, but my phone is still rooted and i still can't use lg flashtool (same "low battery" problem).

I have bought a OnePlus One, hence never visited G Pro threads.
I found out that there might not be a solution until we get the TOT file for the LGE988 firmware.
But this is the solution i followed:
1. Took a recovery.zip and replaced the recovery.img file with a text file renamed 'recovery.zip'. What this did was, make a fake recovery.zip which will surely NOT work.
2. I flashed this zip. Now this makes my recovery invalid and my recovery never loads and only thing which boots is fastboot.
3. I now took the phone to LG Service centre and asked them to reflash the software which they in-hesitantly did. They did ask me if I rooted my phone, I said "What is that? Never heard of it". I explained him that while the update was going on, this problem occurred.
4. Phone is as good as new. Never will I make the same mistake so shifted from to a CUSTOM ROM.
Cons:
Lost all data on Phone Memory. I had a backup before.
I have done this before but I used what seems to be a different version of freegee (didn't have the option to backup efs or flash TWRP) so I unlocked my device and after it had completed I rebooted and then powered down. I put my phone in to CWM and flashed the stock debloated ROM. After flashing this ROM I was stuck in a bootloop. I ended up using LG Tool to get it back to stock. I thought it must have been a random once off issue so I tried again with Freegee, same thing happened, only this time no matter what I do I can not get LG Tool to fix the issue as it keeps giving me the error of low battery even though it is at full capacity. I then tried to use BC2 to flash a kdz file and I get the same error. I have since tried factory resetting, sideloading different recoveries, ROMs and basebands without boot. I have tried to use LG Tool about 50 times and it is not working. I have changed USB ports, reinstalled drivers etc, just keeps giving me that error. Yes I have set permission in the app and I am using Windows 7

have not tested this from cm rom but works from any stock. bytheway i have optimus G not pro
from recovery adb push rom.zip (your rom)
adb push rom.zip /sdcard/0
(0 required for cwm and cm10.2)
flash that rom
enable debugging
run lgflash tool one that supports large files or the online one it will pass the battery and auto restart in download mode there it will give error just unplug replug and retry and it will be flashed this time.

after that is installed flash CM11 using the same sideload

i can fix bootloop to cwm or recovery just 2 minutes. but u have to backup your stock recovery fírst before install cwm or twrp.
so thiss step to solve after u have boot loop. that u need to restore back your stock recovery on mmcblk0p28 then reboot. you will stuck at factory software repair. keep ur fone connected with the computer and type adb reboot. then u can boot into android os. and final step. u reinstall your custom recovery again and Enjoy. this fixing not for newbie and im typing it on my fone. someone can make automation script to help People solve it im lazy

Thanks for trying to help. I am not running stock and can not get a stock ROM to work (with locked bootloader obviously)
LG Tool is requesting for a TOT file which the E988 doesn't have, I have tried using E98810D_00.kdz file in the software field but it is not recognising the cab file. The DLL file is recognised but I don't know what else to do from there.
LG Mobile Support Tool keeps failing on me due to low battery error which as you can see, I have been trying my hardest to get it to work. Battery is at 99% but it still won't flash! - I am stuch with a custom ROM and a dodgy unlocked bootloader due to the latest release FreeGee.
I tried the old file you attached but it fails to download the image file to unlock my bootloaders, I guess because it is already unlocked.
What I need now is to find a way to relock my bootloader that doesn't involve LG Tool/LG Mobile Tool and then try the old FreeGee app again. Or I find a way to get passed this stupid battery warning

If that doesn't work the follow the instructions I posted earlier and it will get your phone booting again. As for getting back to stock and unlocking the bootloaders without causing kernel issues, I am still waiting for a response from Seth. He has been making a lot of changing as this is a known problem. The latest version is supposed to work like it used to now.

Thanks! This worked 100%. Something's really up with the freegee CWM, totally useless. Had 3 days of a headache till I saw this post. I used to be a CWM guy, now TWRP all the way...! The interface is touch based and much easier to handle than CWM. Best of all it doesn't go into a bootloop! Cheers! :good::good:
A few weeks ago I installed the stock Hong Kong E988 KitKat KDZ using this guide on my E980:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2754294&nocache=1
No problems other than the known 16GB storage issue and CWM 6.0.4.4 doesn't see an external sdcard.
I kept meaning to either do the E988 clockworkmod restore method to get the full 32gb of storage or
esimon311's E980 CWM restore or flashable zip, but since CWM didn't see my external sdcard it wasn't happening.
I finally used freegee to install CWM 6.0.4.7 yesterday which does see external sdcards. I made a nandroid backup and did the
E988 restore. It resulted in the bootloop to recovery problem. Multiple attempts with LGFlashTools and the ATT Kitkat TOT
resulted in wrong dll or device error after 4 seconds.
I tried the E988 KDZ method that worked weeks ago but the R&D Test Tool crashes during KDZ extracting no matter what.
I adb pushed MadMack's hacked TWRP which I used to run when I was using CM11 or Beanstalk, hoping that it was a recovery issue.
I was able to flash it but rebooting just resulted in full brick stuck on the LG logo.
I can get the phone into Download Mode and try all of the above, but still no joy...
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We have the same problem before.
please delete the previous LMOBILE EAX contents from pRogramdata and unimstall msxml and LG drivers from Programs Control Panel. and start again from scratch.
Take note to disable Antivirus and Enable Windows Enabler with ON.
Before you click the Marwin, make sure BOTH drivers from Windows and your phone are installed.
To fix the internal low 10 GB storage from e988 Kdz file, just simply flash the Panama Rom KDZ file Jellybean.

Hello... I recently posted a thread about a Continuous Reboot on my Tmobile Galaxy S4. I later fixed the Reboot, but still have this little problem about my TWRP not Booting up completely. I have been using TWRP since a while and it works well. It started the problem when the Reboot issue started. I have flashed the .img file with flashify and also the .tar file on Odin.. It just get stuck on the "TEAMWIN" Blue splashscreen and would not get to the Menu. I flashed CWM and it booted up... I can even flash a Zip but cannot do factory/data reset... it would restart the Device.
I really need TWRP because its mostly recommended for flashing ROMS and i need it to do a FULL wipe of my Device.
What else can i do please?
Also... would be glad if someone can point out to a .zip CWM Flashable Wipe Script... Need to get my Device FULLY WIPED!!!!

If you are sure that you have SGH-M919, and you are rooted, you can use the TWRP Manager app from the Play Store to download the most current version of TWRP and have the app install it. This is the way that I install/update TWRP on my rooted SGH-M919. I'm running Stock rooted NH7 4.4.4.
After installing TWRP Manager, go to the Install TWRP option, select your Device Name, and then select which version of TWRP to install. It will then download that version, and install it to the Recovery partition.
Rob
Flasify from the play store also works well installing recovery, I used it for my SG4.
Pp.
Thanks to all..
I have fixed it myself... I'm sure some partitions got corrupt or something.
SOLUTION
I Flashed Stock Firmware in Odin with "Erase NAND all" Checked...
I then Reflashed Stock in Odin with a PIT File and "RePartition" checked.
I flashed the same TWRP File and it booted completely!!!
:good:
*** EDIT ***
Can anyone please help with EFS Backup to restore my IMEI? I dont have a Backup and my IMEI gone Null/Null & Baseband Unknown.
Any Help?

Guys I have serious problems with my LG G3 D855 - From Brazil
A long time ago I can't enter download mode because the phone can't pass the download mode logo (?), just like 'd.jpg'.
That wasn't a problem till the same occours in the recovery, just like 't.png'. No matter how much time, the phone keeps stuck in this screen.
My system is CM 13, I can't install any update or kdz or tot file. The system boots ok, the problem is that CM 13 is nightly and some apps doesn't work properly. I've tryed flash original recovery, the new twrp 3.0, the old twrp 2.8.5, and still get this. Tryed clear cache from adb but no sucess.
ADB through system still work fine, that can be a path to my solution.
Anyone can give a hand?
Anyway, Thanks!
Download mode might be about driver
Twrp did you install right version
Reccommend reinstall whole system kdz or tot flash

Can you show me the correct driver? I've already installed two drivers for this phone and the Google adb drivers
