Dialer tones - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Has anyone taken the time to fix the dialer tones, not just so it doesn't make the ridiculous drip sound, but so it makes the actual dialing tones when numbers are pressed?

The best you might be able to do is change the drip sounds to another sound, but since it is really simulated, you are not going to be able to make each key give out it's real tones.
More detail.
When you are dialing a number, the numbers you are dialing are not actually sent anywhere until you actually hit the send button. That is how you can backspace out of of what you dialed. So what you are hearing is just feedback to let you know you dialed a number. When you hit send, the numbers you have entered are then sent as the string of codes to the carrier to make the call.
After you have a call going and are connected, any keyboard presses are sent as actual tones to the other side, but even then the tone you hear on your end is a beep with the same sound (not a drip but different) no matter what buttons you press. The proper tones are heard on the other side.
So the best you can do is replace the drip sound with another sound, but it will never be a different tone for each key.

Anyway to ignore a text while on the phone? Ex: when on a call and a text comes in my text message tone would start playing while i'm on the phone which makes it difficult for you to hear the other person so you have to wait until the tone finish.
P.S. hopefully i explained this good enough
I picked a shorter tone
choose a shorter tone?
Pick a shorter sound/tone to an sms/email event, so interruption during a call is diminished.
Is there an option or a cab for the phone that makes it vibrate instead of some tone while your on the line talking to someone?

Is it Possible?

I have been getting incredibly irritating calls from overseas from telemarketing scams. I have tried basically everything aside from changing my phone number... I would like an app or some kind of program that would allow me at the press of a button to send the loudest irritating screeching noise pulses down the line. Not sure if it can be done, but im bout ready to go get a new number!
Use a call blocker... If it's a Private Number I don't see any other solution then to get a new number

[Q] No keypad sound in dialer when in call?

I have a N7102 with the stock ROM. When I am in a call, say, calling some customer service number, that will require to enter number on keypad of the dialer to navigator thru the menu, I cannot hear any sound feedback. Before making the call, when enter the phone numbers on the dialer, I can hear the water drop sound. I have checked all places for settings but cannot find any option that seems related to this. It is really wired to hear nothing when touching the keypad. Anyone can help? Is this a ROM problem?

[Q] DTMF on dialer?

Hey guys, I just purchased my S3 on Friday (decided that I didn't need the S4 and the S3 was only $50) and I've already come across a few things that are annoying, even though I already love the phone.
My main issue at the present, though, is that I'm used to (and prefer) hearing the DTMF tones when I'm dialing a number in the phone app, but I can't find any way to enable that with this phone. Is there a way to change the keypad tone without rooting the device, or is it going to require root to do so?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Go like ur making a phone call when u see the dialer then press the menu u will see ringtone and keypad tones go in there and click to turn it on

To clarify, you can have a bubbly kind of noise when you hit the dialpad, but not DTMF tones. That setting is :
dialer>menu>Call Settings>Ringtones and keypad tones>Keytones
Kind of bugged me at first too, but I got over it
I would guess there must be some third party dialer that gives you DTMF back, but I got used to it pretty quick, especially since i hardly ever make a call from the dial pad any more.

I even got the problem that my S4 does not send the dtmf signal. I cannot call a hotline or service number or anything. Most of the hotlines ask for a number to go on...e.g. 1 for English, 2 for German etc.
That's not possible with the S4 due to the bubble sound. I assume you got the same problem with your S3, didn't you?

My s3 has dtmf tones, it's under phone>menu>call settings>then scroll down, 3rd option from the bottom. I still have the bubbly sound when dialing but the dtmf tones are still there.

Correct!! The bubbly sound is when you first dial. Once connected the dial pad works just fine and the dtmf tones are all there. Any service line that you call that requires dtmf tone work perfectly.

Might turn out that it is just me =)
In the menu, there is not such an entry. There is just Call settings>Ringtones and keypad tones>Keypad tones is checked. It says "Play tones when keypad is pressed. There is no other entry indicating something related to dtmf.
I cannot imagine that it does not work, since it is a very essential function. Am I wrong?

Don't go into ringtones & keypads, just scroll down
Tsss...what a f...
I just called a hotline, there was no dtmf signal to navigate through the menu. Afterwards, I turned the background noise reduction of and tried it again. It was working properly and I could navigate through the menu. I turned the background noise reduction on again and it is still working, so there was just a conflict between the signal and the noise reduction....
Damn system LOL I am working on that since Saturday...
Problem solved!

Voicemail questions - Low volume - LG G7 on Verizon in the US

Not sure if all carrier versions have this or not....
I can access my voicemail three different ways on the phone. I can hit the voicemail notification and it will call the voicemail number. Or, I can go to the dialer and hit and hold the number 1 until it dials the voicemail number. Or, I can click on the red icon on the launcher screen with what I'm guessing is an image of white tape spanning between two reels.
My question is mostly about the icon version of getting my voicemail. When I click the icon, I can see a date, time and duration of prior voicemails I've received. If I click on one, it brings me to a screen with an outline of a head and shoulders, and three buttons below. The button on the left pulls up an additional volume control, named "call" (in addition to the normal 4 volume sliders I usually get). Even with the volume maxed, I can barely hear the voicemails through the ear speaker. If I hit the "speaker" icon, I can hear the message quite loudly through the bottom speaker, but no matter what I do, I can barely hear it through the ear speaker, as the volume is just too low.
If I dial in to my voicemail using either of the first two methods above, everything is nice and loud with no issues.
Any thoughts on how to get the volume higher while using the voicemail app? Maybe a hidden setting somewhere?
Also, I may be remembering this incorrectly, but I thought that when the phone was new, it would take the voicemail and do a voice to text and display the text on screen (is that visual voicemail?) For whatever reason, the phone no longer does this. Is that something that is built into the phone, or something that Verizon includes? And if it is a Verizon service, is it a pay service or is it free? How do I access that voice to text ability for emails?
TIA,
Andy
