Wireless constantly turning on

just like on my epic 4g, the wireless is constantly turning on for no reason. is there a way to just disable it so theres no option to turn on by itself?

Next time do a search. There are at least 4 of these threads.
Settings-more settings- mobile networks- connections optimizer.

i did search and did try that. did i do it incorrectly? i unchecked the box but that didnt help

Have you soft reset the phone since you unchecked that box? That might help.

Mine turns back on also after turning the optimizer off.

you can uninstall the optimizer with titanium

Dull red light always on

Hi everyone
I just noticed while being in the dark a red light to the right of the front speak (on the side where the camera is) is always on.
Why is this?

I noticed it too. I think its an infrared sensor. Maybe so the stay awake and smart rotation features work in the dark.

Rebooting your phone should work to turn it off.

Turn off quick glance in settings-motions, that solved it for me.

It's the proximity sensor.
I use screenOn to save the power button. Like Rhiannon said, if you have quick glance on, it will also use it

i had it stuck on for a while. none of the motion stuff was on and it was persistent. a restart fixed it and it hasnt misfunctioned since.

Can anyone suggest me a app that will turn off wifi when screen turns off, if there is one

Deep sleep battery saver is what I use, I have it turning off wifi and data when screen is off

Do you just set the traffic to 0KB or is there another way to configure this, I also noticed that it will use your wifi to download ads so is this helpful?

In wifi settings press menu button, choose advanced and select second option. Set wifi to never when sleeping.

NFC Help!!!

For some reason my nfc will not stay on, I turn it on and it turns off immediately. .. iv tried a few roms and all are the same way

App keeping my wifi on

My wifi will not turn off when in sleep mode. How can I tell which app is keeping my wifi on? The battery show wifi always on. Setting has wifi off when in sleep.

Found my issue. Went to setup and applications. Looked at what was running and turns out Viber was keeping the wifi on even thou I didn't setup Viber at all. Uninstalled app and now does to deep sleep without the WiFi
