The biggest change with this build is that it is compatible with every single variant of the Galaxy S3 (AT&T, TMo, Sprint, Verizon, etc.
The way it does this is by executing a script during flash that identifies your bootloader and loki-patches the boot.img (kernel) if you are on one of the locked bootloader variants (AT&T or Verizon) and, for all others, leaves the kernel alone. It also adds any overlays for your device variant (APN's, etc.). Pretty freaking cool.
So SGS3 users (except for i9300/i9305, sorry): come one, come all, and flash this Liquidy goodness without worrying about a status 7 error or the dreaded yellow unauthorized triangle.
FAQ:
Q - Can I flash this on my (d2att,d2spr,d2tmo,d2cri,d2mtr,d2usc,d2vzw)?
A - Yep
Q - Can i flash this on my i9300/i9305?
A - No, sorry. Why are you even in this forum?
Q - The progress spinner looks like it's having a seizure, I'd like to report a bug.
A - We are well aware of that and looking for a fix.
Q - I'm having crazy issues with _____ after flashing the latest nightly. PS: I dirty-flashed.
A - Clean Flash and see if the bugs our still there
Q - It wont flash with TWRP, how do i fix it
A - This is a issue with LiquidSmooth to flash with twrp follow this method:
1. Factory reset
2. Reboot to recovery
3. Flash
Q - Why can't I change the language?
A - Unfortunately, offering different languages in a ROM isn't as simple as checking an option when building from source...it requires someone (bilingual, obviously) to go through the source code and replicate the strings in the respective language. It's a fairly simple process, but it requires community contribution (especially when the dev team is English-speaking). If you'd like to contribute, just pm me and I can help get you started.

Been on this ROM for a week and by far my favorite. Keep up the great work, very smooth!!!!
Voicemail
Does this have the issue of the voice mail icon popping up and not going away? Almost every KitKat Rom I have tried has this issue.
OK so this is two nightlies in a row that I've had issues with the keyboard FC when I try to use the swipe feature. First time I thought it was just because I didn't a nandroid restore of my data. This time I did everything completely fresh and it's still happening. Any ideas?

Yeah that's my bad. Should have looked before asking. Working fine with that keyboard. FYI with the stock keyboard most times I wouldn't get a FC message, the keyboard would just collapse and wouldn't come back up without backing out of the messaging app and going back in. Other times the FC message would show. Not sure what if anything I was doing differently to get the different results but thought it might help you to know when researching.
Also all looks good on the latest build. Great work!
First boot, sans gapps, and after letting it settle I noticed the disappearing/force closing keyboard. I rebooted into recovery and flashed PA modular micro gapps anyway and, I don't know if it's coincidence but, the keyboard is working now. I haven't fully tested everything yet but everything I have checked seems to work. I'll play with it some more tomorrow, but so far so good.
I extracted the build. Prop and changed
ril.subscription.types=NV,RUIM
Removed the RUIM
ro.cdma.subscribe_on_ruim_ready=true
And Removed the above line all togagher
Rezip
In hopes it would not force my phone in to roaming and stick me on the activation screnn
But wont install at all now gives an error.
Any ideas?

Are there any suggestions on doing something to boost the volume? It's really quiet on normal phone calls and when using speaker phone.
I tried Viper4Android, but didn't notice any change.
Looks good

Very nice ROM. The only minor bug I've found is that the "Button actions" settings for the Lock screen (Lock screen => Interface => Button actions) don't seem to work, though the Hardware buttons settings for the Home screen (Navigation => Hardware buttons) seem to function properly. Please advise if I'm doing something incorrectly.
One other feature I would respectfully request is the ability to exclude some apps from the lock screen navigation (per AOSB).
Great job on the ROM. Thanks.
Update: The "Button actions" seem to be limited to the Back and Menu button. If I set a custom action to the Home button (e.g. turning on the flashlight), it (and only it) works on the Lock screen. Also, I tried disabling the Hardware buttons settings and a few other things to see if that was causing a conflict, but it's still not working.
Is there a way to leave my ringtone on vibrate but disable vibration everytime I receive a notification?

Installs fine on twrp 2.6.3 (no errors), but it hangs at Samsung Note 3 screen for a while. Then eventually boots. It gets stuck at boot animation. I tried it once with Gapps and once without. CWM seems necessary.

Well my tester got back to me and it doesn't boot so i have uploaded a older build that does boot, but has a little bit more bugs. for now that will do until i can fix the audio-caf errors i am getting.
If anyone would be willing to help that would be wonderful, we track are own audio-caf for a strict-aliasing fix, and merge in cm's changes the errors i am getting are these:
hltetmo: http://pastebin.com/AwDkTvYT
hltespr http://pastebin.com/iFR9mygR
repo is located here: https://github.com/LiquidSmooth/android_hardware_qcom_audio-caf
Looks like cm team committed some updates wonder what they fixed

i am so happy to see this ROM !!
I will flash as soon as i have a chance !!
And have the same question as @jpeps , where do i get CWM ? is there a thread for it yet ? if so, havent seen it...
I see the thread here and also in the 9005 forum.. For Canadians which would be better to flash?
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
Tested today, flashed through CWM x2. First time with GAPPS and second w/o. The first time I was constantly getting dropped signals, sending SMS worked fine and WiFi also dropped continuously. The second time I was experiencing the same but it was happening less often.
Twrp works guys just make sure you have the newest one
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
I second the TWRP post above. I have 2.6.3.8 and it installed fine for me. First boot took alittle while at the Samsung screen but after the first boot, boot times were rather fast. SMS, data, audio (albeit low volume), work fine. No calling (which we all know doesn't work), random reboots when changing settings from time to time. All options work great (i.e. Halo, Dark settings, Navbar, Themes, etc.). I installed PA Google apps and all seems to work fine. Will keep checking other things and post more as I run across them. Great work and thanks again for all the hard work and dedication. I'm sure I am speaking for many when I say it's nice to see this much progress for our N3..:good:
I'm confused...Do I flash the beta in the op or the one in the link a few posts down?

You can try both, but the one in the comments can boot successfully, the beta is a hit or miss. Don't take my word for it though, I'm not flashing until it's a tad more stable .

I flashed the beta in the OP. As far as I know they are one in the same. It takes you to a directory where there are three versions (Sprint, T-Mobile and the 9005 I think). Should be 3.0 beta from the 28th last I checked..

I have to just say Wow! Super impressed with how well this rom works. I cannot believe how fast it is. Obviously it's not ready to be a daily driver & I didn't notice any bugs that haven't been reported. Keep up the good work guys & thank you very much for sharing this.
I flashed this on my Canadian SM-N900W8 Galaxy Note 3 and it looks to be working well!
Bugs :
- No camera
- No Calling
- 5 Signal bars are always empty
- Battery Charging Animation weird or make Sys.UI crash
- First Boot incredibly long (Might not be an issue though, but it is longer than Stock with Touchwiz)
- Status Bar in launcher is not well sized and is not transparent. (Same for bottom)
Otherwise it is INCREDIBLY FAST! Touchwiz to hell!
I am going to flash Touchwiz again because I need calling, but as soon as it gets fixed, I will be right back!

tried installing it, but it kept asking for the the v4a driver. i got up to modifying build.prop and rebooting it, but it still wants to install the v4a driver anyway, it's such a hassle. i'll just wait for a fix or deal with low volume for now.

It's supposed to ask you to install the driver, you select one of the options and then reboot. That should be it. Was that the way of it or do you get the prompt for a driver even after installation of it?
Actually the whole thing is easier if you flash this zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2625056&d=1394549299
After booting, open the app, select the audio driver you want, then reboot again. BTW if you do this get rid of any older versions of Viper you just tried to install.

Support on this thread is for LiquidSmooth ROM related issues only.
While we do not mind helping, its getting impossible to sort through issues that are ROM related or not. Persistent non-ROM related issues are best suited for the Sprint Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting Section.
Below is a few things I would appreciate you list when you are having issues so we have as much information as possible when trying to help you with your problems.
Is this a Clean flash
Is this the stock kernel
What firmware revision are you on
What gapps package are you using
Have you had this issue on other ROMs
Do you have any apps that change/modify system preferences (Xposed, etc)
Do you have any task killers installed
If you are having app issues, are they running off of internal memory or extSdCard
saved
Nice!
Storage
Has anyone experienced a weird partitioning? Says I only have 457MB available but only shows maybe 2-3 gbs of space that's taken up. My internal storage bar shows 3/4 available....
Also where is a file manager?
Just finished downloading. Need to charge my battery before installing. Excited to try out a Lollipop ROM. When I downloaded Gapps I had to correct the link.

So far so good
Been up and running for approx. an hour testing here and there. I had to use the fix supplied by the snazy user above ... jlmancuso (thank you kindly) As stated data takes a minute or two to get picked up and kick in but it does work here and not to sporadic.
Other than the GPS issue everything else seems to be good to go. I will confirm that Native Tethering DOES work!!! It is one of the first things I tested as it is a deal breaker on a daily driver for me.
Great work cant wait for more custom options.
Very snappy ROM, but after a few hours (nor sure what I did) my phone went into a boot loop. Getting ready to wipe to reinstall.
Gapps and SD card
Please point me in the direction of the gapps. And I don't know why a few roms back i lost access to the SD card. I have a 64 fat 32. It reads in my unrooted tablet fine. Just wondering any insight to this and if it's bc of the upgrade in os. Please help and can't wait to flash

Runs great. I like the dark UI and viper mod.
I also found out that in accessibility the color correction mode works decently if you choose the middle one. Red/green I believe. Not perfectly accurate but good.
I thought I was doing something wrong when I couldn't open developer options haha.

I'm sorry but I can't seem to find the download for 5.0. Link takes me to Dr Devs with old versions listed. Let me know. Thanks, Can't wait to try.

I like this ROM. I know it is still a test ROM. Some issues I have is random liquid smooth live screen saver that is really annoying. The music audio is fantastic. I have issues with Bluetooth when making a call and the call hangs; GPS is not at best but works. Looking forward to the next nightlies for bugs fixes. Good job to the developers for their hard work.

I flashed nightly build and gapps for lollipop. So far it looks good. No wifi or data issues. Weather info in notification area shows up as null. Thanks
Installed the ROM and 5.0.x Gapps. ROM works great ! Big fan of LiquidSmooth roms.
My phone can't see 5GHz wireless network. Is this a known issue ? Anything I can do to make the phone see the 5GHz wireless network ? 5 GHz wireless network working after clearing cache.
I did a clean install using TWRP 2.8.1.0. I am using PA Gapps 5.0.1 (20141218).
Netflix working? Thanks for the rom, liquid smooth is all ive run for my last few devices. Also should the ota updater be working for when the newer builds start dropping?

S Pen Features?
Kinds Sirs:
I am researching this ROM as OmniROM doesn't include the standard S Pen features.
Where might I find a more detailed listing of what's included on LiquidSmooth?
Previous to OMNI I was quite happy with Conch Republic but wanted more updates, so I'm looking around a lot.
Thanks, In Advance!

Make sure you are using the latest titanium Backup and I recommend using SuperSu and not the built-in one if you haven't already switched. If you're referring to restoring system apps I don't think Titanium Backup will do this properly in lollipop yet as the system files aren't stored the way they've been in previous Android versions. I haven't had any heating problems so I cannot give any suggestions to that.

2015-01-31 ROM is up.
Main change is the kernel, we are now officially including BMS kernel in our d2 builds.
gapps package linked in this thread is Banks L Minimal, so be careful when you formerly used another one from 201411xx, please wipe cache before flashing ROM to avoid issues when switching gapps packages. Or just clean flash them.
EDIT:
oh, word of caution, we forgot to dial down the cpu clock in BMS kernel, so your phones will run 1.8GHz after flashing this ROM. Please go to Performance settings and dial it down to stock 1512MHz or whatever you prefer and check the box Apply on boot.
EDIT2:
Performance Settings Apply on Boot option doesn't seem to work yet, but you can use app like No-Frills CPU Control or Infamous Performance to achieve the same goal.
Also, anybody still experiencing inconsistent baseband issues on d2att at this point, please try updating your modem/radio firmware to later one:

Downloading this today!!
I know this is under development, and I'm not going to be using this as a daily driver - I won't even have a SIM in this phone, I just want to keep up on the android side of things. I've recently flashed the 10-27 and the 12-1 builds of 5.0 for d2att, and I'm noticing some LS features that I have loved in the past are not (yet) part of this LP LS ROM. Things like customizing status bar colors, adding battery bar, lockscreen customizations....etc. These are still being developed, yes? (NOT asking for eta, just hoping those are planned inclusions)
Even what is in there is stable (except camera, and that was already a known issue), Thanks for all your work on this ROM LS team!!
EDIT: Tried a dirty flash over LS 20141201 build, just stays on Boot animation. Reflashing clean with additional kernel flash as recommended....

Yes, all LS features are in plans to get added later, for now it is still beta and except camera is pretty much fully functional ROM with some LS features already in there.
Mind that if flashing latest nightly, I advise you also reflash the kernel from zip package after ROM+gapps. Reason is that inline BMS kernel we used now has no limiter defined and will max out CPU OC to 1.8GHz on boot
BMS in zip package has the script to limit that to stock 1512MHz.
Bms zip package:

Baseband on d2att should work without trouble, been working fine since December 1st first actually ...

OK, just for information, if it helps: after clean flash of 20150131, recommended Gapps, and the BMS kernel, I don't have any luck with stock camera, open camera will not do video (but I have not tested all settings, only default settings) and is altogether super buggy - like if I go into the menu, enable/disable something, and return to the camera it will tell me that the camera is currently in use, sometimes FC and sometimes reboot.
Aside from camera, I have found no issues thus far, but I'll keep playing with it as I have time. But I cannothas (see what I did there!) test cell or data, I have no sim card for this.
Sweet!!:highfive:
EDIT: Holy Massive battery drain, batman!! Installing better battery stats to see what it might be. I did not experience this on 20141201
EDIT2: I disabled wifi, connected to BT internet tether (bluetooth works), and now the wifi is buggy to get enabled again. At length the toggle finally enabled wifi, but not on the first try.

OK, not sure if this is ROM related, kernel or gapps (or a bad flash) but I attempted to add my gmail calendar, but syncing the calendar is not an option under accounts. It's just missing... I'm still playing to see what's up...

In these builds the stock camera does not work. What I do for a work around for now is the following
Advanced wipe (dalvik cache - system - data - internal storage - cache )
Flash Rom - Reboot
Let it set for 10 minutes - Reboot
Flash Gaps / Kernel - Reboot
Upon reboot download "Titanium backup" you will need premium
Freeze the stock camera - Then download "Open Camera" and use open camera
For Video it has been confirmed that VivaVideo works.
I did this process because I opened the stock camera already and clearing the cache did not work.

You can just disable the Camera (stock app) under Settings/Apps/All .. that's what I do. I use Open Camera for pics (just don't use touch to focus/zoom and it's ok), missing video doesn't bother me much for now and it looks like a bit of hassle to get it working.

You are correct you can do it that way. I did it that way at first and had the same focus/zoom issue but seemed that freezing it with titanium I am able to zoom/focus which is nice since I use camscanner to scan/email.
Of course I might just be lucky.. doesn't happen often haha!

So you can zoom/focus and "touch screen" on OpenCamera without freezing application ?
How do you do that ? By Titanium ?
We decided that since we have now 2 branches to choose from with Liquid Smooth Lollipop, then for now, starting tomorrow, we will be providing builds for both branches, one with Themes, other with Layers.
There will be changes in download locations, you will see 2 subfolders in under d2att and d2cri links, one called Liquid Themes, other Liquid Layers. Pick yours.
I will get it updated tomorrow.
Not too shabby on the battery life. Keep in mind I have no SIM, but WiFi and BT were on almost the entire time. Basic setup, no email or Google services really running at all.
