I'm working on a status bar and the cell or WiFi icon doesn't seem to be working correctly.
When on WiFi it works on as in shows the current signal strength ok but when WiFi is not connected it's showing like I only have 1 bar of WiFi.
I'm using the icon set minimal status icons and mode WiFi / cell signal with advanced parameters to change the size.
Any ideas

That's probably a bug with the icon set you are using. I think that one wasn't updated for ages so it might not use the latest available states. I made a status bar with wifi/signal/battery icons that mimic the system versions and where wifi hides if not connected. It's part of my Vertique skin which you can check out here. The icons are font based and not in a icon set but if you want, I can provide you with my template as a base for your work.

Hmm. Just checked and everything works fine for me. Sounds like Zooper isn't polling the correct values. Could you please make a widget that prints out the variables #NCSTATE#, #NCSIG# and #NWSTATE#, put that on the same screen as my statusbar widget and then make two screenshots, one with wifi connection, one without?
Oh and on which Zooper version are you?
I'll do this later as I'm not able to get on WiFi right now.
I'm using zooper pro. v2.44

Seems to me on the screen shot that the wifi icon is correctly hidden? The overlapping battery icon shouldn't be there though. I sometimes notice that after editing the widget but it goes away after a short moment. Does it stay the whole time for you?
More of a problem though is that you use 4G. This currently supplies Zooper with wrong values for cell signal and thus the cell icon will not display any bars.
Ah OK. So zooper is no good with 4G data?
Yes the overlapping battery is the all the time.

i hate to have to resurrect this long dead thread, but is there still an issue with 4G and zooper icon sets?

I have no idea, but you can try to just strip the background away and leave it transparent an make sure your custom icons are Centered correctly. I haven't had the problem you're having but in theory the transparent method might work.

this
if you just make the icon bg's transparent then they will still look fine if you change your notibar color (unless u change it to white )
OR
you could open up one of the icons that does match the notibar and copy/paste that gradient to the one you need to fix
also, I don't know if this would create a problem but I always make sure to save icons and such as "save for web and mobile devices" in photoshop

I did try to copy onto a gradient icon that did work. For some reason it still came out wrong as you see on the image.
"save for web and mobile devices" would this help with image size? Currently they are coming out nearly triple of stock. example stock icon=1.31kb modded icon=3.97. I'm sure stripping the gradient will help but is still huge compared to stock.

i use cs5 fireworks for editing all pngs and no change for editing .9's. like neb said you can either find each add'l file and redo filter repeatedly through all the bg's or you can just make them transparent like neb said. I'm loving it!!!
This thing is frakin amazing!!
Ok so I took out everything except for what I needed. No gradient nothing else left but the white notification icon. Then exported it with "save for web & devices" (this helped on file size thanks) Now what its doing is, icon appears correctly when its slide down into position, but then the icon stock background color gets added on (wrong gradient). Its so quick but I can see it happening.
On the plus side some did change like all battery icons and wifi, but the rest seem to be doing what I explained above very frustrating. Ive attached one of the icon's that I'm working on if anybody whats to help me out.
Rom Fresh 0.3 if that helps any.
Hi all,
I just wanted to show my first android app I developed. It is a bit similar as notification toggle, but I just developed it to learn java/android.
You can set 3 different settings as notification toggles (wifi, screen rotation, bluetooth), seems unnecessary for cm9/7
You can set any app as a shortcut
always-on-top accessibility service
notification panel folds when shortcut is selected
Please tell me want you think of it, i only tested it on cm10.

I have got a freeze with but perhaps, it's because I have been too fast in pushing the toggles... By cons, it will be good that the launching of applications closes the panel of notification in same time.
Nice app bro. It works well on Team NYX RC5. Tested with Wifi and Bluetooth. If you implement GPS toggle, Flashlight and Sound toggle, it will be a very good app.
Keep up the good work.

Nice work mate! I've been looking for this since I had JKay on a Samsung ROM, but I would never go back to Samsung from CM9
Is there any way to hide the blank notification icon in the status bar? I assume this is inherent to the way the shortcuts are loaded as a notification.
Also, how's it going with the auto-close drawer update?
Great

that's finished already, but need to make some more changes, for making it more memory efficient.
But i thought nobody was really interested
it is not possible to hide it, i might change it to a logo. It is also not possible to make 2g/3g or GPS switch due to android policy (even with root). Only a shortcut is possible to the settings page
For info:
This application works on Jelly Bean for bluetooth (on/off), it works too for Wi-Fi (on/off)!
Think you can add other as standby Toggle for example?
up
updated version:
Notification panel folds after app selection
Accessibility service added for always-on-top
A slightly better layout of the notification shortcuts
the accessibility service should be enabled if you want the notification shortcuts to be always-on-top of the notification panel.

Planned for next version
* Based on XXBLG1
* Layout improvements (make top space = bottom space = between-rows space)
* React to bluetooth headsets (might be delayed until v0.3)
v0.1 (10 Jul 2012)
* Initial release
* Based on XXALF6
Looking forward to some feedback. Did it work? Or did your phone burn up?
Can I confirm with you that the important changes are in the app_list_view.xml, ids.xml, public.xml and CANotiView.smali files? (InteractionManager.smali, too, possibly but I haven't looked at it in great detail) I'm asking because I run stock so I like to odex my /system/app APKs and also because Samsung seemed to have made other changes in LFB (I'm guessing your ContextAwareService.apk is from Omega 7)
Thanks

Samsung added it in the XXLFB firmware.
EDIT: If you're using a custom ROM, it may be using the XXALF6 version of SystemUI. (When I've ran APKTool on these SystemUIs, I've always found oddities.)

Doesn't seem possible I'm afraid. The reason for this is that what we get in the notification pulldown when we connect the headset is a kind of notification that uses RemoteViews to render itself. A RemoteViews object is limited to including the following (according to the Android docs here):
FrameLayout
LinearLayout
RelativeLayout
AnalogClock
Button
Chronometer
ImageButton
ImageView
ProgressBar
TextView
ViewFlipper
ListView
GridView
StackView
AdapterViewFlipper
What we would have needed is a HorizontalScrollView, and we don't get that. I think this limitation is in place because dy default swiping a notification to the right clears it so we would have inconsistent behavior.
I GUESS it would be possible to hack the framework somehow, but I don't think I have the time or the energy for that.
Thank you for allowing this to be ported to the epic touch 4g
Hi!
Can some one tell me why the apps I choose to be shown does not stay always in the same position? They some time move left and right and so they don't keep same position in notification menu...

This is confirmed working on jedixp8 for the at&t note2
Edit: by the way this is amazing. Also I used to twrp 2.3.3.1 to flash this
Any chance or any way to get this working in an AOKP or CM10 rom?
Any way to go back to stock number of toogles as 12 toogles does not align good for me
I just hide 2 apps in the right side
BTW...my device is a GS2 ..Galaxy 3 should not have issues.

Overview
There are two 4.4.2 codebases right now in existence, one for V5 and one for V6; this one is based on V6..
I mean, this phone is pretty similar resource-wise to the firmware this came from. the resolution should probably be fine but I'll need feedback in every regard since this is really experimental
Working
- Unknown
Not working
- Unknown
Notes
This shares the same codebase as the firmware it came from and everything should be function with connectivity and stuff; but I'll need ADB logs of any error if possible.
This is JFLTE multibase and should work fine on any of the S4 models that fall under that umbrella.

Not Working
Notification panel wider than screen
Soft Keys shown on home screen
Calendar Icon Missing
It really does look super nice, but it is not yet ready for a daily use. (a warning to those who want to try too ^^)
I tried to change the DPI to 320 (all elements look well), and also 400 (everything fits in the notif panel), but both gave me a FC wich would not let me go to the Home screen which is why I could not test out more with those DPI numbers.
Can the DPI change have made that FC (settings) ?

The DU battery apps provides a circular battery indicator on the status bar. But I dont want to use this app because it has a bit high memory footprint (usage). I need an alternative for this functionality. The app should be small and memory usage should be very low. Can anyone suggest a decent one? I tried many but wasnt satisfied. The icon on the notif bar should be circular, neat and clean showing the percentage and also the visual representation of the same just like DU's indicator does.
Thanks in advance.

power toggles is very useful to create a notification bar menu to turn 3g/wifi/sycronization/flashlight/screenlock with just a click
both can put a notification icon on the top, always on, and both runs on background very well
i recomend power Toggles because of the more advanced features
