Hey Everybody,
I know there are a few splash screen threads, but I didn't want to bombard somebody else's thread with the amount of images and download links I'm about to post. I've put together a little over 250 of my favorites. They're all generic, without any added text; however, they're all completely customize-able upon request. If you'd like your name or your favorite ROM's name added to any splash screen, just ask.
Edit: You'll now find splash screens located throughout this thread, as well as in the first few posts. Custom broncos splashies on page three, then another set of 100 or so on pages 4 and 5. Some dark and gory stuff on the end of page 5 as well, and landscapes are on page 6. Team USA splashies are on page 7! I'll try to keep adding the page numbers as we go!
Disclaimer:I am not responsible for anything you do to your phone. If you brick your phone, it is not my fault. Doing anything to your phone involving flashing runs the risk of ruining your device.
Instructions:
Reboot into preferred recovery.
Wipe cache and dalvik cache.
Flash zip.
I always like to wipe cache and dalvik cache again because I'm a little compulsive.
Reboot.
Enjoy!
You no longer have to rename the zip. Flash as is!Notice:I've come to realize that these splash screens do not play nicely with dkp kernel. I would not recommend flashing over these kernels as it results in a glitch screen, then boot loop city. Has been tested on stock kernel and ktoonzes TW and Aosp kernels.
Edit: Splash screen had no issues with the latest AOSP dkp kernel from 1/23, the unified build! Tested on the 1/29/2014.
NOW WORKS WITH DKP KERNEL! THANKS TO @decimalman FOR ALL HIS HELP, AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO VOLUNTEERED TO TEST TO HELP FIX THE ISSUE!
For anyone on Virgin Mobile or Boost, in order to use these you will need to delete the assert lines from inside the zip, just like when modifying a Sprint ROM for use on your devices.
Now for the fun part...
Each image will have a number that correlates with it's zip. They did not upload in order, but I have realigned the image numbers to match the zips. Your download will now match the image, guaranteed!
Maximum upload per post is only 16 zips, and 60 images so check posts below for more links and screenshots!

Thanks a million. If you run into any issues, let me know. One earlier was found to be out of order, even though I uploaded them in order. So, If you go to install one and its not the one you were trying to flash, let me know and I will specifically upload it for you.

Just wanted to let you know two things real quick:
1. Splash screen had no issues with the latest AOSP dkp kernel from 1/23, the unified build! Everything started up just fine for me; I am running the CM 11 nightly from 1/29/2014.
2. For anyone on Virgin Mobile or Boost, in order to use these you will need to delete the assert lines from inside the zip, just like when modifying a Sprint ROM for use on our devices (I am on VM).
Again, great job @balcoresbane!!!

I'm not sure I understand what you talking about.
If you mean the second % at the bottom of icon just uncheck "display battery percentage" from second screen shot.
And you will have only one number at the middle of the battery icon.

Stock % are:
100, 85, 71, 57, 43, 58, 15.
So if my edits didn't stick those are the numbers you will see.
I'll have to edit public.xml and stat_sys_batter.xml again to make it show 1% battery icons.

Using this rom with the Virgin Theme. Working perfectly so far. Was longing for stock, but didnt like the Dexrom's themeing. Otherwise the rom was good.
Either way, im getting good battery life out of this rom so far after about 18-20 hours since flashing. Theme and everything else works perfectly as well.
Can someone check this for me if they are on STOCK roms please. When you plug in headphones that have a mic, does the mic actually work for calls? If your headphones do not have a built in mic, will the phone use the phone's own mic and route the volume through the headphones?
I could have sworn that on the stock rom, if you plugged in headphones wiithout a mic, the phone would route the sound through the headphones and the use the phone's internal mic instead. But it doesnt seem to work anymore.
I am downloading this now to try it out I'll be honest whats peaked my interest are those battery stats!! Atm I am using Blackjelly v0.9.1 (Sprint official) and thats given me the best battery stats I've had since owning my device and my usage is usually about 4 hours screen time and 14 hours standby and then my phones dead lol. Looking forward to checking this out!! The download is SLOW though.. for some reason im sitting at 17 kb/s.. lol
Sorry been really busy working on 3 versions including this one and work and so on . More reports the better :good: Battery life as you know tho is completely different as per user. I get great battery life but I'm not a heavy user and don't play games on my phone either
As for the mic thing mixxy to be honest I have no idea never use a headset for calls .
Great job liking this Rom

Battery Life stats for everyone contemplating flashing this.
I think my total screen on time was about 3 hours and 54 mins.
Hello XDA, forgive me if I posted this thread in a wrong section. I didnt see any similar threads regarding my problem or a Help and Troubleshooting section. So Ive got this teeny tiny problem, hopefully its okay.
Im not so new here, but lately, started like 2 weeks ago(?), the XDA forum site (http://forum.xda-developers.com/) on my PC, my phone, my tablet, looks like this.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

Im sure its not my browser(tried IE and Firefox), nor my internet(tried 3 dif places/isp). Tried clearing cache, no luck. I can hardly read well from the threads. Or is XDA forum having problems and/or maintenance or something?
Thanks in advance.

Try changing the site theme at the very bottom left of the page. I doubt it will help but it will at least narrow down the problem.

Glad that worked, but not sure what the issue was. Many people (myself included) use the 2013 theme and it works fine. Any suggestion I have is blown out of the water by the fact you've seen the same issue on multiple browsers and PCs.
Anyway, it's worth leaving in case anyone stumbles across this with the same issue

Hmm.. choices were XDA Classic, 2010, 2013 Beta, 2013 Beta 1024... Just for extra info, the bold one is the broken one. lol. Using 2013-1024 now. Anyway thanks again. :highfive:
This is related to our CDN. I've purged the cache there, can anyone let me know if this now works for them? I've been hearing about occasional problems over the last few days from the Philippines and now China, so it seems to be focused on their edge(s) in Asia.
If it isn't working for you, they could really use the HTTP Response headers from the request. The url to check on is: http://cdn.media.xda-developers.com/clientscript/2013.min.js
I've been having the same problem for the past few days. Also from the Philippines and switching to the XDA 2013 Beta - 1024 theme has also fixed it for me. I'm not sure what to do with the link for getting the HTTP response header though.
Same problem here. The problems started some time last year. I filed a bugzilla bug for this, but no one is actively investigating it. The problem then went away in January (if I remember correctly) and reocurred yesterday. Selecting XDA 2013 - 1024 fixes it. A copy of the content of the site the .js-link produces is on pastebin (expires in one month).
Please look into this - it's annoying the crap out of me! :silly:
I started seeing this same issue today. it only seems to happen with the 2013 beta theme, I switched to the 2013 beta 1024 theme and it works just fine.
I'm located in the UK if that's of any help..
Same problem here; the 'XDA 2013 Beta' theme appears to be broken but switching to 'XDA 2013 Beta -1024' fixes it.
I'm in the UK if it's relevant, maybe a CDN issue?
Same problem here in germany with 2013 beta.
same here. Italy. it has been looking weird for a few days. on 1024 beta now.
Same problem in Germany from my University's connection regardless of browser used. App and other themes work fine.
Can someone troubleshoot this error by looking at the source of the html and checking to see if they can load the CSS file from their location? This looks like it is a CSS problem, but for the few people I have checked with they said they were able to view the CSS. It seems like some sort of issue with our CDN provider but they said they can't see any problems.

Using Chrome (the browser I've been using to access XDA forums for months), I see my request for http://cdn.media.xda-developers.com/css/2013.min.css is answered with a 304 (not modified) status code and 0 bytes of content are returned. If I clear my cache and repeat, I get a 200 (OK) response but still 0 bytes of content are returned.
Same results with wget.
The IE specific CSS file http://cdn.media.xda-developers.com/css/2013/ie.css works fine. Like the main CSS file, it's answered with a 304 status (when cached by my browser) and 200 status after clearing my cache, but the CSS content is returned successfully.
The CDN server cdn.media.xda-developers.com resolves to 68.232.35.229 for me here (UK broadband connection). Maybe that specific mirror has a 0 bytes file?

I started seeing this same issue today. it only seems to happen with the 2013 beta theme, I switched to the 2013 beta 1024 theme and it works just fine.
I'm located in the UK if that's of any help..

yeah send me a log, im not having this issue though, if possible try to just nandroid, and wipe everything and just re-flash. most of the issues like that are just like a minor bug that can be fixed by just simple reflashing, but if you do and the problem still persist let me know, catlog from the current flash, then reflash and send me that one aswell. but ill still definitely take a look at it though
just an FYI guys, got the ok from Ktoonsez to pack his latest kernel in my rom, new rom will be up soon if you guys wanna grab it

can u be a bit more descriptive? If you mean the phone hasn't came out yet and how can u flash it then I would say wait till it comes out and flash it with recovery (once u have one). Then you would just follow the onscreen instructions.

Will this work for the note 2
You can always unzip the files, try out the audio sounds and then just replace the 3 stock files with the ones you like in system/media/audio/ui, change permissions and reboot.

Thanks, I'm currently using the "put it back" sounds. I've gotten a few good laughs because of it.
