Hi,
I have a Note 8 and Note 10.1 from last year and now I purchased Note 10.1 2014 edition.
I will eventually sell the older Note 10.1 but the Note 8 will remain.
So now I see that the S Note on new Note 10.1 is different than the previous S Note which is on Note 8
If I import old notes to new S note they will not be readable/editable on Note 8.
How can I supply compatibility of S Note on both of my tablets ?
I am willing to use the old S Note or new S note on both of my devices. Any of them which is available on both devices.
Is there a solution ?
Thanks.
I would appreciate if someone has the knowledge...
I assume there's noone else disturbed by this issue.
how ?
it's funny. Am I really the only one with this problem ?
I believe there are tons of people with old and new note tablets.
we should have a common issue here. but I am unable to find a solution...
is there any news on this ?
They should import and be editable. You wont be able to delete anything that is there but you can mark it up similar to a pdf

they can be editable when imported to the new device.
but once they are converted , you can't edit them on the old app/device.
so ?

Developers can you please port the premium suite applications available in the Galaxy Note such as S Memo and S Note. It would be an awesome feature in our Galaxy S3. Please.
I have pre-installed s memo in my sgs 3

But the Premium suite S memo from the Galaxy Note have a lot of other special features available other than our galaxy S3 S memo.
"Premium" suggests that you pay a premium to get the note with advanced features. Therefore there may be legal issues surrounding porting that.
Reads as a Samsung update for large screen products .

It's not a paid app but it was included in the update of Galaxy Note to ICS. The features of the apps were increased in the update. So I think it won't be illegal in porting the apps.
friends found this while surfing around in the Galaxy Note forum
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0BxadWqrhgc33c2lQYzRBb1Npc0E&export=download
This is the premium suite app from the Galaxy Note and it works in our S3 on a normal install without root. But some work has to be done in adjusting the resolution so that it looks perfect on our S3.
Can anyone confirm that the premium suite does indeed work well on the S III? I have the AT&T Note and use the upgraded S Note app and S Memo app everyday. Especially "formula match" which is part of the productivity tools in the updated S Note app. It connects to Wolfram Alpha to show the different solutions to whatever equation or science problem you hand write. I'm thinking of moving to the S III but cant if it doesn't support these apps which Ive become dependent on. Thanks.
Hi all,
I am planning to buy a Galaxy note 2 64gb when ever its released In Australia.
I also currently have a Nexus 7.
My qustion is, will I be able to use the nfc transfer feature (where you can tap the devices together to transfer photos etc) with my n7 and n2, like you can with the note 2 and galaxy s3, or nexus 7 and galaxy nexus.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Corey

If I have to guess I would say. For what I remember it was the purpose of android beam. Now I may be wrong as until now I only tried and made it work with Samsung devices. I included a screenshot of the NFC option of my NOTE2. I hope it will help

I've got a Note 2 and N7, but I cant seem to get NFC to transfer files.
It seems to be a problem between Samsung S-beam and whatever the N7 uses.
If I try and send a photo from the Note 2, the N7 opens up the Play store and says "item not found"
If I try and share a web page, the browser will open on the other device, but it wont go to the page.

I'm having similar issues as well. I have a Galaxy Nexus and my friend recently bought a Note 2, we tried sending each other pictures but either the Beam would fail or like the person a few posts above mine, it would open up in the Play Store with 'item not found' message.

Actually I have galaxy s3 and nexuse device and I tried to use the NFC between the device. It doesn't support each other. But I don't know about the nexuse 7

Note 2 and Nexus 7 transfer successful
I have a Galaxy Note 2 and a Nexus 7. I was able to successfully send images from my phone to my tablet. Since they both have NFC this is possible. The trick here is to turn OFF the S Beam on the phone so that only the NFC is active on the phone (and NFC active on the tablet, of course).
Settings>>More Settings>>NFC (ON) - S Beam (OFF)
I bought some ebooks with the Samsung credit we got with this device. But I really don't want to read on such a large tablet. Can I access these books on another device? I would rather read on my Nexus 7, but I can't figure out a way to get my books there. I couldn't even find a way to access the on Samsung Note 8 tablet. It doesn't seem reasonable to sell books that can only be read on a single device, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out how to access content I purchased on another tablet.
Thanks

There are applications that provide this option, though your device must be rooted.

Can you share more info? Point me to the apps? My Nexus 7 and my Note 8 are both rooted. My Note 10 isn't, but I willing to root it if it helps.
Thanks

Facebook? That's the only reference I can find to "fBook".
Btw, I tried installing Samsung Hub on my less than one year old (rooted) Samsung Note 8 and it installs but crashes on opening. Same result as on my Nexus 7 with build.prop edited to look like it's a Galaxy S4.
It is just insane that Samsung sells ebooks that aren't compatible with their own tablets.
How can I ever trust Samsung enough to purchase anything from them if what they sell isn't even compatible between the same family of devices of the current generation?!?

FBook is an ebook application.

"Rooted" being key here. They expect it to tun on the stock system. They cannot allow for hundreds of rooted options.

Right on the rooting, nothing special. FBook is the reader I used, it is no longer available. There are others that provide that option though.

Are you saying the reason the Samsung hub app crashes on my Note 8 and Nexus 7 is because they are rooted?
I still have made no progress accessing my ebooks I purchased on my Note 10.1 (2014) on any other device,
Any help is appreciated.

It's probably framework dependant just like a lot of the TouchWiz apps. The note 8.0 should have Samsung hub by default though, assuming you haven't debloated it.

I agree the Note 8 *should* have Samsung Hub, since it is a current generation Samsung device in the same family of tablets, but it doesn't. And it is not even listed as compatible on Samsung page:
http://www.samsung.com/us/samsunghub/
Which is why I'm at a loss why anyone would trust Samsung to buy anything from them if their own tablets aren't even compatible?

Are the books as single files? As in can ou browse for them on your device?
Or is it purchased through an application?
I use a combination of google drive + Moon Reader to achieve some thing similar.
All my books are on the google drive and moon reader + syncs my reading position so I can read on
Various devices

Do you think S-PEN is the thing that you bought Note 2? I bought my Note 2 for more than one year. I barely not use it until my note got KK with S5 Mod. I used it today for memo but I still think the Note function is complicated. I wrote a memo and I want to make it link with my tomorrow schedule(S planner)but it recognized my hand writing as an several parts.I still not know what I can do with scrapbook. I admit that Note 2 has a lot of function but most of them are not simple. What is your opinion?

I found a friend selling a Note 4 in really good condition for under $250. Are there any reasons I would not want to move to a Note 4? Especially looking forward to the OIS on the camera and the full support of NFC for Android Pay (yes, I know Samsung Pay is Note 5 and up only).
Any issues you guys would see that would make that a bad thing?

Why?
Removable battery and SD Card or anything else?
All other specs remains same? I'm in lookout for something similar to Note 3 but more powerful (CPU and RAM), more and removable battery, more and add more memory, more screen but yet to find one.
