[Q] Crash rom v1.5 doesn't work? - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All! I have been having some issues lately with the latest crash rom. I use twrp recovery 2.6.3.0 when i flash the crash rom. I am on the rockettab rom currently when i flash. The issue is after I flash and reboot I get no boot animation and a flickering screen that doesn't look right. Can anyone help me? The rom is also unstable!

Did you make sure you did a full wipe?

Did you flash the zip?
* Flash Rom
* Flash Kernel Zip
* Fastboot Flash Boot Boot.IMG
The kernel zip contains a module file. That's what's missing

This is an Unofficial release, but you should find it stable for everyday use.
Directions:
Wipe Data, Cache, and system (optional but recommended, this will be the first question if you have FCs or random reboots)
Flash the ROM
Flash GApps
Download ICSBoot (not the one in the zip)
Flash boot.img in fastboot
Reboot into the system (first boot will take several minutes)

Note: That was said with tongue firmly planted in cheek, I don't truly believe it would break anything.

I flashed it, how long is first boot supposed to take? been on the CM9 boot animation for over 5 or 6 mins now.
---------- Post added at 08:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:43 PM ----------
Still on boot animation, also the notification LED is blinking orange, is it supposed to do that?

When I flash the kernel (boot.img) via fastboot, do I flash it before I flash the rom or after?

I did do it that way initally but it just got stuck at the HTC hboot splash and wouldn't go any further, I then tried to restore from my backup and had the same issue, I went into fastboot and flashed the kernel from my backup and the restored again and now it boots into the original rooted stock rom. I thought tomorrow I would try flashing the kernel first then the rom and see if that makes a difference.
Anyone else having issues with flashing this rom?

[Q Play Store - Server Error

Hello!
I just installed custom ROM which was: UNOFFICIAL CM9 + 3.0.x Kernel for K-Fire.
Everything is working perfect for me except Play Store. All the time I try to turn it on I get Server Error in the middle of the screen and can't use it. I tried to find solutions on forums but it seems that nobody had similar problems or it solved by itself. I would appreciate for any help.
Thanks a lot!

Flashed from Validus after full wipe (aside from factory reset) system, data, cache, dalvik cache and process system force closed at boot and then proceeds to bootloop. Shall I proceed with a full out wipe, flash the preview 3 bootloader from TWRP. You tell me and I'll test again when I can back up to my laptop. Just another reason to try out some different ROMs if it doesn't work.
Edit... I was flashing your n preview ROM.
Edit again... See you have a thread with instructions. Glad I couldn't help at all.
Thanks for your effort, I'll hit that up in a bit.

Nope... Twas not.
I'll run it when I get my USB I left at work from your other thread. I left a link on there for those who aren't encrypted or need to get twrp installed. It should run if they rewipe at bootloader and I'm not sure but I believe I flashed 2.8.7.0 first and then upgraded to 3.0.2-0... It works on stock mpd35k.
You're the man BTW. Thanks again and yes I'll hit the thanks button.

I tried it.. the rotation is still not.. maybe because of accelorometer sensor not working... i tested it and it is very messed up.. tried calibrating it but still not fixed...
And i did not tried on7 rom yet... i'll give it a try later some time..
