Hi Guys ,
I Have had my share of problems with the Note2 ,
Went a few roms (Tigra on a few versions) and since most of them were sluggish i recently updated to the Kitkat Asylum Rom.
I Have been dragging the following problem for a few months now and seeking the experts help or advice.
Galaxy Note 2 N7100 - Asylum rom + Stock kernel (that came with rom) or Devil kernel - Same exprience the same issue.
Once i connect the Bluetooth Earphone (Fully updated jawbone era) - i can output a call (sometimes two) - after which the Dialer dies and i cant recieve anymore calls - well - technically i can - but once i click ANSWER - the other side hears me , but i do not ear the other side - both on speaker , earphone or Bluetooth earpiece.
Before the Jawbone era i had plantronics - which gave me the same issues - thats why i changed it first.
It happend with most of the roms - maybe had LESS issues on TIGRA V4 as far as i remember - but all of the other roms - BAH.
Currently - Kitkat gives me the best exprience overall - but i cant mostly use my bluetooth...
Any suggestions ?
Thanks!!

Having read the 4.4 ROM threads, Bluetooth simply doesn't work properly. Some people have intermittent problems, others permanent problems.
I suggest you keep an eye on development waiting for a declared fix.
Good luck

The same happened to me with jabra BT2050 ???

(new member so can't post to the thread for this ROM on Development forum - hope the devs see this).
It seems that with this ROM the Bluetooth handsfree functionality is broken. I have a Bury Crystal CC9060 hands free in the car. It was working fine with Oxygen 2.0.3, after moving to DevNull 1.0.1 I can only hear very very very quiet, distorted audio over the hands free kit. In both cases I'm running the stock kernel from the ROM in question.
I noticed there have been changes in the Kernel around bluetooth audio levels which sounds suspiciously like it could be related. Again I'd post a link to it but I can't due to new member - it is in commit c4805fb1f35152ff1672 and a38cca7b061228d950f9 on thalamus / kernel (github).
Anyone experiencing this - any ideas how to fix or how to get the info to the people in question?
There is a 1.0.2 update now released with all issues fixed - I hope this solves the problem

Thanks, I had looked through the revision history on post 2 of that thread and nothing jumped out at me as being related to the bluetooth audio. I will give the 1.0.2 update a go.
1.0.2 did indeed fix the issue I was seeing with bluetooth handsfree not working correctly. Great!

Excellent. I will be flashing this myself very shortly!
I've just now gone S-OFF using the AlphaRev.iso from a virtual machine on my mac and installed the Oxygen hboot - why couldn't the phone ship like this to start?!?! Much better now
I have this car dock: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008TYXABU
And when I try to use the dock, audio comes out of the speakers on the phone, not through the car. What can I do to fix this?
CM stable or nightly? Don't think stable had the fix in time, but you can enable this on the nightly builds by going to settings, advanced, sound and enabling USB audio.

Nightly
10-20120927-NIGHTLY-d2att is my version.
Settings > Advanced shows just two tabs: Screen and Sensors. Nothing for Sound.
Hi,
I just can't get it to work with my i9100... Audio stays to the internal Speaker of the phone.
Phone: i9100
ROM: Nightly CM10.1 (19-01-2013)
Launcher: Apex
Dock Samsung orig. Car Dock für Sii
Speaker conected to AUX: Stereo headphone and a active Mini speaker with Battery
Am I missing a setting somewere? Could something be messed up in my Phonesettings? Is it just not working on that ROM?
This is driving me crazy. Please help!

I have actually heard that this build just didn't have the drivers but the newest ones do now...I'm just too lazy to flash a new one haha
Hmmmm... Well... Any answers that may help me?
Just flash the newest ROM version.
I've got the Nightly from TODAY.
Hmm. Well then I don't know.
Analog USB Audio works in CM10 for North American phones.
But last I checked (a few weeks ago), it was not yet working for 10.1.
AFAIK, it has never worked for CM10 or CM10.1 for the I9100.
For the best quality audio (bluetooth, analog & digital), AOSP based ROM's are seriously lacking when compared with TW Samsung based ROM's.
I applaud CyanogenMOD & AOKP's efforts to bring us a streamlined ROM. But so far, audio quality doesn't seem to be a priority for them.
grrrrr
I recently bought an iBolt dock and love listening to podcasts/pandora on my commute. I'm patiently waiting for dock audio on a 4.2.1 rom. I really like the improvements on it, but I'm stuck on 4.1.2 'cause of this one thing. i could use the headphone out, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the iBolt dock.

I downgraded to a stable ICS and now dock audio is working again. Also my problems with Voice-Apps like AIVC, S-Voice and others I tested is solved.
They all crashed when I had a BT-Audio-Device connected to the phone.
I'll try JB in a few months again and then hopefully Dock-Audio and BT matters are solved in JB.

Hi,
I really like to upgrade my N7100 to KitKat, but with every KK-ROM I've tried I wether had camera- and/or bluetooth-issues.
Sometime the camera takes some photos and then freezes, sometime I can make one call via bluetooth and the dialer freezes while making the second call.
Only a reboot solves these problems (or my "Restart Camera"-app) - but with this problems I really don't want to use KK-ROMs.
Does anybody has a recommendation for a KK-ROM, maybe in combination with a custom kernel?
I would really appreciate any help!
Best regards

Thanks for your reply - but as the title says I'm looking for KitKat-ROMs.
But all ROMs you mentioned are JellyBean (4.3) ROMs!
Is there any recommendation for a KK-ROM without camera/bluetooth-issues?
Otherwise I will have to wait for official Samsung 4.4.2-ROM like announced on the official Samsung-website:

AOSNP works for me
I installed the AOSNP rom from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2638434
Then gapps from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857
I used these files from the above link:
GApps Core 4.4.2
~20 MB-
Playstore-
Syncing apks and libs, etc.-
Google Camera 4.4.2
Automatically removes AOSP Camera/Gallery and adds Google Camera/Gallery
AOSP Calendar Sync 4.4.2
Adds syncing ability for AOSP Calendar (not in Core or Standard packages)
My wife has been using it for 6 days wit no camera or Bluetooth issues.
She uses Bluetooth Jaber about 5-6 hours a day.
Only complaint is battery drain, but maybe when the developer is back up he will be able to resolve it.
It's very fast and stable so far, if it wasn't she would definitely let me know.
Since I don't think KitKat has been officially released for Note 2 yet... I suspect there is non without issues. Best to wait until official version comes out for developers to play with (which should hopefully be within next 2 months).
Hi there everyone,
I know this is a nooby question - but I really need a ROM suggestion.
Currently I'm on an iteration of CM12 and it's absolutely awful - by that I mean, CM12 has fundamental flaws (namely Bluetooth) that STILL haven't been fixed since SGS1 days.
So I need to flash off this and get a ROM that actually works flawlessly and doesn't have any glitches.
This is all I need from the phone (NZ100 UK unlocked):
-Root access
-Can change music, when screen is off via volume rocker
-Some sort of audio tweaks - ie equivalent of Boeffla sound or voodoo sound would be great
-Preferably on lollipop
-Good battery life. Performance is less of an issue to me, as I use my phone mainly for browsing, Bluetooth connectivity and listening to music
That's about it!
Thanks!
Anyone out there?
I heard that AGNi kernel and slimkat are a great combination (though not lollipop). I personally couldn't get them to work, but you seem to be more knowledgeable than me, so you probably can. Liquidsmooth also looks very promising for a lollipop rom.
Hope I was of any help!

cool thanks for the suggestion!
After flashing CyanogenMod sound from the phone speakers are like its going to break , so distorted , vibrating , speaker side gets hot little ; any way to solve this. Please help............
Check CM12 Q&A thread. I don't have current info of this problem, but it sounds like the same audio problem that was in CM12 earlier this year. Basically the audio level is too loud so it crackles.

thanx for the reply but this problem still exists in carbon rom also ,, i flashed dolby audio and changed the speaker volume to stock the sound problem is reduced to some extent
Both those ROMs are using the same kernel so they probably share the same bugs. The audio problem is listed as a known bug in the 1st post in the Carbon thread. It also looks like the guy doing the porting has stopped working on it so I really don't know why you're wasting your time on it.
Thangs let's wait for the stable release of cm12
