Lately my phone has been needing charging a lot more often.
Also its getting hot even when not charging. I rooted the phone and removed apps months ago. I have done nothing different for over a month. I do not use the internet and don't realy have any programs running in the back ground. Can some one give me a little help or a link as to why this is happening just in the last week or so? I have done a factory reset.

Sounds like you need a new battery.

I think i may of bricked my phone. After experiencing problems with my phone running PA v3.50 with Kernel version 3.0.31 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297117 the phone has become completely unresponsive even after a full charge. I believe this is not a hardware issue as these problems never arose while using it on stock 4.2.2.
EDIT: I've always flashed with the appropriate Rom, so maybe this is a kernel issue(?). I've had the rom for 2 weeks now and it was flawless until a couple days ago. Since then it has gotten slower and slower, generally becoming more unresponsive and laggy until it ran out of battery (while taking photos and filming for the Colour Run ). Now it just does not turn on at all. Any thoughts on whats happening and how i go about fixing it?
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Remove the battery for a few minutes. Put it back in. Let it on the charger and try to turn it on later (half hour or so)

Try omapflash, it doesn't require the device to be turned on/have the battery in.
Hello everyone. As of the past 2 days my note 2 has been super laggy with crap battery.. It is stock rooted and it has been doing it since I downloaded an app to speed up and slow down my cpu (not to overclock or underclock) but I messed around with a few settings and didn't see any performance enhancements so I uninstalled it. I was thinking maybe it left it on the setting I put it on when I deleted it off my phone but theres no way cause its neither fast nor saving battery. I have gone through all my accounts that sync ie: face book and google and unsynced them. Wifi is on for not even 1/3rd of the day and gps is off. My screen brightness is all the way up, but even a month ago I was going all day with 30% left at 9pm (taking off charger @ 7am). Now im taking it off at 7am and battery % is @ like 45% by 10am. Help me please. I could fully reset phone and have a back up (nandroid I think it is?) but id rather not have to seeming how I don't have a nandroid. I do have titanium backup tho. Memory is about half full on both sd and internal btw. Ive been switching through setting for 2 days now trying to fix but I cannot so im turning to the brains of smart phones....YOU GUYS! Please help. Thanks

Btw I read an article the other day about the newer note 2's(the first ones that came out) and it read that a lot of them shipped with bad chips and that there was an app to download that would run your cpu and memory all the way up to encourage the chip to malfunction to see if it was messed up. I DID NOT download this app, only read about it. I purchased my baby about 3-4 months after it came to market. just adding a bit of info incase this helps someone diagnose this problem. Any one else experiencing this?

if I flash a fresh rom what all would I loose? Anything? its weird that once I installed that cpu control that it started acting up then after I uninstalled it. I didn't even reboot when I changed the setting in the app so I don't think it should have even been applied. if all else fails I have insurance ill unroot and take into sprint to service. Ima give it a day or two and keeping fooling with settings. Maybe wipe everything then restore from titanium. Thank you.
I also failed to mention that the laggyness is on and off. I can awake screen and it take me 30 seconds to get to my text message inbox. Other times itl zip right to it. it just does it at randem times. Its killing me knowing that it might be trashed and if it is I do regret rooting my phone cause this is all too coincidental its doing this 2 weeks after root.

Ok I will. One more question if I go to setting>factory data reset and reset it while rooted what will it do? Will it just send me back to unrooted stock or do I have to unroot and then do a factory reset? I've also heard (sprint told me) that every couple of months you must take the battery out of your phone to let it "rest". Now I've taken my battery out, I think, never cause Ive had it wrapped up in the Defender Otterbox and im sure as everyone knows its quite a ***** to get off. I know that would not fix lagyness, but maybe battery life...?

As of right now I took my battery out and let it rest for 5min and it seems to have done the trick guys. Thanks for the responses.

I just got the phone. I have probably had it 2 weeks. It doesn't happen alot but every once in a while the phone seems to be getting clogged up. To the point where I couldn't manipulate the phone at all. I would have to wait a few minutes for the phone to catch up. I'm not running very many apps when it happens. I've had 3 different apps going and listen to music and it hasn't happened. Then other times I can be running one app and it starts to lag. It doesn't seem to have any kind of pattern. I was going to just deal with it as it only happens every one in a while. But today it froze so bad the phone restarted it's self. What app was I running when this happened? Feebly I was reading a news article. Hardly a process intensive app.
So my question is. Do you guys think I should get a new phone? Or I was thinking a factory reset could fix this?

If you are within your exchange time period, I would definitely go ahead and swap it out. If you are outside of that then I wouldn't because you will probably get a refurb if you do a warranty exchange through Verizon. The main question is, How time do you have left before you cant exchange it in the store....
Mine doesn't stutter at all even after running a ton of apps when I first got the phone. I read another thread just a few minutes ago that mentioned if you have any stutter or slow downs return it immediately. The original poster mentioned it was a night and day difference when he exchanged it.
Something I found odd with this phone. Is that it has the download Booster. Last I heard Verizon was taking that out of there phones.
Plugged my pixel 6 in to charge and at approximately 1am it rebooted and when I woke up around 8am it asked me for my pin instead of fingerprint to unlock it.. anyone ever experienced this.. I am on lastest software android 13.. thanks
system UI could have crashed? maybe? this happens from time to time. gotta love android lol (and i do)
Kinda what I was thinking . First time in a couple months that I've had the phone . Should I be worried ?

I'd only worry if it happened to me on a regular basis.
This happens to me basically every night while on the Pixel Stand (Gen 1) while I'm asleep. I honestly have no idea what's causing it. This is my second P6P and they both did the same thing. I am rooted so I guess it could be related to that.
I just wanted to add my experience here because I was actually going to create a thread about this but didn't want to get yelled at about NOT SEARCHING before I posted.
