[Q] Capacitive Buttons Will Not Stay on After 4.3 Update - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

My Note II is completely stock. I like having the capacitive buttons always on when the phone is on. I never had a problem before the 4.3 update, but now they randomly go off even tough I have the "always on" setting checked in system settings>my device>Display>Touch key light duration. They will stay on for a while and then go off. I go back into settings uncheck "always on" then check it again and they do come back on. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem and if there is a fix for this?

Anyone having problems adjusting brightness in Mango?

Upgraded to Mango beta a few days ago, and i noticed that the phone wasn't letting me turn auto adjust on power on anymore. I thought it was just a problem with beta, and decided to wait until the official update came around. Now I have the official update installed, and i still can't turn on auto brightness adjust.
Basically when i go to the setting, it's on medium, and when i turn it on, then press back. It shows medium again in the grayed out summary of settings. When i go back into brightness again, auto adjust is turned off. Tried a number of different things and it just wont stay on. Anyone having this problem too?

[Q] Variety of strange screen issues occuring

Apologies if this has been addressed before, but I searched and couldn't find something exactly like this...
Randomly one of 3 screen issues seems to be occuring on a daily basis:
1) Auto-Rotate stops working. Cannot get screen to rotate without reset (Yes, I've made sure auto-rotate is on in settings)
2) Screen will not Auto-Off. Even if I change settings to 15 secs, screen will not turn itself off. I have to manually turn it off. And, if I receive a text or any kind of notification it will light up again and stay on indefinitely.
3) Screen will not turn back on when trying to wake up device. Hitting the home button and power button both have no effect. Although the LED is usually blinking, and it seems the phone is still on.
For all 3 of the above issues, manually pulling out the battery and reseting the phone that way seems to always work. But, this is an annoying process to have to go through on a daily basis.
Also, I've noticed that these 3 symptoms don't occur simultaneously. For example, yesterday it wouldn't auto-off, but rotation would still work.
Not running any custom ROMs either

[Q] CM 10.1.3 Always on Capacitive button lights?

Is there anyway to have the capacitive back and menu buttons always be lit up? Touchwiz would allow you to do this but I recently upgraded to Cyanogenmod and this is bugging me like crazy. It only allows you to turn it off or have it turn on and off intermittently. I have seen plenty of threads on how to disable the backlight or the buttons completely but is there a way to just enable the backlight always on like in TW?
On 10.2.nightly: Settings / Buttons / Backlight ... Slider all the way to right is "Don't turn off"".
Betcha your battery goes south fast.

[Q] omnirom button backlights are always on or off

I installed omni rom on my note 8.0 n5110 and everything works perfectly except that the up and back buttons are always on, or always off. By default they are always on (whether being used or not) and to turn them off you need to go to Settings -> Advanced settings -> Screen to turn them off by disabling them (unless, of course, you enable them again, in which case they are always on).
How is it possible to make these button's lights behave as intended; namely they are off unless you touch them, in which case they turn on and when you release them with your finger they turn off?
Thanks!
Same problem here, thanks for the tip how to turn them off permanently.

[Q] How to disable backlight when it's not needed?

During the day, here is no need for the screen to be lit. But looks like it turns backlight on when turn on...
Tried to use minimum light instead of automatic, but still turns on the backlight :\
Any ideas?
Bump, was about to ask the same question.
In Android 5.0.1 you can turn off the backlight on motions.
Can not turn it off when you receive notifications but me I see no huge issue.
There is a app .... think somebody posted it in Android Wear forum that gives you more control if you want it darker.

To lock your screen press the side button 3 times consecutively. Your screen will stay on without the backlight (monochrome look) but won't turn on when u look at or touch the screen. You can activate the screen with 1 click. Or unlock it again with 3 clicks. Handy for saving battery life I just found it by messing about and was looking everywhere on forums.
