OK there are so many threads about cases it's really hard to find what your looking for and I know there are many people like myself who like buying accessories but want to make sure they're getting something good. So this thread is to vote for your favorite cases.
Rules: just post your favorite case name and you can post more than one as long as it's from different categories. For example one from hard case and one from tpu but not 2 tpus. Also don't ask questions on what's the best case here or how good is that case here. There are plenty of threads for that. But if you'd like to leave a quick review and pic with your vote go ahead. I'll try to update this every significant amount of votes that are added so it'll be easy to find in the op.
Now start voting. (I searched and didn't find a thread like this here so I hope this is ok)

I have personally tried the Official Google Bumper and the Spigen Hybrid Neo. I hated both of them. They are just TOO BIG.
The third case I tried was the Ringke Slim and I love it. Hardly noticeable and feels very secure. If you like small cases I would recommend.

Ok I'll update op in a bit. Also I' like that you guys are leaving what section it goes under keep doing that.
And after I'm done setting up op if anyone has any suggestions on how to organize it better please say so. I want this to be easy for everyone to read and so you can see the most popular cases.
Would you guys like it organized by price as well as type? Since more expensive ones will most likely be better. We could do from 0-10 dollars 11-20 21-30 and 31- and up.
You guys can decide but I'll try to make it as convenient as possible

Ballistic SG Maxx (at first I hated this thing because wireless charging doesn't work through it, but maybe I'm unlucky- first day of having it and two concrete drops later I think this one's a keeper)
Add me to the ballistic maxx list. Wish I'd had it sooner (already have a chip on corner of screen from before I got the case-seatbelt caught and launched my phone like a slingshot) I've destroyed, accidentally, supposedly rugged phones before, just due to nature of my old job. The ballistic is great. Wish it were also waterproof, but until one comes out, maxx is awesome.

cruzerlite
Absolutely love my two cruzerlite bugdroid cases. Have a clear and black one for my white n5. Perfect balance between protection, feel, look, and slimness. My clear case quickly became discolored though. However cruzerlite immidiatly sent me a black one that still looks great.
Can't honestly say which would be best with my limited hands on experience using only a couple cases. I guess this is only really useful for those who have used multiple similar cases to compare.
Ballistic Jewel clear tpu case. Has not discolored like other clear tpu, grippy yet smooth, fantastic button feedback, great drop protection, dead sexy.

I don't have a top 3 but i've owned the trident aegis and neo hybrid and sent them both back cos of problems with the buttons.
currently I have the seidio active with kickstand which is ok but I find it slippy in the hand. I also have a cheap tpu case which is pretty good but got the acase super legerra this morning which is superb. good grip, not much bulk, buttons work great and fits perfectly and only £10!
Samsung orginal is the best one
poor build quality but best suitet

Which do you want?
ultra low-profile but barely protects it
low-profile with a bit of protection
larger but good protection
bulky but really good protection
You have to choose from these. All but #4 can look pretty darned nice. Anything in #4 tends to look big but not necessarily ugly.
If you want #1, then go look at the Rock Quicksand case. There are others like this as well.
If you want #2, go to eBay and look up any TPU case or check out CruserLite's cases (the Persona cases are better than their Androidified cases for the Galaxy S3).
If you want #3, there are a number of options such as the Otterbox Commuter, Incipio Silicrylic, and several others.
If you want #4, there's the Otterbox Defender and I think a few more (that I'm not familiar with).
Those would be the cases I'd suggest you start looking at. Then go find alternatives and learn more about what's out there. There is a TON of info in the Accessories forum!
The snap on cases from ebay are stellar
UAG Urban Armor for medium protection. The case looks great & it offers great 4 corner protection with a good enough lip in the front.
I have the real tree camo otterbox defender and love it
Cant find a link, but i use a Belkin Gel skin (tpu) i got at target for about $20 and its DEFINITELY holding up. NUMEROUS drops later

Got the Rock case and I like it cause of the feel and grip it adds to my phone so I might not drop it, but it doesn't do much for protection lol. I just wanted a case to give feeling to my phone instead of plasticy. I've dropped it once with the case about 3 feet onto tile and I didn't get a scratch so it does some good.

+1 on the cruiserlite androidified, bought on amazon and they actually sent me 2. Luckily, the only 2 times I HAVE dropped it, in the same day no less, it worked wonderfully. Pretty light, minimal, and just the right amount of protection. Ever bounce a rollerblade wheel off the ground? Pretty similar.

Hey. I currently have a cheap 2$ case from Ebay. The problem with it, that it doesnt have a good feeling, I mean its not comfortable to hold the phone, and I dont like how it feels. I am looking to buy a case from the hiqh quality brands : Otterbox, Cae Mate, Incipio, SGP... I realy cant decide which one of them to buy. As I mentioned before, I want the case to have a good feeling in the hand and it has to be comfortable to hold...
Thanks..
I just ordered a Ringke SLIM Case, after doing a lot of research on cases that pay attention to the "feel". I haven't received it yet, so all I have to go on is the videos on YouTube. Runner up was the Incipio Feather, which was actually a little cheaper. I'm hoping this is a case where you pay a little extra to get a better quality product. We'll see.
It is a hugely subjective feeling. Does the Nexus feel big in your hand? Can you handle a case that will add a bit of thickness to it? If you want protection, then all of the slim cases like the Feather and SLIM won't function in that way. If you want a relative slimness, with good in-hand feel, and protection, I'd recommend the Seidio Surface or the Active (my favorite), with the Kickstand, since the design allows for it to hide while you hold it.
I like the incipio case that verizon sells and it fits with the extended battery too.
^^^ Agreed. The Incipio Silicrylic is an awesome case with great protection. Its a tad loose on the back of my gsm gnex but it fits great none the less. And they have a wide array of colors

i have the Ringke SLIM Case and i think its ok. but the protection sucks. one drop and the phone will probably get messed up pretty bad. i only have it because it came with my phone when i bought it used. but if you like a case that is really slim and doesn't add much bulk and feels nice. i think its a good case. i really miss the cruzerlite cases. they are good protection and they have good grip. i would give up my case for one of those in a heart beat. lol
Edit: here is some pics if it helps.
I've got one of those cheapo s-shape TPU cases and it feels great in the hand.
Thanks for the comments, guys. I think I am gonna get the SGP case. I watched some reviews on Youtube and It looks great..

Any bumper cases out there for this phone? Really looking for a case which doesn't mess up the look of the phone
I have a black cruzerlite case that I got from amazon. It adds almost no bulk to the phone, and looks great! It's grippy, but doesn't stick to your pocket like a silicone case. I paid $13, with shipping.
U can have the diztronic one. It gives the phone a classy look indeed

i've been really happy with the Incipio silicrylic hybrid case.
it's pretty rugged and i've had numerous drops without a scratch or anything. everything's covered and the buttons are easy to push.
i had the casemate hybrid before. that one was pretty good too but i didn't care for how the lip around the screen was grey.
I am looking for a case that feels just like the device. Same material, feel etc.
I'm not sure what to search or browse for as I don't know the name of materials or finish.
Any cases available that match the Nexus 5?
Cheers.

Thanks, but I actually have this case already. Its a little too slippery as compared to the finish of the device. Will it soften up with time?
I know there can be case like the one Im asking about, as I bought an ebay case for the iphone 3G when it came out. It was a hard two piece case with a soft touch finnish like the Nexus 5. Im just not finding anything so I thought Id ask the masses.
Diztronic case is probably the closest you will get

The LG quick cover is said to have a similar feeling but is expensive and may not be the form factor you desire.
Maybe these LG Hardshell cases will also be similar but I can't find much info yet

I've tried most cases available and settled for the Diztronic.
The Spigen Neo Hybrid, Slim Armor, Ultra Hybrid and Ringke Fusion alter the natural contours of the phone by giving it a boxy shape. They're bulky, uncomfortable to hold and like you said, are slippery.
The Spigen Ultra Fit feels closest to the Nexus 5 finish but has sharp edges which makes it uncomfortable to hold. Plus, it provides very little protection.
The Diztronic maintains the natural shape of the device which makes for a pleasant experience while using the phone. The matte finish feels quite nice as well. It is very lightweight and doesn't bulk up the phone.
They're on the 2nd revision of the case which addressed all anomalies. They ship to Canada. Use code "repeatbuyer" for 10% off.
No, I don't work for them If your'e even on Commercial Drive you can stop by to check out mine if that would help you make your decision
I'm using Spigen neo hybrid. I think it gives me the feel of original nexus 5's back.

Diztronic case is great. Not bulky, but still protective & still has that soft matte feel.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Spigen ultra thin snap on case in matte black. Feels almost like the back of the nexus 5. Soft rubbery matte plastic
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I bought the spigen clear case which is a very good case however as it is clear it always looks dirty and gathers muck inside the case which you can see as it is clear.
I also love the feel of the n5 without the case. Is there a case out there for me that still offers good protection and feel?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
No. All cases surround the sides and back of the device, and alter the way the device feels in the hand.
That being said, I had the ringke slim case on my nexus 5, and now I have the spigen slim armor case. Both cases added bulk to the device, and I stuck with the slim armor because it has a soft touch back and offers more protection.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
From what I heard, the Tech21 Impact case is fairly slim and is protective. However, it also has a clear back so you might run into the same problem. I also use the spigen slim armor. and I agree what the person above me said. It does add bulk, however I like the way it feels because its a soft rubber. It seems like it's fairly protective too.
I very like to fell my phone like brand new every time, so cannot use without case.
I bought an official case and very happy with it.
Maybe, someone suggest a nice shockproof case like UAG case for galaxy s4?
why dont buy spigen neo hyprid.

the diztronic tpu case is honestly one of the best cases. Feels REALLY CLOSE to the original feel of the phone and as long as your not someone dropping your phone from 5 feet on a regular basis I don't see any problems with it. I had a diztronic on my s3 and it fell off the top of our car while I was driving down the road and not a scratch on the thing (luckily it landed on the back and not the screen)
I bought Diztronic voyeur case and cant never be happier
Spigen Neo Hybrid is a great case
