I bought S4 i9192 mini but I have a problem establishing a connection via bluetooth with my car's system. The connection is sychronising but after a minute the connection gets lost. My previous samsung W worked perfectly. Is it possible that a new phones could not be compatible? The car's version is 4.23R. Do I have to download a program to assist the connection? Please help me.

Hello,
in a few weeks I'll get my new Ford car - equipped with the built-in bluetooth handsfree device. I tried to connect my MDA 3 to this device at several Ford dealers but didn't get any connection.
The MDA finds a "Ford Audio" but can't establish a connection.
Who has any ideas ?
Thanks in advance - Dieter
I have the same problem with a new mondeo...
Everything works with an old nokia 6630 (with a small nokia application I can browse the phonebook as well) but I'm not able to pair the bluetooth ford audio system with my HTC TyTN...
Any ideas?
try using a newer bluetooth stack.
What is a bluetooth 'stack' ?
And how do I change to a newer one?

As far as I know, you'll need to update the Radio portion of your device's ROM based software (the basic software that drives the device).
The best bet in your case I believe would be to just grab a new complete update for your device by searching the wiki for downloads for your device. Download a newer official ROM, install it and try again.
You will lose all saved data on the device though so back it up>
Wiki is here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
Did upgrading the bluetooth stack fix this connectivity issue to Ford Audio Bluetooth Handsfree devices?
Same problem. I've tried to upgrade bluetooth stack: my BA finds "Ford Audio" but doesn't connect. Please give us some help

after correct pairing (code 0000), press "Phone" on the caraudio system and then "Menu". After that press left or right joypad on the caraudio to set the "Active Phone". It will search and your phone will be correctly paired.
The last paired phone will be automatically active when you turn on the caraudio system next time.
In some cases will also help to install on the device the JETware application... just try.
Problem Solved!
Thank you dark horse, followed your advice and it worked just fine. I can now connect via bluetooh in my ford.

Hi there!
Is anyone here the owner of a current mercedes c class W/S/C204 facelift? Im trying to connect my One X via bluetooth to the cars multimedia system, but the car wont accept it. The pairing process fails all the time. The One X lists the car in its paired partners, but the car wont. Im on stock firmware 1.26.401.2. Maybe its a problem between the different bluetooth versions? And yeah i know, its not yet officially supported by mercedes, but shouldnt the standard bluetooth connection work anyway? Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

Hm i dont think it has, at least not the audio 20 soundsystem...but i dont know. My old Desire HD with Android 2.3.5 on the other side worked flawlessy, but it was officially supported bei mercedes...did it not use A2DP then?
I have the older W204 (2008) and have found the BT to be finnicky. I haven't tried pairing my 1X yet though. Think I'll go give it a shot and report back.

Ok, did it no problem. Here's what I did -
Went to telephone mode, went to phone list, update - options - external authorization, went into the Bluetooth menu on the phone, clicked MB Bluetooth, clicked yes on MB screen, typed in 0000, did the same on the phone, pairing successful.
Hope this helps The external authorization bit is what always makes it work. Sometimes the car doesn't find the phone correctly if you try to auth from the car but when you force the car to accept the phone (external auth) it tends to work just fine.
Hello,
i have a problem with my Galaxy S4 Mini (i9195) when i use bluetooth in a car similar enviroment.
The first call is provided well.
After the first call waiting maybe 5 min, my phone gets very slow and a secondary call will not be shown in my handy until i disable/get out of range of my bluetooth device.
I have latest firmware (XXUBMJ7) rooted and tried kernel_v1/2.
What information can i provide?
Thanks for your help
I am sorry.
Problem is solved by using the bluetooth dongle in an other usb slot.
Has someone experienced this? How to solve..need help. thanks :crying:
Is the Bluetooth device compatible? S4's are Bluetooth 4.0 and I don't think they are backwards compatible.

Incorrect. Bluetooth is backwards compatible.
Wunderle, you'll need to post a lot more info than that if you want help troubleshooting. E.g., what kind device(s) are you trying to connect, do they connect to other Bluetooth devices, what steps have you tried, what errors are you getting...

I have simalar problem I have tmobile s4 stock rooted 4.2.2 bluetooth connects to some devices like aluratek istream, 2007 toyota handfree,
will not connect to 2013-2014 acura handfree systems will not connect to magellan roadmate 9250t-lmb which is a 2013 product. s4 can see item for pairing but when access code pops up to connect it immediately fails and reprompts to try again meaning when code entered on s4 it resets back to bluetooth pair list. is there a way to patch other bluetooth files or change. tested with s2 and it connects to everything.
bumpin

Enyone suceeded in enabling Internet via Bluetooth? (enable BT theathering on phone, pairing HU with phone and enabling HU to use phone Internet connection - that way no need for USB modem in HU if you have internet on phone and you take your phone with you in car as we do most of the time).
I was trying to enable that with my LG G3 phone but it doesn't work.
(I'm using Malaysk ROM, KGL unit type)
Any hints appreciated.
Hi, I just switched on "hotspot" in my Moto G menu then switched on WiFi on Headunit then they just paired up, hope this helps.

Try this app (there is a trial version to test with):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bluedunx
I haven't tested that app myself as I use a USB 3G dongle.

Not working
I searched around and it looks like bug in Android 4.4.4 preventing BT theathering to work (in fact it works but apps cannot use that connection).
Anyone found workaround?
