Hello,
I am looking to see if anyone has gotten SELinux to go to permissive from Enforcing? I tried a couple of apps but it seems that the stock Samsung 4.3 even with Knox disabled is not letting me set it to permissive permanently. The only way I can get it to work is in a terminal and "setenforce 0" but it is active only for that session. I am running Linux on the tablet but because of this SELinux policy it blocks some advanced features such as being able to use KDE, Gnome, or Mate desktop because the needed communications on the dbus are stopped.
Any help would be great!
Thanks
I am running a rooted Samsung Note 10.1 2014 WiFi 32GB with US 4.3 MK1 firmware version
Have you flashed the SE permissive kernel that got posted? Also how did you get Linux up ad running
Sent from my SM-P600 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Didn't know a new kernel was out. I may try that at some point once I am a little braver
Thank you
Here is a link to a thread, near the bottom I posted how I got it going. There are still some script errors and I am trying to talk with developer. I used the Android on Linux or Complete Linux Installer app. Because of the enforcing mode it blocks the more advanced installs, but I do have 2 LXDE versions going Ubuntu Small 13.10 and 13.04

Try to use Wanam Xposed to set permissive. In note 10.1 I didn't test yet, but in SGS4 works like a charm!
I've used wanam xposed in Note 10.1 (P601) to set official status and get OTA updates

I just tried this now. The information in the About screen still shows the SELinux as Enforcing after activating the module in the framework, rebooting, changing the option in Wanam Xposed and rebooting again twice just to make sure i didn't miss anything.
Hey guys,
I love the new rom and it is doing fine with Build Version: 6.0.1
However, if I flash a version above 6.0.1 my mobile data stops working - even though it is turned on in the settings. I can call on my phone but mobile network doesn't work anymore. There is no LTE/4G/H/E symbol above the signal indicator.
I already tried flashing a new radio (M8974A-2.0.50.2.28 - downgrade from 2.29) but there was no change. I own a Nexus 5 (2013), no special kernel installed.
Any suggestions?
Kind regards

Why not upgrade to 6.0.3 and lose the Xposed to test?

Yesterday I've tried a clean install of 6.0.3 with a previous full wipe and the same problem occurred. No xposed framework was installed, nor gapps. Wifi worked. I could make calls but no mobile data.
Might it be a carrier or Sim card problem (I've got a sim from Germany Drillisch - O2)?
I tried another SIM card from my work phone in my Nexus 5 (also O2 Network carrier) after flashing 6.0.3 and mobile data works. If I switch back to my regular Sim card, mobile data stops working again.
This is beyond my understanding. Is there a possible solution so my regular Sim card will work aswell?
Kind regards
Set your APN to match your carrier.

It worked! Man, huge thank you. You're awesome!!! :good:
I have been trying to set my Nexus 7 2013(flo) to permissive from enforcing, but I haven't been able to successfully keep it permanently. The reason for this is that I want viper4android to work, but from what I remember viper requires permissive. I am just coming back to a vanilla device and there's a lot I have missed. Last nexus device I used was the Galaxy Nexus.
What I am running on the tablet and required info to know:
RR-N-v5.8.5-20170925-flo-final (Resurrection Remix OS)
Viper4android was installed via magisk
Also alienoid mod was installed to apparently help viper to work
MusicFX was uninstalled via Titanium Backup
Any help appreciated and if there's another thread with the same problem I have, feel free to direct me to it!

Use arise 2.94 aroma installer for viper, u will find the download link at the XDA arise thread (post 4).
If u use magisk u will mostly have to stay permissive for viper.
Use the magisk permissive script module. Simply google magisk permissive, u will find the XDA download link.
U can use latest SuperSU for root instead, if you use SuperSU
your chances to run viper with selinux enforced are pretty good.
Is there any way to pass safetynet on 3.5 havoc gsi based on android Q? I am on kvt 2.5 and the gsi is perfectly working! 9/10 its a great experience but is there a way to fix safetynet? Yes I have magisk and I tried editing fingerprint to motoz2play but that didn't work!

I don't know cause I use Vodafone. My cellular is working just fine and I had a problem of random reboots to fix that, use L-Speed module and set the profile to balanced or performance mode. Sometimes you cannot unlock after the phone has been idle for too long and this fixes everything.

I fixed it by installing this file (cant upload it) {provide email id ill share it} can confirm volte and vowfi works without any problem. and for your ques i can pass basic integrity but cts profile fails just curious why do you need to pass safteynet?
Though VoLTE and Wifi calling working on stock ROM I struggled so far to get in enabled in Lineage.
According to this guide we need some/one *.mbn file/s, alter some system props and switch se linux to permissive.
Done and working in Lineage OS 16 on Xperia X:
On most recent stock ROM enable VoLTE and Wifi Calling and wait for provider to provision
On Lineage OS 16 with Magisk in place and working install
- voenabler
- selinux_permissive
reboot
You may alter APN settings to ip4/ipv6 instead of ip4 only if supported by your provider also.
Remember this is a workaround and just for reference.
Maybe there should be something in the future to automate provisioning like on stock rom.
Also there's WIP on Ubuntu Touch regarding VoLTE.
