It's kernel related. You have to find kernel that support higher overclock.

There is various kernels in the Original development thread that support overclock.
Make sure yo read the OP and figure out which is best for you and your phone.

Could be a few issues.
You could be on an old version of JellyBam that does not use the 3.4 kernel. You also could have downloaded the wrong kernel from the page linked. If you could give us your ROM version that would help.

Kernels are flashed in recovery, not Odin. The problem may be the recent display changes in KT's kernel. You may want to check his thread for an earlier build (pre 4/19) before the display commits were added.

correct. flash his 4/11 release.
and if you ever find yourself in a bootloop from flashing the wrong kernel, just flash the correct kernel in recovery. wipe cache/dalvik, fix permissions and reboot. good to go without having to restore or reset anything.
also, i'd stick with ROMs in this forum that are supported by the dev.

So i have decided to try some roms. I started with alliance rom. Downloaded rom customiser selected wipe options and the phone just stucks in samsung logo. Also tried to flash straight from philz but nothing changed. Tried zoot script, nothing changed, stucked to samsung logo for ever. I have restored with dmc3 and flashed philz recovery again and the su apps. So i continue with another rom. I have downloaded paranoid android rom put it on sd, factory reseted then tried to install paranoid. It tried to install when it throwed a set_perm some files changed status 7 error. I am very confused, it seems that my phone has a mechanism that it does not allow me to flash any rom!!! Please help!!!!

I see...then u hv no choice but stick with samsung stock rom. Isn't the bad choice if you stick with samsung stock rom since it give you more superior in terms of battery life...beutiful and useful widget...useful spen festures . My personal opinion, pure vanila rom or any other aokp just for the devices less of power or lower spec. Note2 having good hardware spec which is give you buttery smooth and good responsive performance on par with cm10 based rom even loaded with sammy stock rom. A lot of mods, themes and simplistic control and xposed also provide huge customization feature on stock sammy rom. Cm 10,aokp and aosp is very good base rom as well but just too boring for myself.

Hi, I know this is a bit of a noob question, but I want to flash a new kernel, and I don't know which kernels are safe to flash. I'm running CM 10.1 Wild for the Night with CWM 6.0.3.3 . I have a EL29 modem and the current kernel is something like 3.0.64-CM-q31f128d. As to why I want to flash a new kernel it's because I have an audio problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2374061) and other people with the same problem, but the GT-I9100 version of the s2, have reported it fixed by flashing the dorimanx kernel. However, I can't flash that one because it's only for the GT-I9100 right? So my question is which kernel can I flash?
I believe the only current AOSP kernels are the standard CM one (and its derivatives) and the LightningZap kernel. The CM one is the standard one in most of the AOSP ROMS.

Yeah I believe the cyanogenmod one is what I currently have. Is it possible to flash the LightningZap kernel using Mobile Odin while keeping my current Cyanogenmod 10.1 setup? Thanks for the quick reply!
As long as there is a tar for it, yes. If they have a zip, you can flash from your current custom recovery. Either way nothing will change but kernel and recovery.

Actually they have been some issues with some of the AOSP roms. example I tried to flash Devil on SlimKat a week back and it got stuck on a boot loop. As per the kernel dev it was due to each rom using different initramfs.

This is the support thread for CM11 on the AT&T Galaxy S3. It's a major work in progress. It may cause all the things in the disclaimer to happen, or steal your girlfriend while you are busy flashing ROMs.
Known issues:
Recording video can sometimes result in strange things happening. This includes random reboots or discoloration of the video stream.
Install instructions:
1. Install TWRP Recovery for "d2att".
2. Download your correct; updated bootloader/modem from here, and here.
3. Get the nightly build here.
4. Reboot into recovery and install both.
d2lte is all inclusive. It works with all of the phones listed here.
Google Apps are not included in this ROM. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them. (Or just follow the link below.)
I prefer this.
Follow the changelog!

For someone coming from CM10 or earlier, is there a special bootloader that one needs to flash prior to flashing CM11?
Has there been an "M" release for d2lte?

It will still work with CWM, but TWRP was recently updated to support some more aspects of KitKat, and it's what I use personally, and since I can confirm it works, I wanted to list it as my recommended recovery.
Any compatible kernels with the nightlies? I tried KT747 (3/9/14) and BMS (3/5/14) and they don't seem to work as the com.phone.application stops responding after a reboot from installing the kernel. In particular, I want to know why BMS doesn't work with CM11 because it's based on the same CM kernel and they even have the same Linux kernel (3.4.x) so what went wrong? What makes BMS kernel incompatible with the CM11 ROM? I'm currently using a d2lte build on an SGH-i747M.

Not sure if you installed the Google Dialer, but that will cause issues with the latest CM builds, so it may not be kernel related but I'm guessing without more info. Check your System/add-on directory and see if you have a Google dialer entry. If yes, in the FAQ it walks you through the steps to take to clear out the dialer, which is basically wipe system, install ROM, install gapps, wipe caches, good to go.

There's only the com.android. dialer entry that I've found so far. I've read the procedure that you suggested but I think that's the same thing as installing a new ROM and pushing out the GApps package again which might've included the Google dialer. AFAIK, CM intertwined the Dialer app with the Phone one so removing the Dialer one might not seem ideal..

To confirm it's in the add on folder, not the system folder. Meaning you shouldn't have a googledialer file in the add on folder.
