Hello there,
So I upgraded my GT-N7100 from cm10.2 nightly to paranoid Android 3.6.
I had an amazing battery life with the cm but once I switched, 25 percent of the battery is only enough for a single hour, that's 4 hours from 100-0.
I also noticed that my free ram has been decreased by 150 mb (with cm=1.300 / with PA=1.150/1.200 gb)
I am afraid to debloat on my own because I might remove a necessary item that would ruin my whole rom.
PS: I searched for a good 30 mins about the battery problem and haven't found the perfect solution for a newbie like me.
P.PS: I have unlimited 3g which is running 24/7, but I had great battery life with the cm.
With Regards,
OverDub

Seems that there is no answer, I restored back to cm 10.2 because the charge was going faster than a v12 challenger.

Did u change your charging current or anything? That may be causing the problem. Also, once switching to a ROM, don't touch it and it'll charge faster. Happened to me too.
Smack that Thanks button if I helped!

I had this problem too when I was on a custom TW based rom on 4.2.1. The OS was recognizing the charge current as USB instead of AC. Tried changing the cables etc. Had no affect. Had to let the developer know about this.
Also keep in mind THIS exact same problem happens with the stock samsung cable as well. I had to use my Milo portable chargers cable to cure this issue.

Hey Everyone,
I've had this weird bug on my Samsung Epic 4g Touch.
What happens is when im using my phone the screen will suddenly start to flicker and then id lose my service and then my phone would just shut down. After it shuts down if I try to reboot it, it will reboot and then it will shut down again almost immediately after using it. This bug isnt action specific and occurs at really strange times, I can get it to stop by waiting about 20 minutes or plugging it into a charger.H owever this ONLY HAPPENS WHEN IM RUNNING ON BATTERY it will not happen when im plugged into a charger. I know this isnt ROM specific because it has happened on multiple roms :/. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I'd replace the battery and/or check the phone without sd card.

Defective phone if it happens on multiple ROMs....take it back if the battery change doesn't work. You may have a refurbished phone that isn't up to par.

But I know it isn't refurbished....I got it the day it came out..what I might just do is wait for another nice android to come out and then trade this one in.
If I'm going to return this one, do I have to restore stock firmware?

Do you use battery monitor widget or use a battery besides the stock battery? I had this problem. I use three batteries all with different mah and I would use battery monitor widget to calibrate them. Once I have all my profiles set up by entering each batteries supposedly mah I would have this same problem. I was finally able to fix it a few days ago (after a few months of torture) by using the estimated value on the calibration screen in battery monitor widget. For some reason the app would estimate my batteries at a higher level or lower level than the battery claims. Hope that helps in any way..

Hello I don't know if I can find some help here but I'm currently running tweaked Rom on my GNII and have since then noticed that it charges very slow. I've got two different samsung chargers and they both do the same thing. While it's plugged in it seems to still lose juice. It charged for over 6 hrs and only made it to 45% has anyone encountered this issue?? Thank you.

You have tweaked voltage control of your rom. Which tweak tool you've used? Check if there any reset to default option available. If not, reflash rom with all three wipes. Everything will be fine then.

I haven't noticed any type of voltage control on the other tweaked Rom. Thing is i used my brothers charger at his house and it charged ridiculously fast. Even now I've had it plugged into the computer at school and it's been at 59% for last 4 hrs. I know it's not the same voltage but it just hasn't moved at all.

Try installing app call Galaxy Charging Current in the Playstore
It has free and paid apps .. just get the free app to test your charger current to your phone
Only pay attention to the value on Maximum .. You should be getting at least 1000mAH to 1800mAH ..
normally I would get 1200-1500 mAH .. You will be very lucky to get 1700-1800mAH
Samsung are well known for the bad usb cable data which often cause slow charging ..
Bad cable will only flow 500mAH too your phone and that pretty much like charging through PC which will take forever to full charging

Sometimes just replacing the samsung usb cable data will fix the problem .. Most of the time the culprit is the usb cable data
Another best option is to use Blackberry usb cable data.. their cables are good and more durable somehow compare to samsung cable
You're most likely using the charging cable of another phone. Use the note ii cable that came with the box. I used my S2 cable and the voltage is only around 780. Thenote ii cable got to 1800, big different.

So im very new to XDA and just signed up a couple days ago. I have been searching for a answer to my problem and have found very similar topics but none as exact as mine. I apologize if this is not in the right thread or if it has already been answered with a solution in some way.
The problem I am having is my phone is very slow at charging. I usually go to bed around 930-10 and place my phone on the charger and wake back up at 530am. My phone will be between 15-30%, going to bed and when I wake up it will only be anywhere from 60-90%. When I first bought the phone it would charge within a couple of hours. The phone was only 4 months old. I have already had best buy swap the phone, charger, and battery. I have also tried different outlets, on surge protectors and off surge protectors. I have tried different roms with different kernels. I have tried battery monitors and widgets. As well as turning on airplane mode and turning off the phone, with not much luck.
Im running out of ideas and still no solution. Please help.

I had exact same problem several times with combination of cleanrom + perseus kernel.
The solution was reflash perseus several times or stay with stock kernel.
I havent tried persus kernel yet. The problem all started on note 2 stock rom and kernel. I tried different roms and kernels in a attempt to see if it was with stock rom or stock kernel.
Looking up persus though, it looks alot better. I could possibly give it a try. Also I failed to mention that the best buy replacement charger is very suspect and I ordered an official samsung note 2 charger on ebay (hope its legit) in hopes that it could be a charger issue. It shipped yesterday. Ill repost if its a fix or not.

You can try this here to see what charging current your phone is getting while it's on the charger!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abmantis.galaxychargingcurrent.free
I'm getting 1698 mAh from my charger not using stock cable! Fyi
With stock cable, same charger, I'll get 1300 mAh output!
But with Perseus kernel then you'll get 1800 mAh max output charge! If you wanting a higher charging input.
Try to find a thicker cable should give you more output. I read it somewhere and tried it and it worked.

Forget about the 1968 all is good there.
AC wall charge should be at 900 & above , 900 & below are USB to PC charge values so you have a problem.
Best bet , Install different kernel

Now is that 900 and above for the "now" or max and avg? Cause like I said my now is above 900. I definitely will try a new kernel if you think it will help. Also like I mentioned before I thought it might of been the charger, then best buy sent me another samsung charger, but not a note 2 charger. It looks real sketchy. While on AC wall max should be at 900 +......Same with Avg.
Its normal for values to vary, Sometimes when charging my Max reads 1800 yet Avg displays 1200.....its all over the place on some charges.
Don't let the numbers haunt you....been there done that , If device fully charges within 3.5 Hr your fine

Thanks alot for this. I recently switched rom and kernel with the Jedi x 15 rom and I am using that kernel. Dont know if I still need to apply this mod or not? I will say however that the phone did complete a full charge but at about 6hrs charging. I know that because I had "battery calibration" app installed and had it set to beep at 100% charge. The beep woke me up at aroubd 530 and I went to bed aroubd 11.
I also tracked the package for this new chsrger. It is said to be delievered today. So I hope that its a chsrger related issue. I will fill you guys in later today when it arrives.

Hey xda team. I know this title seems familiar but I havent found my problem in other threads so here we go.
My n7105 is on stock 4.1.2 and I flashed the latest perseus kernel. I changed current charging rate to 1900 and tested tha stats with galaxy charging current. Everything was fine. I always use same cable and same outlet and status is always AC. But all the sudden the phone just charges with 400 and of course it takes way longer. Status still is AC and not USB. I made a nandroid backup before I flashed the perseus kernel and went back to my original kernel, but the problem is still there. So Im little confused if there is something wrong with hardware or so.
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried a different lead

I think it might be the battery or the charging cable.

It's a tricky scenario. ..
I posted my own observation below yours ...
I get drainage while charging at a low battery% especially while using phone at same time .. This shouldn't be it's like low battery charge% is overriding the charging capabilities.
A phone should gain % while charging regardless of how you consume power least I'd think.
I wanna test this discharge/ charge theory while my phones at 80-90%.
