[Q] Syncing with Exchange Calendar - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Anybody else had problems with syncing a Nexus 7 (KitKat) with outlook exchange calendar?
I'm migrating from a Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi 5 with Gingerbread and with the setup for a corporate exchange account there was an option to sync the calendar for various previous periods ( 2 weeks to 6 months, including the whole calendar). With KitKat this option is not apparent and syncing appears to only sync up to a month into the past - a backward step compared to Gingerbread. I've managed to add previous events by importing a ics file using Business Calendar Pro. However the syncing stops working having worked for a short while.

Exchange calendar showing double appointments

Hi all,
I've seen multiple cases where Desire starts to show every appointment in double, even though there is only one appointment on outlook side. We are syncing directly to Exchange 2003, so no google mail or direct pc sync.
Problem comes randomly and is fixed by deleting exchange account, deleting cache from Calendar + Calendar storage and then adding exchange account back.
Any idea what could be the cause of this problem?
Also problems with recurring calendar entries
I have a monthly recurring event in my Outlook agenda, every 4th working day of the month I get a reminder to do some administration.
After using Exchange ActiveSync (I only sync over the air), I get this entry on a daily basis. I already deleted and recreated it on the PC and it was only correct after the first sync. After that, I have the daily entry again.
I really like the phone, but MS does a better job in some specific areas (mostly for the business users).

[Q] Why cant stock calendar sync with exchange account?

Does anyone knows?
Tks

It does. My Exchange calendar syncs with my stock Nexus calendar just fine.
If you're getting the error where your calendar keeps crashing, go into apps and delete all calendar data and have it resync again. This resolved my crashing calendar issue.
Thanks bro... my problem is that my calendar does not even show as available... only google's.
Kinda frustrated...

This may seem obvious but make sure your Exchange account on your phone is set to sync the calendar.
You can also try removing your Exchange account and re-adding it to your phone.
Do you know for sure that your Exchange server/administrator allows syncing calendar with mobile phones?
Hi... all that you said i tried before. No sucess.
And yes it does allow as with touchdown it works.
Damn...

didn't want to start a new thread, so i'm resurrecting this one.
I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus (running the latest release stock 4.0.4 IMM76I) and i'm having mixed results with ICS Stock calendar sycn. i've read (and posted similar feedback) on the Google forums discussing this "bug"
my setup: i have 3 exchange accounts - work (2010), family (Office365/2010) and personal (2007) - set to push email, contacts and calendar. contacts and mail works flawlessly for all three accounts. calendar sync works flawlessly for family and personal accounts. the calendar on the work account is where i'm having problems. it syncs some event and consistently excludes the several single and recurring events. I’m a program manager and rely HEAVILY on my calendar to manage my various assigned projects.
i've followed all the suggestions: clear data from calendar storage, delete and re-add the account, don't use the stock calendar widget when setting up the account (that worked for about 1 week) but still no luck with the work calendar. if i open one of the excluded events via the outlook client, make a minor change (e.g., reminder time) and then save the event, it will sync to phone, then after that a duplicate entry appears, then a triplicate entry, then it quadruples. Basically, it adds the same entry on the phone for each sync/refresh. on my outlook calendar on the pc it shows only 1 event. if i add a "test event" via the outlook client/phone, it will sync to the phone/client as a single entry, but at the next refresh, the phone entries follow the same pattern as above.
i installed a trial version of Touchdown and the work calendar syncs perfectly no issues at all. i also have a lumia 900 (wife won it at work and didn't want it) and it syncs without issue. i have a Nexus One and HTC Sensation and they sync fine, granted both are using Gingerbread. IT has told me there are no issues with my account; the fact that Touchdown and the Lumia work seems to supports my account is ok. [FONT=&quot]
since i need my calendar for work, i purchased Moxier Mail (and use it just for calendar sync) because it's closest to the ICS stock layout. it's very frustrating that i have to cobble together software to get basic functionality to work on my GNex. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance to anyone who offers suggestions.

Exchange Contacts will not sync

I am trying to get my exchange contacts to sync.
I have tried flashing to a new Rom (currently on 4.1 AOKP Build 1).
A different companies exchange server.
Turning off Push syncing and set it to 5 minutes.
E-mail and calendar are syncing fine.
Basically the contacts have never sycned since upgrading to 4.1
Any help would be awesome.
If you need anymore info please let me know what

[Q] Calendar Synchronisation

Hi,
I've just bought a new Samsung Note II GT-N7100 (Android version 4.1) and I am having issues when it comes to synchronise my Ms Outlook Calendar.
1. The application that I am using from the device is the S Planner - which is already installed on the device;
2. Application that I am using on my laptop Ms Office 2007;
3. Exchange Server backend 2003.
When I first synchronised the device with the calendar seemed to be working fine. But the issue is when I have a calendar appointment and one of my delegates changes the time or the duration of the appointment, the Samsung does not reflect the changes that were made.
Now I have another issue the calendar is not displaying new appointments both if entered from my laptop either entered from my device. Is like I am seeing an old snap-shot of my calendar.
I tried to made various troubleshooting (Deleted outlook profile from the device and re-configured, Tried to install 3rd Party Applications) but problem still persists.
Your help is much appreciated, since I do not know where to place my head at this stage.

Sounds like you simply imported the calendar and didn't set it to synchronize.
If you simply import it, it will literally take a snap-shot of your calendar, put it into the new calendar and do absolutely nothing else (it won't sync).
I've got both my school calendar and google calendar synced to my Note II (Also using S-Planner) and they work fine.
First of all thanks for the reply.....
from the sync options, I've set it up as peak and off peak to Push but to no avail....
do you have any more ideas, what this issue can be!
thanks once again
