[Q] N7100 Colombia 4.3 Update - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
So I would like to ask something..
I bought a Galaxy Gear during Holidays but the 4.3 android update hasn't arrived to my carrier yet.. In fact, it is not available in Colombia right now.
so, my question is, if I update using an international official ROM like the United States one or Argentina.. or the one that was leaked, is my warranty void? what happens to the knox flag? will it change to 01? what could happen if I try to install the official 4.3 when it arrives to Colombia?
is it true that if I void KNOX warranty, I would not be able to update to 4.4 or later in the next update? how can i make the galaxy gear fully functional in my phone?
I know they're a lot of questions, but I can't fully understand and I really want to use my Galaxy Gear right now. I have a N7100 model and the 4.1.2. update
Thx

Well i would say you are one lucky guy you still have android 4.1.2 on your phone.
On your firmware you dont have KNOX , once you install 4.3 you have KNOX.
in your place i would read more and find out how to put a custom ROM on your note.
and you could have your Android 4.3/gear watch support without having KNOX.

[Q]Rooted Galaxy Note 2 LTE (N7105)

I have 3 questions on my phone. Its a Rooted Galaxy note 2 LTE (N7105) on Region TGY (HongKong). Im planning to unroot it and install the stock ROM. And i saw a 4.3 update on region NEE (Finland) and on TGY (Hongkong) is still on 4.1.2.
1. Can i flash it using a different region on my note 2?
2. If i successfully flash it on other region, does it will brick my note 2?
3. Should i wait the official 4.3 updated on my Region which is TGY (Hongkong)?
P.S. I'll just attach the screenshot if you need to view it to clarify more.

There shld be no problem. But if I may advised... u shld wait a lil more if u dunno yet clearly abt the new rom which comes with a knox void warranty.
Once u upgrade, u r not able to flash back to earlier version, otherwise. .. u shall stuck on 4.1.2 for the rest of ur phone life.
Relax mate. This is the 1st release for our N7105 device.

[Q] SM-P607T vs. SM SM-P605 FW Compatability

Hi,
I just got the T-Mobile SM-P607T a couple of days ago. It came pre-loaded with KK.
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: P607TUVUANE2
If you search the Sammie site for compatible firmwares, it feeds back the following:
Model Country/Carrier Date Version PDA CSC Kies
SM-P607T USA (T-Mobile) 2014 May 4.4.2 P607TUVUANE2 P607TTMBANE2
SM-P607T USA (T-Mobile) 2014 May 4.4.2 P607TUVUANDA P607TTMBANDA
Nothing else. No older FW's for this device are reflected / found.
I was wondering if anyone might know what (if any) functional differences there are between the 607T and the 605.
Reason: I am considering trying to downgrade this Tab to Official Sammie Jellybean (in hopes of not tripping Knox) so that I can try to Root (again, attempting to preserve Knox 0x0). Would the P605 be a viable solution?
Once on JB, I would likely attempt the method I used to inject root during the 4.4.2 upgrade on my Note-3 which PRESERVED Knox 0x0.
Thoughts?
If you have a new KK bootloader then you can't downgrade the firmware to JB... It will just sit on the Samsung logo getting hotter and hotter...

Thanks, UltraMag.
This question driving this post is now moot, with GeoHot's recently released Root which worked quite nicely.

You may return to 4.4.2 or 4.3?

Hello to all the community, I have a question, I need to know if it is possible to downgrade from a room with Android 4.4.4 to 4.4.2 or 4.3 with .. Basically I installed the next room:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541860
The rom works perfectly, but I wonder if it is possible to downgrade?
Sorry for my English ..
A rooted version of the 4.4.2 or 4.3 rom can be used to downgrade. ..if using a touchwiz based build. ..but the bootloader cannot be downgraded if you flashed or updated to official 4.3 or 4.4.
Knox flag will be tripped and any warranty will be voided. ..g

Flashing with different region firmware.

Hi guys, I have Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P605. My one is most likely a Malaysian variant. Baseband version: P605XXUCOE1. I still haven't got the lollipop update on this variant. Now kinda planning to flash it with the Finland version. So I have some questions here before I do...
1. Will there be any sort of problem because of different baseband/ region?
2. Will I have to face any issue with knox or official OTA updates in future?
Thanks in advance.= :fingers-crossed:
I can only answer half of your questions, as my device is rooted, so i don't get official updates anyway. Flashing a different region firmware never caused me any troubles, not on my 10.1, or my Galaxy Note4, so it won't affect the functionality of your device.
As for Knox, it will trip Knox as you are flashing a kernel not for the same region...
It may just bootloop. Make sure you have a stock rom to go back to, mind you this may not work if the bootloader is upgraded to a newer version, say KK to L or L to MM....

Ya after first flash I went through bootloop, after the second one it was fine. Now enjoying Lollipop on my tablet.

Glad to know man, btw I am having only 1 problem that is it's not showing my operator's name on lock screen or in connection settings, instead it's showing the 5 digit number code of my operator. Thats not a major issue I guess, must be some conflict with regions.
