[Q] Do you know what's dumb?

A: Having a posting requirement for new users. I understand it cuts down on the "how do i root my phone" posts, but it seems just as bad to require 10 posts in a non-dev section before allowing new users to post in the dev section.
My real issue is that yelp does on work on the virtuous g2 rom. I noticed other people were having the same issue, and I would like to reply to them and let others know that this is a problem. But I have to get 10 posts first. Awesome.

I am having the same problem with Yelp. Whenever I open Yelp using Virtuous 0.9 it force closes upon opening the application.

If your looking for an answer to your problem with yelp FC's on the Virtuous 0.9.0, I seriously doubt that it will get much attention or a solution posting under a thread titled "[Q] Do you know what's dumb?" You might try posting in the Virtuous thread.

its pretty dumb that you wasted a thread on this, actually. haha. they want members to actively participate. 10 posts is not alot at all.

there are TONS of ways to participate on XDA to get 10 posts. share your screenshot or some wallpapers - there's 2. Go check out the Q&A section - surely there's something you can contribute to in there.
I realize it's frustrating, but the point isn't to annoy and frustrate new users - it's to prevent new users from annoying and frustrating people who are contributing to the community in general. It's also to encourage new people to participate and contribute in ways other than bug reporting/issue reporting. Not that bug/issue reporting isn't important, but if you come on here, report your bug, and then leave, the community gains nothing. If you join in some of the more community-building threads, the community gains a valuable member.

A: Thinking it's cool to post "how do I root my phone" in the dev section. Nuff said.
Anyway, yelp not working isn't something that belongs in the dev section and I'm sure they know they're not alone in that issue, they don't need you to clutter a thread with 'hey, me too!!'. I'm sure there will be a solution to the issue and in the meantime I'd just use the website.

You are not the BOSS of the developers to tell them what to do.
They do it for their past time and for Fun.
They have a life of their Own.
You could have also Politely requested the developers in the CM9 beta 9 general section thread by posting your problem there.
Why make a new thread just to Tell the developers what they should do.
You first posted rudely and also made a new thread just to ask a solution for you problem.
and i think that this thread should be in the Q&A section.

Hey all, I've been searching for a couple of months and all the links for joyos on the epic 4g touch are now dead and gone. If anyone has the file on their computer and wouldn't mind posting a link I would appreciate it, yes I know the rom is old, but after going through rom after rom after rom, Joyos has always stood out as my favorite

So where is this thread that you speak of that has dead links?
I see one thread for the E4GT requesting a port that I can't seem to find that took place. I see the Epic 4G video from QbKing.. all kinds of other variants.. Maybe I'm over looking it..

I know we had it on the Shift, they never updated past Gingerbread

I get that the thread you linked is a request to bring it to the Touch (and that's the one I could find) but the way your OP reads is as if it was already done and now the links are dead..
So at this point it seems as if it's still a request to make it happen.
You could reach out to @VeNuM and ask him if he still has his previous work.
Or @locoboi187 and see if they still have it.. Looks like it was shared on IRC only and no dev thread was made here for it..

To turn data on go to System settings - Mobile Networks - Access Point Names - and click the dot for sprint.
Just to let you know this is a extremely alpha build. I don't think the camera works... might have some force closes. Not a daily driver.
It's located on the second to last page. It downloads something. Maybe reach out to barnacles(the mentioned dev) or _dan(poster) and see what exactly LewaAlphav0.01.zip is
Edit: after Googling a bit, I found that LewaOS is similar to JoyOS. I have yet to find anything downloadable for JoyOS, but I did find some porting guides, so it can be done

[Q] Andoid 4.4 Kitkat

Hello guys, I have finally flashed this amazing 4.4 KitKat rom on my s4, thanks to albinoman887 ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520972 . I have problems with emoji support though. I only see several emoji's.
Is there any way to fix this ??

WIFI on 4.4 issues
Hi Guys,
I just flashed the 4.4 Kitkat for my GS4 from [ROM] CyanogenMod 11.0 | Android 4.4 KitKat [UNOFFICIAL] [Nov-11]. Everything work well except for my wifi. It finds my wifi but it keeps on failing to connect to it. Any suggestions ?

Guys 4.4 is really new and really buggy. I wouldn't even recommend it as a daily driver as of now. I suggest you go back to 4.3 and edit until 4.4 had been worked on a bit more

I searched a a lot about this but couldnt find an answer anywhere. This is the reason I created the topic about this.
Otaku, I know mate but Im just trying some stuff out. I dont like to stop at 1 rom and use it for a long time, it's just way too boring.

I'm gonna go ahad and call shenanigans on your claim that you searched a lot.
The main thread for CM11 int eh development forum has roughly 9 bagillion posts about emoji issues with the ROM. Any search for "CM11 emoji" would have shown you countless posts from that thread alone on this topic.

Thank you for the answer to my question. I will search for it in the main thread, I also needed some posts to get the permission in order to post in android development board ....

Hi. I'm currently using redmi note 10, and I was wondering if there is a custom rom like iOS for my Android phone? If not then why??
I mean I have installed "Pixel Experience" on my phone but why there isn't an "iOS Experience". I know there are many folks who'd love something like that.
I've tried searching for it and found none, there are some iOS launchers on play Store but they're filled with bugs and ads.

If you want something and it doesn't exists, you can start developing it from scratch.
Remember that Android is open source, the sky is the limit!

There is a goophone u cn purchase it at wish.com. Im not sure ure trolling or something. Secondly wrong device forum and even if ure at the right forum u would get i think the same reply.
