There should be a directory for all of these wiki pages. With all this info in one place, more unregistered users will end up registering just to be able to access this stuff.

but i really don't like the idea of registering to contributing ... but it's necessary due to the times of bots and other ^^stuff

The "Android 2.2 (Froyo) Stock ROMs" section on the Wiki needs to be updated to reflect the 3.4.2 T-Mobile ROM

IP67 it fake in Thailand don't work.

Dumb question: Asking here since the development forum isnt open to me yet.
I have CM7 beta5.1 but there's been alot of force close of android.media process. I want to reflash 5.1 but the custom recovery does not recognize the SD card. Is there a suggestion on that account which may be of use?
Else it may be included

Maybe an update for the Nordic ROM 2.2.2 as well

Forum reorganization thoughts

not trying to be mean or anything and probly will get bashed, but I had a thought about how to organize the forums so the questons asked would get an answer faster and with more accurate information.
what if we were to have a question and answer part in each of the roms instead of asking in the genereal q and a
you know sort of like each dev would be able to see all the problems that their rom is currently having.
and it would also help the people running those roms see all the current questions.
we should also have a section for the people who are on stock roms unrooted
I personally think it would help in diagnosing issues if they arrise.

I agree on a rom q and a but inside the development thread. Have rom thread ie bonsai and then a bonsai q and a thread with the most repeated q and a's on the op. This is more work for the devs and entirely up to them. It will help out in organization instead of cluttering a development thread with the same question. have the main thread for dl link, changelog, install instructions, possibly bug reports (some have a dedicated page for this) and that's it.

To do that, it would need to be reorganized such that roms would each get their own subforum. Then, they could have a "get the new version here" thread, a "general info" thread, and then all the random individual threads. If you have seen how mod forums are organized at civfanatics, you know what I'm talking about.
Lately, I've been thinking we need a "Guides and FAQs" section. Make everyone post guides being worked on in a "works in progress" subforum and then a mod can move completed guides to the main forum. We might be able to get a nice little knowledge base here if a few people wanted to chip in and write out a lot of what we have learned.

srsly? we cant even get the one overworked mod to move much around as it is.

Which is why I haven't previously suggested the idea.
But, seriously, we need a couple more good mods who want to help build a community here. I know how tough it is. I've been around a lot of forums, both good and bad. It can be hard to find people who are both willing to do the job and mature enough to do it well.

[Q] Synergy Developers Please Help.

I had flashed the new Synergy Rom RC1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144447) which I admired and like it very much, since I like the Sence Ui. I have a small request from this rom developers, please I need support for RTL (Right To Left) languages support like Arabic and Hebrew languages, I successfully patched this method, (http://blog.devasque.com/?page_id=11) which successfully added the arabic fonts and now I can send sms in arabic and the RTL is correct there, what is missing is the RTL support for Gmail messages (Subjects+Message Detail) and the Browser, only opera browser can support RTL at this time, There is a source-code that the same blog above referred to and this code is used to fix the RTL issue in libwebcore.so this is a link to it (https://github.com/Y6b/android_external_webkit/commit/8637f8f6b8f78aef69a1a1919c9df54358513706). What my request is can any one of the developers look at the code in the link and the ability to include it in the source-code of synergy so it can support Arabic and Hebrew without problem. by the way cyanogen mode supports these languages perfectly, but I dont like cyanogen I like synergy and hope the developers can do something about it.

Then maybe he should get 10 posts first. The whole point of that is so new members can get to know other parts and people on the forum first.

This is my point. Read this thread from the beginning, your first reply was asking why this question wasn't posted on the ROM thread in the Development section of the forum. I was explaining the reason. If he has a legitimate question and can't ask it where it needs to be asked, why not put it in the Q&A area? You do understand what the "Q" part of Q&A stands for, right? The OP is new to the forum and has a question. I feel its valid that this is brought up here since he can't address the issue in any other location.

I would also suggesting pming..
Gimme a couple a days to come up with a new sig that is cool.

Thanks Everybody, I really appreciate your understanding

With the method that was used to accomplish the language removal (aamikam optimization) it would be difficult to go back in and replace all the language packs in all the apk. If you want the language package back I would ask aamikam for the unoptimized version. If he feels Luke it he will give it to you.

i put the simiomns 3.5 on my wifes wfs and the only issue is the bluetooth dont work but i installed the very same rom on a friends and i keep getting network errors and it is very glitchy. please help with some good stable roms that work on metro pcs. thank you

Screw that idea. Wrong section = no answer until it's in the right one.

MetroPCS... you have the following three choices that I know of:
Stock (the basic RUU [with or without update(s)]) -> Go to Football's thread
I made a lil stockish rom (think its over on AndroidForums)
Henry09 has HenseMod that works with MetroPCS
Other than those, other roms may work, but I wouldn't count on them being a daily driver.. SMS/MMS or something will give you difficulty sooner or later.
I will also say it is my personal recommendation to NOT install ctmd with HenseMod.. repartitioning has screwed up so many MetroPCS's data; that I choose not to go into a rant about it (yet I have supported them the best I can).
That's it man... all I've seen. Yep Simon's 3.5 is an evolution of JMZ's 3.5, and it is the ONLY 3.5 I've seen on the CDMA side.. there may be/probably will be bugs as both of those devs (as well as I) are with VM USA; plus its a port.
Ok that's all I got.. pack it up and move it to general.

Any fix for SMS sending/recieving failure on CM9/10 derivatives?

I wont post this in General thread coz almost all of the LU6200 specifics arent resolved there or with either poor hints.
I have tried a variety of PAC-JB/CNA/PA 4.1.x roms from develoid and all of them have one common issue i-e. not working SMS service. (even after putting the smsc# in *#*#4636#*#* menu). GSM calling works fine.
So if any of you knows a work around for this kindly come up. I am talking about the only roms I have tried with baseband 8660/9200 since its the same baseband provided with Bell_v20e rom by wflsl. Specifically SangROM's PAC and PA on develoid. It will be a day or two before I move to another phone and give up on the 10hr backup with barely a gsm support at all.
I humbly request not to move this thread to general/q&a section coz hardly any devs read threads there I might get a skim or two here in Dev catagory.
