Clean up - HTC One X

Any body know a way to clean up the Evita without losing root? I see on my file manager files that shouldn't be deleted. Like supercid, and twrp files. What's a safe way to do this?

Question may apply to many different phones. But before you ask more questions, this is not the forum for your phone. HTC one XL forum is the one you need in the future !

Sorry hoffs. I get the forums mixed up at times. The att rogers and Telstra and the plain one x forums. My bad!

To get the rom.zip (esprimg) run the ruu and open command prompt, click services, and right click on ARUWizard.exe and open file location, and move the file (rom.zip) to your desktop and rename it "esprimg.zip" and put it on the root of your sd, and flash in bootloader

Out of luck then. No computer. Ha. Oh well. Weird how I can root a phone and put so many completely different kinds of phones on it without a computer. But I can't do a little update for a phone without one.

Uninstall fame and delete saved data from sd card. Reinstall, use different name, and that should work.

Do u know where the saved data is on the memory card? Looked everywhere but can't find anything

There isn't a folder labled homrun battle 3d? If not try and find a way to create a different profile as they may store your saved data on their servers

SGS 3 Video Gallery

Dont know if this has been posted before, but when I had the HOX I wanted this and couldnt get it
It's the .Apk of the video gallery that lets you have previews of the videos on your phone before playing
Dont know if it will work but I though I would give you a chance to try.
Unable to install it.

have you tried pushing it to system apps?
If not, maybe someone could try and make a cwm flashable version?
I did now, and still no luck not I'm afraid.
Moved it to system/app, changed permissions and a did a reboot.

Frequently Used Apps

Hi,
Does anyone know which file in the all apps list controls the frequent apps tab in the main menu or does this just come under Sense?
The list of apps on this menu tab never seem to update so am looking to do a reset/clear data, cache etc. I have the usual suspects in there like mail, messages, internet but mirror & voice recorder? Never opened...
Thanks.

Anyone have any input/info at all on the frequent tab in the main menu?
Do yours update/refresh with recently opened apps etc.?

No-one know?!

Might be Htc Sense? If I recall right , launcher and app drawer are the same app? Not 100% sure though, but worth trying

Cleared cache/data on Sense, Settings, Settings Storage to no avail.
Surprised no-one has brought this up previously - presume not many ppl use the frequent menu/tab...

And what if you wipe cache in CWM?

Sorry - CWM?

In layman terms wipe cache in recovery.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Can you advise how to do that?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
just boot the device to recovery by first turning it off, then press volume down key and the power button at the same time. Then highlight recovery in bootloader by moving with volume keys, and select it using the power button. When you are in recovery just select the wipe cache partition option
I hope this helped.

Many thanks, haven't come across the term CWM before, only bootloader.
Ended up hard resetting due to another issue I wanted to try & resolve also. Not really sure what happened before to prevent the frequent tab updating but it works now.

CWM = ClockworkMod (recovery)

Depending on where you live you should be getting the JB update soon/ may already have access to it which includes project butter which oretty much gets rid of lag. I have always noticed some lag on ics no matter if I'm using the stock or custom rom.

Go to the option 2 of the first post, follow what he says and do the command it tells you to then at the bottom of option 2 it explains what the numbers mean and what to do. You can then download a RUU file to your computer from the links provided but read the instructions in option 2 and on the RUU file itself.
OR
Seeing as though you are on the stock ROM you can just go to settings>about phone>check for update.
If it says no update found just check back later it may take some time though. You wont lose your data this way and it is much safer and easier.
You need to be on stock recovery for both methods.
Just a warning: Make sure your phone doesn't lose USB connection to the computer when running the RUU.
