Take time to read and learn from what is offered in development threads.
As XDA is not a support site, users are expected to make the above determination based on usage, trial, and testing.

Hey.. I've lurked around the site for a few months now and feel I have a decent grasp on flashing Roms. I'm currently running CM 7.2, but was curious if there are any ICS Roms here that are as stable?
What do the masses here recommend? I've briefly ran LC's ICS Rom, but had a couple issues with rebooting while writing emails so I went back to CM 7.
Thanks

If all I ever do is search and read, how am I ever going to get 10 posts so I can constructively contribute to testing alpha and beta Roms for my android devices?

Much like yourself I'd been using BackIce for a few months and loved it;
but now I've changed to aospX and it is a worthy replacement.
I tried IceCold and it wasn't for me, just not fluid or light enough.
Definately try aospX. It's stable and mature being so close to aosp.

I noticed. But that doesn't give you the right to bend the rules. Use your creativity.
If you want to help, help answering user questions instead of creating a thread that has been closed all too often. And that way you can get your ten posts.

I'm basically looking for the ARHD of TouchWiz. I'm seeing a lot of stock-BASED roms, with a bunch of mods and themes I don't want. I'm looking for souped up stock Jelly Bean. Any ideas?
These threads are frowned upon... This is a resource bible that has almost all of the stock roms with a write up for the popular ones.

Take a look at mt3g's thread and pick one. If you don't like it, you can always flash another.
The problem with threads like this is that all of the developers work hard on their ROMs, and to say one is best would not only be disrespectful to the other developers, it would be little more than a personal opinion. There is no "best" ROM, there's only a ROM that has the features you like (where someone else may like the features of another ROM better).

You are on CM and want to change to AOSP?
Check the other thousand best rom threads. Or, make the decision yourself using trial and error or the resource bible.
I use PACman by PapaSmurf as my daily driver and I am very pleased.
+Cool story, bro!
+When I use the "Thanks" button, I use it not only to thank, but also to agree or "+1" and give props, give a thumbs up, and even laugh.
The one that you like....

I second the pacman rom as far as an aosp rom. It has all the features from all of the big roms, paranoid android, aokp and cyanogenmod. It is, of course, a matter of preference though,, read the op of all the most recently updated roms and decided what you think will be best for you and meet your needs. They all differ in features and performance.
OK, I used to flash ROMs like it was my job about 1.5 years ago on my Galaxy Vibrant. When I got the SGS3, I decided that I was just going to root it and leave ONE ROM on it and leave it alone. I have been running AKOP Milestone-1 for the longest time.
Now it's time to flash something new and STABLE. I am looking for a ROM without any fuss and not a lot of bugs. AKOP Milestone-1 has bugs and I am finally tired of dealing them. Not have NFC has become annoying now that a lot of my friends have a NFC capable device.
As a community, what would you recommend for me to use as a ROM? What is the best kernel to use as well for this phone?
Thank you in advance....
This is a disguised best ROM thread. There are literally hundreds of threads just like this one. It's always an opinion. The only correct answer is: try them yourself, through your own trial and error, find the one that works for you.
If you don't want to update all the time, AOSP/AOKP is not for you. I will tell you that much.
The best, fully functional, most stable rooted ROM for any phone is a stock rooted unmodified ROM running the stock kernel. If you're looking for tweaks, add-ons, etc., you have to choose for yourself. Absolutely no user on here can advise you on that.

If you don't want to update often, then go with a touchwiz based rom. They work great, have nice mods, and are super stable.
I've used Wicked and Stockorama. Both great roms to me and have never let me down.

Users are expected to read the threads to make their own determination as to what is "best" for them.
Red, study, ask questions in the appropriate rom thread, and appropriate of use PM's is suggested.
General Discussion posts clog threads and get cloudy with arguments.
Any roms for fl24..ics..using stock new to this so sorry

Best thing to do is go though Rom threads and decide which will benefit you the most. Aosp roms are more customizable but the wimax really sucks. TW is more stable and everything works on it. They have instructions on how to install the roms. Read the stickey threads in the questions forum and development forums. They're chock full of tons of information for new people.
