I found an OmniRom for Defy build on mfunz forum !!!
Thought it could be interesting so I'm sharing the developers gdrive mirror here.
NOTICE: This thread is unofficial and will stop as soon as the official thread in dev section starts. stay tuned.

Rom runs quite good and I took it for daily usage.
Issues maybe same as in quarx build
the only thing I recognized is that button backlight doesn't seem to work.
if button brightness does't work try fix permissions in recovery
fixed in 20140114 build (hopefully)
--> it's multilanguage
--> requires twrp 2.6.3.0

-full wipe ( aroma wiper is recommended )

-reboot ( maybe you need to reboot again after first boot because of not directly working data and wifi connection )

-wipe cache and dalvik
-install rom
-flash superuser.zip
-reboot

Very nice Rom. I downloaded from original thread before find yours. Will test it a little more, but it's working a little better than cm11. The soft keys problem is there. There's no bright for them, and the bugs seems are the same, but it's faster for me..

i changed launcher3 with nova launcher and set all animations to "as fast as hell". works good. i´m not the heavy user, but for me the rom works good at the moment. it's really worthy to give it a try :good:

you forgot to flash the superuser.zip. i didn't wiped dalvik and cache after flashing as far as i remember

try reinstall with aroma wiper using full wipe. my process was did full wipe via recovery plus full wipe with aroma wiper (incl. formatting system), flashed rom, gapps and supersu. and reboot. rebooted again because of no connection. works.

I came from mokee and flashed TJKV's safewipe.zip, Rom, core gapps, baseband for my country and supersu. Then wipe cache (may be isn't necessary this) then reboot. I don't have any problem with connections. Wi-Fi and mobile data working very well here. And Google account too..

The softkeys are working well. Just enter settings/display/brightness and there you can set up button brightnes.

Same delay, but some times sliding the finger to the proximity sensor make the phone wake a little fast.

Camera and focal both work great!!! Lte is working and what am I missing....graphics bugs aren't as bad either...when on browser page still flickers and everything but not as bad as the first release...gps is about as good as in can get...I don't use Bluetooth or dock audio so I can't offer my insight but so far so good on everything else

EVERYBODY TO GET SUPERUSER to work you need to go into about phone. Click on the build number on the bottom until you enable developer settings. Then go into developer settings and set root to work with apps and adb.

For what its worth I type su in terminal command just to make sure root is enabled....

Not sure if it's related to the graphic glitches mentioned in the OP, but fonts weird out in GOSMS when rotated to landscape. The fonts change to a larger, stretched version.

upon reboot I am stuck on splash screen, guess I installed an app that is screwin with stuff or something. Anyone else come across this?

Yes you need to do a data wipe after you install the rom but before you reboot.
Props to scott for getting this out so fast, unlike normal for me, I'm going to stay off the cutting edge for a bit and hang out in the stable CM10.1 world a bit longer (now that the working RIL blobs are back )

Installed this rom last night following the instructions and had no problems with the installation.
I've noticed a couple of things so far:
1 None of my applications that require root access can even though my mobile is rooted.
2 Somewhere in the process I lost the contacts widget from the fixed area at the bottom of the screen between the dialer widget and the apps widget. This may be something peculiar to my install. I can open contacts from the contacts widget but it won't "stick" to the area where it is missing from.
Looking very promising so far. Thanks for your efforts with this.

1. You need to enable root access for both adb and apps under Settings -> Developer Options for root to work
2. I haven't noticed such an error.Maybe you should wipe and install again....

1 Enabling root for adb and apps put this right.
2 Couldn't find an app called "contacts" only a widget but Google now call this app "People". Created shortcut for People and okay again. I must have deleted it by mistake along the way.

Sorry spanorg I am using your rom and haven't posted any comments. I am using your rom for everyday use and I can't fault it. I don't use Bluetooth or GPS admittedly but everything works perfectly for me and battery life is even better than it was on the stock rom and is fairly amazing for a smartphone these days.

I think there may still be a problem with the Bluetooth but as far as I know the GPS works. I will try to give the GPS a go tomorrow and report back.

cm10.1 PAC edition 05.2013 IS CM10.1... This Rom is CM10.2.
I'm also very interested in this rom, but bluetooth is absolutely essential to me, as is gps, so I can't use it on a daily basis. I'll try to install to test in the next days.

Now we have a fully working (?) cm11... the problem is that there are a lot of gapps packages and no one is "the final" one...
The point is, why we must release updated gapps every time google release new stuff... when there are other people that are already doing that?
The answer is: gapps packages for other phones break panorama on maguro
So I think that would be a good thing if I create a zip package with ONLY GOOGLE CAMERA for maguro. And i created it, picking the necessary files from dhacker29 (thanks!) 20131207 gapps.

If you get errors while flashing be sure to be on latest recovery... you can use this one: TWRP
Not all gapps packages include Google camera! (for example Nexus 5 Core gapps doesn't include it)
If you have chosen a gapps package that doesn't include it, you can download it from here and flash after gapps: Nexus 5 Google camera
If you need Face unlock feature download it from here and flash after gapps: Nexus 5 Face unlock
Fix package must be last to flash because some kernels include files that would overwrite the fixed ones
that's it. you will not have any more problems with sound search, panorama, face unlock, play store, ecc ecc... and all this stuff is compatible with ART.
most important thing: I didn't test all this really deep. I just tested with a limited types of configurations (didn't tested with pa gapps nor with cm gapps nor with different kernels ecc ecc), i only tested with PlayfulGod cm11, GApps Standard 4.4.1, mpokang kernel and ART... so please let me know if this works for you (and please test this with PA or CM gapps, also with ART)!

yeah i will, in fact i'm flashing Playfulgod's rom instead of the official CM11. The latter seems to lag every now and then on the app drawer and desktop

it's really strange because playfulgod should be EXACTLY the same of official cm11, except for screenshot fix that will be in official cm11 from 20131212 anyway, because they are the same rom i think that it is more kind to use playfulgod

I installed (after factory reset) in that order and now it is stuck at cyanogenmod logo. I will try without the kernel.

Anyone have any idea why someone wouldn't be able to send text messages? I just put cm11 on my buddy's gnex last night, he's telling me today he can receive but can't send. He's on at&t using the default APN, and hangouts. Hard for me to diagnose since I don't have his phone with me

i got this line before:

while installing greenify. i discovered that was caused by a bad restoring with ROM TOOLBOX app and i fixed it deleting greenify folder from /data/data and greenify apk from /data/app
can you please try to locate something like com.whatsapp* in /data/data and /data/app and delete it?
or maybe you can try to do a full wipe, unless other users can confirm that they got the same error...

Hello all,
There are many questions asked in the development thread of this respective roms(slimkat by xenon92 and cm11.0 by pawitp). I am creating this thread so that all unrelated to bugs topics can be discussed here.
eg: -how to flash the rom
- about not working apps
- about xposed etc etc.
If you have found a bug please report it with logcat in the dev thread :

Also if you don't know to logcat i will attach the logcat to the dev thread if you mention it here.
I will be adding detailed guide on flashing these ROM to reduce unwanted questions.

NOTE :
-Some apps will not work in these roms, the reason is that the respective developer has not made it compatible with 4.4.x.
- The rom is not faulty. The dev must compile it using latest sdk(sdk 19) to run on kitkat running phones like ours.

Detailed Guide and some facts
Detailed Guide to Flash CM11.0, Slimkat & Carbon rom :
MAIN STEP:
- First of, to flash both the ROMs we need to be on 4.2.2 firmware(4.2.2 bootloader). Flash the 4.2.2 stock firmware via odin and follow the below guide.
STEP 1:
* Download the ROM and gapps you want to flash and put it in either internal or external sdcard.(you can find them in Original thread which is in 1st post)
STEP 2:
* You need to flash SElinux compatible recovery.

* This is the same way you root.
- Download recovery.
- Select PDA in odin and select recovery.
- Hit start !
STEP 3:
* Press Vol up + Home + Power button(all at once) to go to the recovery.
* Now the Steps to flash the rom :
- Wipe cache partition.
- Wipe data/factory reset.
- Mounts and Storage--> format /system
- (back) advanced--> wipe dalvik cache.
- (back) Install zip from sdcard-->choose zip from sdcard(internal)/extsdcard. WHEREVER YOU HAVE PLACED THE ROM AND GAPPS.
- After flashing ROM flash gapps the same way.
- (back back) Reboot system now.

SlimKAt memory issue
In SlimKAT Rom
Out of 4 Gb .... only 1.3 gb is available...
plz tell where is rest of memory...also there is no app 2 sd support...
so plz atleast provide full 4gb...though 8 gb is grand internal memory...
P.S- I flashed slimkat rom on TW 4.2.2 stock... wiped all data and everything...
still got just 1.3gb out of 4 GB

Hello, This happens due to the kernel changes between stock and cm.
If you see in stock there is sdcard and extsdcard. In cm it is under emulated directory.
I also had this problem. I use the below solution
I always
-backup sdcard
-format /sdcard
-upgrade to 4.2.2
-flash cm
Wiping data doesn't always mean wiping internal memory. so you need to go to mounts and storage-->format /sdcard and see if it retains.
else,
you need to
-downgrade
-backup sdcard if you want
-format /sdcard
-upgrade
-flash rom.

I am on cm-11 20131214 . when i receive call i cant listen voice clearly due to low volume. I would like to know how to increase volume . I have already tried in setting -volume but it didnt work. even i cannot send any file from sd card with Bluetooth, it dosent show the Bluetooth option in Share Manu. thank you for nice rom.

I dont know weather it is bug or any problem. Gapps dont support the ART, but when i select switch from Delvik to ART it shows "unfortunately gapps stopped working." something like this . kindly give me the solution.

I am not facing this bug for sure, i have been attending calls from morning.
You can backup your apps and try clean installing the latest build(including format system).

hello, cm team is still working on ART to support priv-apps to reduce fcs it is better to use dalvik cache for now as ART is still only stable in nexus 5 and some other low end devices

From previous builds, you don't need to. Just install the zip. The second post already explains this clearly.
First of all thanks @chotu222 for creating this thread ma issue is FONTS i used font installer worked fine but only for the first time and now i updated the rom to the latest build lol dpi default agn and even fonts nt changed any work around to change fonts???

Google now widget doesn't appear
I am on cm11 and there is no google now widget appearing in the widgets menu for the homescreen. Happens with launcher 3 as well as GE. I am able add a widget on my lockscreen.

when you put a .zip on the internal storage of the device
how do you make sure that when you do a full wipe that the internal storage is not wiped
dont want to put this on my interenal storage then do a wipe to find i wiped the .zip also

hi, does syncing of emails, whatsapp, google plus etc work automatically or does it have to be done manually??? i ask becoz in other gflex roms it does not work...
I have deinstall Google search. Reinstall from Play store. now it works. Thanks. Great Rom. I'm very Happy. Thanks

Install the rom, it will all be installed during setup wizard and it does the automatic syncronisation
