It doesn't matter, i just don't have a backup available. Also whenever i try to flash it says there is an error and says "Failed"
I just need a to flash via ODIN and then i will root it again.
If u Google how to root sgh t989 there should be a lot of posts with the .tar file and stock ROM I just recently had to do this I'm not sure from which site but the links were live from several sites

Thanks for your help! But if you have the time can you find the site where you found your stock rom?
Just in case if i don't find one
Edit: Yeah, i went on Androidrootz.com and galaxys2root.com and on both sites, the download links don't seem to work. Would you happen to have an uploaded one?

I can't seem to find much of anything on their site -- however their Twitter lists it, and the hotfile.com link works fine too.
It's there now at least. Maybe a delay or something.
Already?
Cool with me.

what is this for? how is it applied>? what does it fix?
Just flashed it. It's ICS!!!
Just kidding. Still GB 2.3.6. Very odd though, first time I've flashed a full ROM using ODIN and maintained my data/apps.

Not particularly no.
Kingsway, when you were talking to Sprint\Samsung a while back, didn't someone say they had more fixes to put in so EK02 may not have been the final build?
Probably just more bug fixes. Maybe that sound bug I've heard about? Never had any problems there though so cannot confirm it.
what's that ? anybody can tell me?
Another.... Sent wow

Very awesome, Devs! Update your roms lol

It is most likely a fix for being unable to flash to EK02 when you had EG31

I flashed using mobileODIN straight from my phone and it auto-injected root for me.
If you want the tar.md5 file instead of downloading a password-protected file from hotfile, here it is:
HOME_SPH-D710_CL806482_user.tar.md5
I used MobileODIN from the Market to flash from my SDCARD and chose to auto-inject root for me so I had root upon flash.
It also didn't remove my data.
Hello eveyone i have been noticing a bit more freezing with my phone.. which usually happens when its time for an update. Do i have the latest version or do i need to update, my phone is currently rooted. and i would like to keep it rooted? id there is an update is it possible to get it without unrooting?

Could be lagging because your ROM needs to be reset... try factory resetting... and yes your pretty up to date... but fc09 is the latest actually... you could just flash an fc09 rom if your rooted and have a custom recovery...
Also please place questions in Q&A thanks =]

lol, i guess what i mean is there a way that the update can be loaded from the SDcard, and is there a link where i can download the update to my sd card???
that how i installed my last update

Hello everyone i wanted to know if my phone has the latest version available. my phone has been acting up lately so i was thinking why not reup with the newest available.
Yes. That is the last and final stock update for the Epic 4G.
I am posting this is because I and a few others seemed to be having the same issue regarding rooting the latest stock rom and now know I know why.
Once the telephone is updated to the latest stock rom: GINGERBREAD.UVLDE.

It can no longer be rooted using the version of the su file the forum posts point to. Although the information in the posts are accurate.
You must use a newer version of the su file. This is the one that worked for me: Corrected http://goo.im/superuser/Superuser-3.0.6-efgh-signed.zip Corrected
You will get an error message after Clockwork runs the script but everything should be ok.
Basically, if your a newb go to: http://galaxys2root.com/t-mobile-galaxy-s2-faq/
Follow the rooting guide, but instead of using the included su zip file use the one from the link that I provided.
I hope that this helps.

Thanks
I dont want to be rude. Thanks for this but i think this is already posted. If you get error just go back wipe dalvik and cache and flash it again or just flash it a couple times. I got this error when i rooted stock kl1 but i knew it because it was reported already and fix was posted as well. I did exactly same to root LDE and it works. If u get error just flash again...thats all.

Yes, as has been stated even prior to the update, some people had to flash su several times for it to take hold.
If it is aborting, you can also toggle off signature verification. Worked like a charm for me.

Did it work?

It worked for a day or two, then stopped. There were some visual goofiness, but better integration and voice recognition!

No need to flash - just open the zip files and copy the backgrounds/sounds over to your sd card. Easiest thing in the world.
Also, the new S Voice still isn't working for me. It just returns a no network connection error message. Anybody have a fix for this yet?

I would not recommend trying that, CF-Auto-Root uses a temporary modded recovery to root the device. It may cause a boot loop if it doesn't get the other files it needs. I do not know for sure tbh
