I am also having this problem recently. Definitely did not used to happen. What is weirder is that if the swept it array the music stops but you can start it again by pressing the pause button from the notification bar.

[Q] Last.fm weirdness with CM7

I've noticed with the last several nightlies on CM7 (I think from 71 and above) that the Last.fm app starts scrobbling a track whenever I pull my headphones out of the phone, even with no music playing. It's always the same track (Sonic Youth's "Mote") regardless of what I was playing before. The Last.fm icon will appear in the notification bar right away. The only way I can get it to go away is to start playing and stopping another track. I use Power Amp with Last.fm scrobbling enabled. Has anyone else run into this, and if so have you figured out a way to stop it? Not sure if this is caused by the app or the rom. Any help would be much appreciated.

Audio Media Controls From Headset - root question

Wondering how possible it would be to make a root app to control the audio media (play, pause) from a headset, while inside apps that don't use audio (ie calendar)?
Hate when I'm playing music and inside another app, then have to switch back to the music app to pause it.
While inside the music app, android must recognize headset controls of 4 types right? Volume up, down, play, and pause. This doesn't seem like too difficult of a task since CM seems to do very similar things.
what do ya think?
Thanks for any help!

I just realized Apollo music app can do this that comes with cm 9. Wonder if its only cause its rooted with this rom or maybe it can do this by default.

[Q] Is there a way to make notifications fade out to a medium lvl instead of muting?

Is there a way to make notifications play in the background?
Like fade in while the music is still playing then fade out instead of muting music completely?
Did you try going in settings-sound-volume and adjust the levls

Yes, I have everything up. I don't' have a problem hearing them, they play loud and clear. But If I am listening to music instead of continuing music play it stops it until the notification sound has finished then resumes play.
I was trying to figure out if there is a way to just barely fade the music into the background without pausing it.

Did you restrict background data on any of those apps?
Are you using a task killer?
Both of these things can stop widgets from updating.

Sound skipping on CM 10.1

Whether I use Apollo, Google play music (my preferred method) or even apps like Pandora and Songza, whenever I touch the screen to do a function like open apps or click links and such the music will skip or kinda pause and play itself again. It doesn't happen when I type though. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

At least yours will stop and continue. Sometimes my music stops altogether, and even when I'm navigating through the music app itself.
I have an S3 on one of my lines, and it does the same thing vey rarely. (stock rom)
