[Q] Icon - Please identify - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I don't know what this icon is left of the 4G. It appears to be two arrows, one green one red with a slash going through the arrows.
I checked the manual and did some searches and could not find anything. I noticed it today for the first time. I have had my Note 3 since first release and have never seen this icon. I have checked settings like NFC have no idea what this icon is.
I am rooted and using Wanam Exposed and XBlast.

Looks like some sort of data transfer method is off.

Not sure what that is, but my phone had it once. I rebooted it and it went away on its own.

I reboot and it goes away for a few minutes and then comes on.
Do run Wanam Exposed?
I suspect it is something in there. If I remove or restore and older version the features.xml in the CSC folder it doesn't not show but I loose Wifi calling.
Please let me know if you Wanam.
Thanks

Curious and curiouser. I frozen all my user apps, the Icon persisted. I did a a factory reset, without loading any apps it still appears. It pops up a minute or two after boot.

So this icon appears for me as well when I run a t mobile sim on my Verizon Note 3.

any way to lower the brightness of the led notification?

I love the led notification, nothing like waking up in the middle of the night and looking over and knowing you don't have any notifications because the light isn't going off... but when I don't need a flashlight BECAUSE it's going off it gets annoying... I wanna be able to go to sleep if I'm ignoring it; yet have it there to know I have things to look at.

and spare me the obvious put something on top. I want something permanent that won't subtract from the look of my phone

Just turn it off???
Sure its nice to know if you have a message from afar but really? One of the first things I did when I got my GS3 and Note 2 was go into settings/display/LED Indicator/and unselect all boxes.
i don't think you can lower the intensity, but you can turn off the notifications and us an app called NoLED. it puts a notification on your screen instead. since OLED only lights up the active pixels the drain should be any more than the notification light. i use it with my sammy droid charge that has no notification lights.
Why not just go into settings and turn on Blocking Mode?
You can set the time frame it's active. It can keep led off, notifications, phone calls etc. You can change the settings for it.

I tried it the other night and it worked. I set the time and features I wanted blocked. Worked out fine from my little test.

Yep it worked. is there anyway to get rid of the blocking notification?
From what I know, it remains in the notification panel, as long as Blocking is turned on.

Its the smart stay feature. haven't quite figured out if it means its detecting or not detecting your eyes when that icon shows. On my note 10.1 running omega, the icon is always present and same color. On my s3 running deTmobilized, it showed up and stayed there once all day until I plugged it in and hasn't shown itself since. :what:

On S3, it shows up when detecting, and then goes away. When the icon comes up, it means its trying to detect where your eyes are seeing.

If your phone is at an angle such as for reading, smart stay uses the front facing camera to detect if your looking at your phone. If your not it will let your phone screen turn off. And if it detects your eyes it will keep you screen on. Smart stay didn't work well on the original software but seems to work better since the update.

I never had much use for it. I keep Google Music, TuneIn Radio and PowerAmp widgets on my music page. I use them as needed.
My issue with page buddy was that it "intelligently" decided what apps to show based on what you used the most frequently (or recently?) while in that mode and didn't give you option to manually add apps to the page.
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I never really used Page Buddy on my Note 2. That was partly because I didn't really find it too useful and also because I used Nova launcher, which automatically got rid of Page Buddy since it was a function of the Touchwiz launcher.
Spotify, PowerAmp as music widgets. Nothing else matters.

How are you able to turn these recommend apps off? I can't find this setting and I've been looking, thanks...
I hated page buddy lol. It was the first thing I turned off on my note 2. I was glad that it wasn't on the note 3
Ok for what it matters.....
I could have sworn I froze some kind of page buddy thing with Ti backup.....so after some thought...I went back into Ti backup and sure enough....I froze something called "pagebuddyNotiSvc 1.0" dunno if thats what youre looking for but it is frozen on my note 3.
Peace

im not rooted, but i did disable that as well in application manager. as i recall, when i plugged in my headphones, instead of the full page buddy from the note 2, i got a row of "audio apps" in the notification tray. since turning this off, that has since gone away. not sure what other functions are included with this besides the headphone triggered stuff. useless feature, IMO.

I have disabled the PageBuddyNotiSvc" in Application Manager. I had to also delete the service's cache, then it worked.
Thanks guys!

S pen problem

This isn't the right forum but I didn't get any results from the other so I will try here. Verizon note 3 rooted with stock ROM. The s pen icon zippers when I pull it out and brings up the air view or memo screen but has no touch effects at all. Doesn't show the little pointer or do anything when I click it. As far as I can tell all settings are correct . I've only used a couple of times before rooted but it did work then. Any ideas? Maybe I'm over looking something. I don't really need it but if it's there I would like it to work. Thanks for any help guys. Jesse

Rebooting your phone should get it back.
Settings/Application Manager/All/TouchWiz Home/Select Force stop/Press home button. Not sure why they disappear on occasion but this gets them back for me.
