I need something solid, and built specifically for the HTC One if possible
I have tried a few of the >$10 ones from amazon, but they are crap. I want something that is not too too expensive, but I'd be willing to pay up if there is something truly worth more.
I don't know how much you are willing to use your hands but here is my mount for pretty much everything.
Our features a otterbox case and the belt clip, and a piece of metal, and Cullman flexxx table top set.
I drilled two holes in the belt clip and the metal, plus one with a1/4“ 20UNC screw Thread.
With the Cullman clamp it can be mounted pretty much everywhere. As you may see I use it for videos and Timelapse.
Hope this helps you a bit.

I have one that's a pouch but also has a window in the front where you slide the phone into.
I forget the name of it now, but I saw it on dealextreme not too long ago.

build my own you mean?
I don't think I could...
I wouldn't want to use something self built to keep my One safe... Lol
I got an idea today. Should be cheap.
What about you get one of these:
Should be available at every home depot.
Then you get one of those:
Cut the straps, look for a plastic or thin wood that fits, insert under the HTC in the case and screw it on the clamp.
That should cost you under 15 bucks and wood be even water resistant.

If you don't mind paying a premium, ProClip is a good way to go. They have a custom fit HTC One mount or a universal one that works with cases. I'd get that one. Little pricey, but they're quality.
A Call could be made with speakers, maybe this works. Or with a headset.
Message should not be a problem, the transparent layer normally does not affect the touchscreen

Giant smart watch, huh? xD
Not that I know. I'd try a normal one, on eBay for about 3€, it's super cheap

Yesterday I bought the set from topeak. The 4-5" dry bag with the bike mount. The One fits perfect. Looks like it was made for the One!

Anyone have a review on these, I am considering picking one up, as soon as the Korean vendors on ebay finish their price competition..

lovely case but the protruding stand is horrible
sticks out in your pocket and the phone does not sit flush on the desk
this case without the coin stand would be very appealing
Slice that bit off with a box cutter
Me want
I want this case bad, but there needs to be a version that fully wraps around the edge of the phone and covers the buttons for better protection. Otherwise these are by far and away my favorite case for the white version of the phone.
I used one of those for a little while, the coin thing was a great idea, and although the phone didn't sit flush on tables etc, it wasn't ridiculous.
My only issue with the case was that it didn't cover the sides of the phone, which bothered me. I also couldn't plug in certain headphones due to the way the hole in the top of the case was cut, and I didn't fancy trying to go all DIY with it!
Edit- nearly forgot, for some reason, the case did pop off the phone in my pocket on the odd occasion. Not massively often, but it was a little concerning when it did!

I got this case today. I like it so far.
But the little bump its a bit annoying when you set your phone on a flat surfice.
WOW..now this is different for sure

I've also been using this protecting case for some while now,
the only adjustment i made was to replace the (in my opinion rubbish screen protector) with a Zagg HD one, it's awesome now, the belt-clip also comes in handy!
thanks
why would someone put this onhis phone? its massive, looks damn ugly, kills the dimensions of the phone and design.
only if u r a mine worker or something like that.
horrible.
good review :good:
That's the exact point. To protect your phone against a rough environment. Not all phone geeks work in an office. Some of us actually do some hard labor

been thinking what to choose this one or Ballsitic (looks like the 2nd is tougher even a bit)
I have this:

Is the best!
Well that's your opinion, it looks like it's an ok case, I still think the ballistic offers a better level of protection.

Bleh, chubby and ugly case. I can see it protect your phone from a nuclear strike though so that's at least a plus. Any field tests?

It's survived light rain, some mud and grime and paint. LOTS of drops and an accidental throw. It's dropped face down on pavement and been fine. Corners bounce it to safety.

Yeah it's necessary to certain person to use this case
That's why I choose to review it
So while not specifically fit to the Moto X, I thought I would share a finding. My wife has an iPhone 4s with a lifeproof case. She uses the lifeproof arm band for running. Today I took it for a run with my Moto X (in a foaming slim fit TPU case). It is super secure, fits in the arm band well and has NO COVER OVER THE SCREEN. It was easy to stop and start my running app and get to the volume buttons for music (that I also have set to skip music)

The one I use is for the 4/4S. She has a 5S and armband now and it works as well, while not quite as secure (Lasted for a 6 mile run just fine).
Any way I could convince you to post a pic with it in the armband?
TIA!

Awesome. Appreciate that.

I already got the HTC 10 coming and need a good belt pouch. Sorta like this: http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ZlAAAOSw~bFWQ4JH/s-l500.jpg Nothing fancy. Only problem is, the sides block the headphone jack, which for the HTC 10, is in the middle... That causes problems, as I'd like to listen to music while I carry the phone.
I've already tried searching on google, looked through amazon and ebay, and can't find something like this. I would like a pouch, not one of those bulky cases that attach the phone to the belt. Also, horizontal pouch is highly preferable.
If anyone knows where I can find one like that, please help a nendo out. Thank you!

I'd imagine any other holster/item from this seller for the HTC One M9 would work just as well with the HTC 10.
EDIT:
Just an added BTW:
If you select one of this sellers items, you'll wanna check to see if the holster will accommodate a case, that is,if you're gonna use a case.
Most items are custom made for use w/o a case, you may be able to get by using a backless bumper,or the absolute slimmest of cases.
The close fit is to ensure security within the holster,I imagine,so,best to take overall dimension measurements (LxWxH & thickness) when inquiring.
Use a right angle headphone adapter, preferably one with short cable to separate Jack. I think there is room in that case, end to end for the angled plug.

Got it today. Feels good, hugs the phone nicely and doesn't feel too bulky. Only thing is power button Is a little deep. Other than that it's good.

I had gotten the carbon fiber version of that, but returned it because it did not play well with the stock charging cable...Also the fingerprint cutout is too small to properly read my middle finger [emoji2]

its not leather, its plastic with leather feel lol
not bad in my opinion. we will see what happens with time. favorite case so far.
I have this one too. Use it as a daily driver for 10 days or so on my Sprint V20. I like the idea of emergency credit card and copy of my driving license are always being handy and hidden inside of this case. I see folks complaining about inconvenient cutout for fingerprint scanner or something. IMO, it couldn't be any more comfortable, I don't recall having a single reject from it, works flawlessly and superfast! The only con that Tridea's case is slightly bulky and being in combo with enormous phone is quite a task to manage single-handed operations! I might search for something skinnier (and may be with card compartment on a back) later on, as phone has basic drop-protection itself!
