Deep Sleep - LG Optimus G Pro

So, I wasn't getting deep sleep on any ROM... Ever. It sucked. I flashed a modem and am now getting deep sleep. So, for anyone that's not getting deep sleep, find the modem and flash that.... Helped me. Somewhere in the BS Harmony page

This solved my problem. It was antagonizing me like crazy, I tried anything from 4.1 to 4.4 and nothing worked until I flashed this: http://downloads.codefi.re/madmack/GPRO/CM10_1/modem/E980-MODEM-BM9615A-CWM.zip
Now I'm kickin' butt and taking names on CM11 M2. :3

That's the one! Thank you for supplying the link. @porkchopsandwiches

There was actually a post on the homepage about build.prop tweaks and this was one that was found to be completely useless. The OS actually skips right over it as this function isn't included.

This is the canadian section. They can boot mako kernels like multiple people have told you. I don't think anyone can give a definite answer, but the N4 conversion doesn't even apply to them.
I have tested ubuntu on my gnex and it's not something you want yet. It's really incomplete ( I.e. no network beside wifi, no way to enter contact, search is not working). They could have done a video and I'd have been less deceived. I wish this will still evolve but right now it's not something to you want. Btw, it even use cyanogenmod files.

If your interested in Ubuntu Touch as an alternative OS for your phone.. then we might need to wait a while for that. However if your interested in running Ubuntu Desktop OS on your phone alongside Android at the same time and use it as a "carry me everywhere" PC, well that you can do right now! Download "Complete Linux Installer" from the market, it will take you through the process. I've installed it yesterday to see what it's all about, and despite the fact that i have to connect to my phone via a VNC session, performance is not that bad for everyday productivity tasks.
Yeah, Q&A would be a better place for this.

[Q] Which Witch is which?

I just purchased a used e971 (Rogers) which is my second Android phone. I learned quite a bit about rooting and ROMS, etc as an end user on my Galaxy S2.
I'm VERY happy with the LGoG, however I have to admit I'm ROYALLY CONFUSED about which ROM's will and won't work with the Rogers version.
Even in the Canadian forum there seems to be ROMS that may or may not work depending on your carrier, etc.
So I guess what I'm asking is - is there a resource available which explains which ROMs work with which LGoG's and why? Or put another way - how to intelligently know which ROM's to choose, and which to stay away from ?
Thanks so much!

Anyway i have e989 so i tried to flash a few roms for e980 not successful so i backed to stock , it's so.complicated for me in this phone, i came from i9500 and no problems with roms. ..

Game performance-wise, original stock still seems to be the fastest for me. I was never happy with the gaming performance of this device to begin with, and original stock is the only thing that I can settle on. As far as regular phone use, they're all fairly similar. I'd probably go with CM just because it's been out the longest and has likely the most kinks worked out of it. Although there was one that had a nifty notification drawer color themer that I liked alot, but I can't remember which it was.

The best ROM for you is the one you like the best,

BOSD is everywhere.

Hi fulks!
I would like to know if BSOD could be related to ROMs too?
in almost any Kitkat ROM and kernel that I've tried a got a bosd.
even the latest f93 - solid kernels that are supposed to be stable.
Thanks for you response...

Yeah, CM is the most stable ROM that I've tested, but it miss some features that are the ones why I always left lol
I thought I was the only one, what seemed to fix it for me was bumping voltage, if you lowered it already just bump it back up the same amount you lowered it by. If you haven't touched voltage then maybe try bumping up once.

For me CM11 gave me the most issues. This phone is extremely weird and you have to try many many different combinations of roms/kernels until you find the right combo that is bug free. For me LiquidSmooth gives me least issues with best battery life.
