Hello!
I am unable to boot to fastboot mode by pressing volume up + down + power buttons. I turn off the device and I simultaneously I press these buttons. The screen remains black.
I unlocked and rooted the device with Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit without any problem. The devices does enter to fastboot mode via the toolkit (adb) but I can't make it work with the buttons. What am I doing wrong? :cyclops:
Thank you in advance

Hi, I'm Stefano. I want to make the root in my Ace 2 but I can't enter in download mode or recovery mode. When I use the sequence (volume down + main button + power or volume up + main button + power) anything happens! the phone turn on. I tried with another phone and the sequence works!
Can you help me?
I unlocked my BL and after that when I reboot my phone with volume up pressing nothing happens. Why? what should I do ?
To enter fastboot mode you don't need to reboot, simply press Volume + and plug it onto the PC while the device is POWER OFF , it should indicate the fastboot mode with a blue LED
I tried to flash a ROM and when it tried to reboot it was stuck at the logo screen. Before I flashed the ROM I did a backup with TWRP. Now I can't get into recovery mode but I can get into download mode. What or how can I fix this problem via Odin ?
This is a T800
USA area
Thanks in advance
Your need to boot into Download mode by simultaneously pressing and holding Power + Vol down + Home. After the tab has booted into Download mode, press Vol down for cancelling the download mode. Then you must be quick: before the boot screen appears, you need to press and hold Power + Vol up + Home to boot into recovery mide.
Best, maris

If you search Q&A Help and Troubleshooting this problem has been covered many times.
The problem is purely user error and timing.
From power off simply press POWER + VOL UP + HOME. Hold until recovery boots.
If you are stuck at boot screen then hold POWER + VOL DOWN + POWER. As soon as the screen goes blank change to volume up whilst still holding the other buttons.
Guaranteed to get you into recovery mode.
A buddy of mine just gave me this phone and asked if I could help unbrick it. I have no info what they did with the phone before it got bricked.
I can't go into recovery and if I try that's when the bootloop begins.
I can go into fastboot mode. From there I installed 8 different STOCK boot.img and recovery.img files because I have no way of knowing the firmware installed and still nothing.
Is there anyway to unbrick this phone?
Thanks in advance.
Boot into Recovery mode with below steps:
1. Press Power Button + Volume Up Key
2. Then from Fasboot option - use Volume Key and choose Recovery Mode, press Power Button.
3. If it booted in Recovery Menu with Sleeping Android and Error, then Press
4. Again Volume Up Key and Power Button, leave Power Button immediately after 1 or 2 seconds.
5. You See normal Recovery Menu, from here you Reset Your Handset.

Hello:
I use the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Plus J2 Phone.
I want to root my phone using the latest version of Magisk, 22.0. But I also have to install the TWRP custom recovery. Well I don't know how to get the phone in to fastboot to enable me install the recovery.
So, I will be most grateful if I can get some tutorial on how to boot the phone in to fastboot and subsequently install the TWRP custom recovery latest version.
Hope my question is well understood.
Thanking you in advance for your help.
The usual way to put the majority of Android phones into fastboot/odin/download mode is to :
Have the phone off
Hold down the volume down button
Hold down the power button to switch the phone on
Release the power button when the screen switches on
Release the volume down button when you’re in download mode
It’s easy to remember : volume down is for download mode
Likewise, to boot into recovery (to get your device back up), do the same while holding down the volume up button.
If you have an extra button (such as the home button on older Samsung phone), hold it in addition to the volume buttons.
(Some devices use other methods to enter different modes. I’ve seen :
Holding down both volume up and down buttons while pressing power
Holding either volume up/down while plugging the USB cable to a computer
All start with the phone switched off.)
As for TWRP, a quick search led me to https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...axy-j2-grand-prime-plus-sm-g532f-g-m.3616589/
You’ll most probably need a Windows computer with Odin to flash TWRP for the first time. Once it’s done, you should be able to do without.
