Is there a Micro USB adaptor or a way of getting the tab to read my SD card?
buy that [Official Samsung USB + SD card Adapter]
http://www.expansys.com/samsung-con...-10-1-30-pin-to-usb-30-pin-to-sd-slot-219891/
And how will I get this for usa?
Get the Samsung USB Connector from Best Buy, go to their website and search for SKU 2837365. The price is $19.99 and it allows you to use just about any Micro SD USB reader. It also works with USB sticks, mice and keyboards! I got 2 of them from my local BB. Picture attached.
The best Micro USB card reader is one that I got from Micro Center, it's made by SIIG and is super tiny! It's just about the same size as the Micro SD card itself, you just can't get any smaller and it's only $5.99. Picture attached and here is a link to purchase:

Here's a picture showing the USB connector attached to my Tab. You can see in the notification area that it recognizes the USB device attached, and you click to safely unmount when your done. When you plug in the adapter with a storage device it automatically launches the file manager and goes right to the drive. It supports copy/cut/paste from/to internal memory and the attached storage.
Thanks so much for your help I happen to have a 10 dollar gift card for bb and microcenter is right around the corner not to mention there's not many of them out there
Check out the reviews of that micro usb card reader. Many of the reviews on amazon say it doesn't last very long...
Try this one:

Both look interesting. Might try the amazon one first. Just picked up the USB adapter at BB.
They are just getting their GTab display setup and didn't have any on the shelf, so might have to ask around. Had a really helpful guy looking for me and he went all over the store and in the back before locating them in a cupboard in the phone area.
Thanks for the info.

I had that one. For some reason, it fit too snugly in the Samsung adapter, and the plastic end broke off when I tried to pull it out. Trashed the MicroSD card as well.

Truth. It's a pain taking out a regular usb drive. I can't imagine how much harder it is if the thing was micro.
I forgot I have a $5 reward cert for BB, I may have to get the usb adapter from them with it before it expires. I have a very small microsd usb card reader but problem is that it kinda gets warm when I have it plugged into a computer/usb hub. It is like the one below except it is orange.

I would rather use a usb thumb drive or sd card since they are much cheaper for larger GB amounts, problem is finding one that is small. I wonder if any thumb drives are setup to be used at a right angle?
ariel123, You need a Micro SD card reader, this thread has links to 2 of them, one from Micro Center and one from Amazon.

It's a black TPU case that I got off of eBay. Fits the Tab great and feels really nice.

Aargh, why didn't I pick one of those usb connectors at BB when I was in the USA (where I bought my tab).

Thanks for the info I sort of figured it out self it works quiet well now I can transer sings from my tab to the ad card my car radio has
Now will these adapters allow you to play music, movies and pics from the card or is it just used to transfer data back and forth?
I found this Micro USB To Magnetic Charger Port Adapter. Is it compatible with Z1?
If anybody have try this with Aluminum bumper, is it fit?
From what I can see, the bumper seems to have a big enough opening for you to be able to fit the adapter in.
Yes it works
I have that adapter and the love me! aluminum bumper and it works. The only issue is that it is not a strong connection so you can't move the phone while it's connected.
Hey guys, I had an i dea on a case, first off im unsure if itll work, but want some feedback of what you think. First, i wanna basically make if a mini laptop type of thing..but still maintain the tablet as it is. The case will charge, have a keyboard, usb ports, and internal storage. I am going to attempt to make the usb box with the storage removable, on the bottom of the case. It would be nice if the keyboard were removable too but thats un important at the moment. For charging im going to utilize the qi(?) wireless charging, build this into the case. In order to power this i will remove the port off of the system and place a deans connector at the base of the case(all connections will use deans connectors cause they are easy and modular) the location will depend on the case, but they will either be at the back along the very bottom edge or on the bottom. The otg adapter will be built into the case so when you slide the nexus in to the case it connects to it. This will also run down to 2 deans connectors. These are how the usb hub will become removable. The usb module will house the port for the power adapter, an un-powered usb hub, an internal memory of some sort, and if the charger is plugged in there will be a switch to change the un-powered usb hub unto a powered one. (will not be using stock qi power adapter, will use something slightly more powerful in order to split the power between the qi and the usb hub. I will be building a circuit for that) All the connections will connect to a corresponding deans plug. Thus making it easily removable and turning it back into a regular case again. Add the wireless keyboard that fits the case, and a wireless mouse and possibly the tablet running full ubuntu(have a few ideas to fix some issues with it for instance the kubuntu desktop over the normal ubuntu desktop to assist in some lag). All of it will be encased in black leather( hopefully i can find the same texture as the manufactures case, if not i may completely strip the case and use only the hard parts(for instance the frame holding the nexus) and create my own case( may actually be my best route).
Also streaming out to tv will be covered via miracast.
So what do you think? Possible? Will it work? Worth while?
What case and keyboard would you suggest? Preferably something cheaper..

Does no one think this is a good idea?

Sounds like a good idea in theory, but if you want a laptop why dont you just buy a netbook
As the person above me said, it's a good idea in theory, but what is the impetus for designing or using this? Not being snarky, just curious what purposes you have in mind for this product or for what situations it could be beneficial. What would be a marketing strategy or hook to interest people that separates it from a laptop or netbook?
Has anyone come across either of these items that worked well. I used to have a micro USB flash drive with USB on one side and micro USB on the other and loved being able to store much more data on that and transfer it when I needed but haven't taken the plunge to get one yet. Has anyone got a review on a decent one.
Also I am looking for a USB Type C card reader. I ordered this one in the picture below but when I plug it into my phone it tries to say that it's a wet plug and doesn't work. Anyone have any luck.
Also I'm just looking for cool phone Accessories if anyone has come across some. Power packs, anything.

If you're talking about that best buy one then that things awesome. I would often share cool things with people like cracked Pandora or Spotify, etc. I hope they make another one with your C on one end, and micro USB on the other.
I'm sure it will be made later on as type C connectors get more common.
Hi, I've been noticing over the past few days that my phone has had difficulties connecting to my pc over USB and charges very slowly. I've tested multiple USB cables but the phone consistently drops out and I either get that repeating connecting/disconnecting or an error stating that the USB device cannot be recognised. If I place the usb-c connector just right, the phone will connect and I can copy files over, etc. However, during the last copy, my micro sd card corrupted which has given me no shortage of grief as it was a 128GB card filled with irreplaceable family photos and FLAC files that I ripped myself. I also noticed that my OTG adapters have difficulties connecting so I can confirm that the issue is not the cable or my computer but the connector on the phone. Understandably this issue has been incredibly annoying but I also don't want to take the phone back since I have a nice Orlzy protector and Dbrand skin applied. Is the port stuffed or is there some sort of fix? Any comments will help, thanks.
I'd take a look inside the connector and check for any obvious issues in there (dust, cloth particles, etc)
On the M7 the port kept filling with random crap which at some point made the USB connection very loose.
I had to scrape it out with a needle once in a while.
But yea, if that doesn't help, I'd send it in...
