Hi Guys,
Need your expertise. last two years my DHD was in Virtuous Quattro RC3 rom.... Lately I feel like change to another rom. The rom installation going smooth (Access to recovery, wipe everything, select custom rom zip, install, complete) Once successful and continue to reboot to new rom it just stuck in the htc white screen forever (longest I wait is until 1 hour)... Tried other DHD roms but the result still same... Anyone can guide me on this???? I don't want to stuck with Virtuous Quattro RC3 forever :crying:
if you are s-on, you must fastboot flash boot.img from ROM you installed

Hi,
My desire is running on a stock pre-rooted rom with s-on. I went into recovery mode and flashed this zip file without wiping anything. And now my phone cant boot as it is stuck on the HTC logo. PLEASE help!!

I've reflashed my rom and my phone is now working But how will i install the previous zip file without getting the same problem. Should i do a wipe b4 flashing??
That .zip (honeycomb music.apk) is mainly for GB ROMs. I think a pre-rooted froyo does not have the libs, maybe that's causing the problem.
Today i've tried 2 times to get my Desire S-OFF but it doesn't work.
I've waited for 2 hours each time but it still isn't S-OFF<
I've tried with USB and CD but both without succes.
Please can somebody help me.
Thanks
Make sure you use a rom without a2sd or data2sd.
Also are you rooted?

You should head over to their IRC channel: #alpharev on Freenode.

So this one should not work?
InsertCoin 2.0.1 DATA2EXT (it's an HD rom)
No, no data2sd for sure.

you have to either flash a stock rom (without data2xxx or a2sd+) or run a RUU, root again and go s-off
As written on alpharev site, you should use a stock rooted Rom to apply s-off. During the s-off process your /data partition is used and should be save accessable. Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773997
1. make a Nandroid of your installed Rom.
2. Then flash the stock rooted one.
3. Reboot
4. Apply s-off
5. Revert your Nandroid
Done!

If it's any help I did s-off via CD and used oxygen rom - it took under 10 minutes for the whole thing. You can always change the rom after gaining s-off, although oxygen is a fantastic build!
Thanks everybody for reply so quick and for the help!!

Thanks guys ..
i'm having a bit of problem.
I rooted my brothers Desire Z yesterday and it now says S OFF and i successfully flashed a working ICS ROM yesterday
but now i want to install a stock rom with root and when i do it always hangs on the HTC logo, i did wipe data and cache partition-
Vision PVT ENG S-OFF
H-BOOT-0.84.2000 (PC1011000)
MICROP-0425
RADIO-26.08.04.30_M3
i did flash another radio but i had problem even before i did so. Anyone who knows a working rooted stock ROM or have another other idea?
If i flash the same ICS ROM again the phone works (Desire S ICS PORT Z B7R1.zip). (I realise it says Desire S but i think it said it was for D Z).
Try glite or g2slim for a stock experience

You may find other ROMs that suit you more, try a few out

Thanks, but what i meant with stock is original Gingerbread with Sense (but with root) i possible.
Sure then try one of the sense roms based of gingerbread, if you take the stock rom you will need to install superuser and busybox. Most of the custom roms will be a better choice though

Virgin Mobile HTC One V (CDMA/primoc)
2.3.3 twrp recovery working fine
Unlocked with HTC dev
***unlocked*** (in boot loader)
Flashed su then gapps 4.1 then Pacman ROM
Error can't format SD ext (don't think this is a problem but hey just in case)
When the phone reboots it stays at the boot animation for the ROM. I've tried a couple other ROMs to no avail. I also left it with the boot animation over night just to make sure it wasn't just taking a long time. I have also been searching the internet for a RUU to at least get the phone working again. I've also been reading the xda forums and I think it might have something to do with my radios (like version 1.0.0...) I'm not totally inexperienced in android rooting (I'm currently using my HTC Evo V 3d s-off rooted with Gangamstlye ROM) but any help would be much appreciated!
I am able to access twrp recovery and can use adb with fastboot still - only my one v won't get past the boot animation

If it's a new phone you will most likely need to run the RUU but you should go in this order when flashing a ROM.
Extract the kernel from the rom
Boot into recovery
FULL WIPE
Flash ROM
Boot into bootloader
Flash boot.img through fastboot ( fastboot flash boot boot.img )
Install 4.1.2 Gapps
I have tried reflashing in that order and it still didn't work :/ Do you know where I could get a RUU?
