Hello Guyz Is there any X-reality port for Xperia ZL yet? ( Once I unlocked bootloader so my Bravia Engine was gone and I locked it again so I dont have a working Bravia Engine right now.)
My ZL Firmware is the latest 4.3
Thank You For Your Time

hey jst flash the stock rom again via flashtool u vl recover ur bravia engine
I don't think that this will work... TA partition is unique for each device, so it is not included in the ftf file. Even if you use a backup of TA from another phone it is possible that you brick your phone.
The only thing that might be possible is building your own ftf from your files of sus or pcc. Maybe your own personal TA is integrated in those files.

it worked on my live with walkman after flashing stock rom
I did flashed the stock rom and updated through SUS actually but no it does not work. So I desperate so I used the port in Xperia M section (X-reality and BE2), and still I have no luck getting it work again.
However, I'm still enjoying my ZL screen and resolution. But its a plus if get to have BE2 or X-reality working again
I've been using zl for a while now. I've tried a lot of things. I even flashed an aosp rom with the expense of losing the be. I'm not quite satisfied so i reverted back to stock rooted rom, bootloader locked. Good thing i have a ta backup. Never restore a different ta backup as it will brick your toy bro. You can never find your drm keys elsewhere. It's unique. Based on everything i've read in the forums, without the drm keys on your ta partition, be won't work. Just sharin' bro

to unlock bootloader even if you lose warranty ...yes this is possible for your phone
in fact for certain releases of these phone models :
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ arc
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ arc S
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ neo
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ neo V
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ pro
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ mini
Sony Ericsson Xperia ™ mini pro
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ ray
Sony Ericsson Xperia™ active
Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman™
Sony Xperia™ S
Sony Xperia™ P
Sony Xperia™ U
Sony Xperia™ sola
to unlock bootloader proceed with the first step at Sony site
you have to flash a stock-based ROM if you do not want to unlock bootloader
this case is the same- you lose warranty
look here for stock-based ROMs
never flash a ROM not made for your phone
that means, that i CANT install cyanogenmod with a locked bootloader?

yes you get the point !
I understand your frustration
but there are plans to release an official ICS for this phone check Sony site or by PC Companion
in this case you will never lose warranty and ICS is very good for your... in fact amazing Arc S phone :good:
PS
yes you can flash an unrooted stock-ROM before you send it to service ..
how about if you have a hardware failure ?
Ok... thank you :good:
But arconium (stock-based rom) also recomendeds Unlocked bootloader.
The point why i dont have to root my phone is that i can flash back to an unrooted firmware and then i think the support wont know that i rooted my phone ( i hope so )

I like that you really want Cyanogen on your phone
me to I made a custom rom for my phone here
this rom has Cyanogen Launcher just because I like this OS
nope no chance to have Cyangoen without an unlocked bootloader
there are little chances to find one to work without S-off
It's something about base address of the kernel/protected bootloader/encryption something like this.. You have to assume the risks if you want it !
ok ! thank u very much, u helped me alot :good::good::good:

Hello guys,
After updating My Acro S i have done this directly from SEUS ..
It's an .ftf file so Flash with Flash tools
For them who kept there BootLoader locker (as me) just chek "Exclude Kernel" in Flashtools
No Brand , From France
Download Link On Google Drive Mirror It, as you want
If it's help You, hit thanks
Pims83, exactly what is this file ?
I would like to unlock my Acro and flash a custom ROM but there does not seem to be any custom ROMs that are very stable so I'm curious as to what this file is ?
Cheers, LL13-
Hi,
Plz before posting search.
- Stock, means that is the original ROM from Sony
- No brand, means there no modification from any provider
- .FTF, this type of file can be flashed with flashtools
So with this Rom you can't unSimLock your phone you have just the original rom from sony
I hope that help you

Hey i am getting an acro s very soon and was on the forums checking here. There seems to be no roms that are being developed that is good for the phone. Xperia S roms can work but you won't get the memory card to function. From what i have heard the phone performs excellent with the stock sony rom. Acro s isn't sold everywhere in the world that is why we might not see much custom roms for it.
Actually you hav 2 rom that are fully working for XPERIA ACRO S :
STOCK LT26w 6.1.A.2.50 Modded by Pims 83 that work with locked bootloader
or
Erachter ROM v5.1 but you need an unlocked Bootloader
that all for now

Will this work on an Acro HD (SO-03D from Docomo)

Yes, but be careful about flashing the baseband, or you might not be able to get a signal (happend to me when I flashed a Taiwanese Ftf onto my Acro HD). Either exclude the baseband, or have an ftf of a Docomo rom handy, and flash just the baseband from that if it doesn't work.
I'll give it a go then.
Thanks
I've installed it, worked perfectly. Then I got the message there was an update, so I installed that as well, no more connection to my provider.
Luckily I had a Docomo firmware at hand, flashed the Docoma baseband and now everything works perfectly without the Japanese apps on it.
Thanks.
Since I flashed this ROM, I can no longer enter flash mode to load another ROM with flash tool (I push vol down while connecting to the USB, it just starts charging)

Odd, never had that problem. Did you start flash tool with the phone pluged into the USB, then turn it off and unplug the USB before turning the phone off?
I let flash tool running, unplugged the phone an powered it down
hi do you have jellybean stock FTF file?
Yesterday I flashed on my Xperia S GB 6.0.A.3.76 FW. after testing a lot of roms like CM9.1/CM10/KA Xperia/Stock ICS and much more ,I understood that the perfomance with GB FW is the best ever... Everything works like charm ,camera is really great ,especially with "[MOD][CAM]GBXperia S|Video 1080p >20mb Bitrate|720p >15mb Bitrate|>100% Image quality".
Gaming perfomance is so smooth... no lags at all ,GTA VC works and it really great. Also Mobile Bravia Engine is a very huge advantage to me!
Waiting now for the official JB release from Sony ,till then I'm staying with GingerBread FW.
:good:
I thought bravia engine is not working to those who already unlocked bootloader even if you relocked it..yup I agree very smooth when you in gb because I try to reflashed it to recover the drm keys but im failed..music download info is not working also bravia engine..try stock based rom, try xtx7 so smooth also for me it is the best stock based rom and I modify it gx home preferences and tab&grid, all this mod and rom was created by niaboc..see attached

My BL is unlocked and I didn't relocked it. BE works well on GB FW ,but not on ICS. Also tried XTX7 ,but the perfomance was to much sluggish ,games worked on a very low FPS.
One question: If I relock bootloader I can use PCC to update my phone without bricking it right?

I have unlocked bootloader on custom ics rom and my MBE is not working, does relocking bootloader and switching back to gingerbread will make MBE to work again ?
My MBE was working perfectly on ICS before unlocking my phone's bootloader.

It should work. I also had Locked BL with ICS .452 FW and MBE worked great... After unlocking BL ,MBE never worked for me on ICS ,even on .452 FW. Now I'm on GB and unlocked BL.
Never actually tried GB on my S, as soon as I bought it I updated to ICS. I'll give GB a shot and see how it is

Ok, so I need to download the zip file then extract the ftf file and put it inside the flashtool firmware folders then flash through flash tool. After that I can also use fast boot to flash Doom Kernel for root. Ok, Got it. Thanks!

I successfully downgraded my xperia s and MBE is also working,my bootloader is also unlocked.
What if I relock my bootloader and flashed ICS 6.1.a.2.45, will MBE work?

is there root for 2.3.7? I was thinking of switching back to Gb too before but not sure if it can be rooted thats why im with ICS for now.
tried rooting gingerbread but kept bootlooping, one more try and it looks like it might have to be going back to ICS.
Dear all,
I think I have read, that I can flash a Xperia S Kernel on my Acro S. It will work but I will loose external SD Card support - is that right?
Thanks for your answers
Kind regards
NEVER DO THAT!!!!!!
This will hard-brick your phone even though software of S & acro S are similar.

I'd like you to know that... Relock File For Xperia S
Works for Arco S too.
I have tested it myself.
For Complete peace of your mind.
You can first Flash Stock ftf file for Your device,
Relock Arco S Using this file. Download it----> [Here]
Then Reapir Or Re Install STOCK from PCC or SUS
If you have any doubts,

Didn't work for me, but I downloaded the update via PCC, than followed the instructions to make an .ftf from them and finally flashed it through flashtool. I just had to do it step by step, so I first made all the wipes (came from CM10.1 V.03), excluded everything else, then did flash only system, then kernel etc. Only TA failed constantly for me. Because TA fails everytime on me, I also couldn't relock the bootloader. But I am on stock JB now and all is working fine as far as I can tell!
