DISCLAIMER
Code:
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.

I want this rom to be the go to for a CLEAN AOSP experience. Ultimate battery, performance and reliability OUT OF THE BOX, that's the goal of the rom. I picked the source that impressed me the most to do add my own layer of optimizations over it, tailor made for our device and it's hardware, more than a bot building the same source for 15 different devices. This rom may not be for those who feel the need to flash nightlies and even weeklies as I will always pick refinement over the addition of features. The base will only be updated when a new version is proven to be as clean as current version and when time allows it. To those who like the sound of it, you're in for for something great
W03Tweaks are back in v47.1
- Boosted headphone volume. Let's say our hardware capability is 0db, stock CM value was -7db, and our new value is +3db. So +10db boost. Note at full volume you might get a bit of audio clipping if your music is loud and well peaked, just take it down a notch
- Simplified multi-core handling
- Tweaks to PegasusQ governor, for optimal speed and battery
- ROW default CPU scheduler
- Disabled gentle-fair sleepers = better deep sleep
- AFTR+LPA sleep mode = better deep sleep
- 2048kb storage read-ahead = better sd cards performance
- Fixed Android 4.3+ possible battery drain related to gsiff_daemon
- Built-in ad-block host file
- Few ringtones and notification sounds from Samsung roms
- Greater virtual memory values for our big 2gb RAM
- Slower wifi scan = better battery
- Other deep sleep tweaks
- Disabled useless error-checking (logcat still works)
- Optimized mobile data connection (TCP buffers and fixed radio settings)
- Enabled AMR wideband calls for carriers that supports it
4.4 Known Bugs:
* Known CM 11 bugs
* You tell us
----------
DOWNLOAD MODIFIED TWRP RECOVERY 2.6.3.1 WITH FIXES FOR 4.4
DOWNLOAD ROM
ROM Mirror
DOWNLOAD 4.4 GAPPS
Gapps Mirror
It is not recommended to flash SuperSU anymore, caused issue to some people. The built in Superuser now works with ART, it's our reliable root
----------
Recommended Apps:
* Greenify: More than a task killer, it prevents apps from taking ressources when you're not actively using them. Awesome!
* Papyrus: A great alternative to S Notes

Got some huge news tonight guys
BeanStalk has been a priceless rom to build an use from the start, since android 4.4 it's got harder to maintain, bugs staying there release after release and some too deep for me to fix
With the free time that comes with the holidays I've looked for a new source for us to base on. It's been a though call but I'm confident I made the right one and you'll be the ones who judge of that
There will be no more BeanStalk + W03Tweaks
Our new rom will be Temasek CM11 + W03Tweaks
I've been working on it and running it during the last days and I have to say: it's the best rom I've ever run
Imagine the features we love of beanstalk, and without the bugs, source being built super carefully and updated very often
The perfect rom if there's a such thing hehe
We've been an incredible team in this thread, and fear not this is not over it's just getting better
In here
I won't close this thread, wil be open for people who want to keep using BeanStalk but my work focus is on Temasek rom now and I invite you to give it a shot (and have your mind blown )
Good weekend people!!

You're more than welcome brother. Thanks for allowing to break down the builds.

Tried flashing the Rom..... It got stuck in a boot loop. Ended up restoring my omni back up. I even installed the new twrp recovery as well.... Still wouldn't load. Tried 3 times.

Looking forward to this.
Oh my. Just for the ability to increase font size this was all worth the switch. I could barely see anything. I'll finish going through everything tomorrow. Thanks @willl03.

Had no issues myself. However, the Goo download failed for me, on both my phone and PC. But the Dev host worked fine. Maybe a bad download or possibly a upload. Did you flash anything else with the Rom?
With myself, I always flash busybox, animation mod, modem, cpusleep, and some inverted google apps as well. I've not had a problem yet doing so, since 4.2.2 but if you are flashing extra stuff and it's hanging, they may also be the cause. But if you haven't already try the Dev host Link.

Ohhhh. I'm here Will03..you are awesome..since I have never,,,, never been on one ROM for this long (bs) I will deff flash this and follow you...... Still. You rock!

Have it up and running! Sensors still seem a bit screwy though, compass/gyro rotates backwards and seems to stop working requiring a reboot to come back, also my proximity sensor was stuck on my first boot, will have to test tomorrow if its working properly.
Otherwise, solid! Would love to see system DPI settings added back, but I was able to get that working with pimp my ROM. Going to test app settings shortly!
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
Edit: app settings seems to be working just fine!
Also, are the sensor issues I am experiencing ROM related or kernel related? I had the exact same issues with the last two beanstalk releases by will. As far as I can tell its an issue with 4.4.2
Is anyone else having these issues or know how to fix them? This is my last sticking point for these ROMs and might be a dealbreaker making me head back to my last solid beanstalk 4.4rc1 release.

Only flash gapps and the Rom and that's it..... Will try reflashing the recovery and see if that fixes the issue.
Sent from my SGH-I317 using Tapatalk

So is this rom better than beanstalk? And can someone check if snapchat video recording works or its stops at 1 sec?

ROM is as good and imho smoother. There are a few little things missing, but they will probably be included in future updates. Snapchat video works but you need to set the quality to low. If you use standard you will only get 1 second. I've found this to be the case on all 4.4.2 ROMs I've tried.

I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM, EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to produce my own work of art.
Letter from Developer:
I just want to start off, by thanking all of the users who have been following and working with FactoryROM since it's recent release. As stated above, this is my first public AOSP ROM, built strictly from source and it has been quite an experience. Needless to say,
working by myself on this project was taking all of my free time, plus it started cutting into my work & family schedule (I have 3 boys ages 1 ,2 and 4). Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining by any means. I love this hobby, but I have to draw a line somewhere ( I have a hard time doing that sometimes). In order to continue to do what I do best, I decided to join Team Sourcery. If you have been in the dark, Team Sourcery develops a ROM called JBSourcery. JBSourcery has been built from the ground up and offers by far, more customization options than any ROM on the forums. It is going to be my job to create a more fluid User Interface among other things. I ask that you all give Sourcery a shot.. whether you have used Sourcery in the past or not, you are going to be in for a treat in the future releases. So whats happening with FactoryROM? I will continue to update the source of FactoryROM from Google and implement any changes that may occur up stream. I will try and post a weekly update as promised. I will not be adding any more custom features from now on. I hope everyone understands my situation, and I look forward to serving you with Team Sourcery.

Much, much, more.....
This is JUST THE START of a project that I have been working on. Basically I have a
very stable base with a great set of options to customize the phone to your personal
preference. I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM,
EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most
of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this
is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the
functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to
produce a work of art. The next step for FactoryROM is to include some of my own
settings and options, but first things first...

I will have to look into this issue.. I haven't heard any other complaints and it seems like some of the issues are device specific, where one person will have no issues and another person will.

am I right to assume that the file has gapps already? Since rom claims 4.2 apps, there's no need to flash gapps after flashing rom?

And does this ROM have customizable nabvar ring?

Yes gapps are included. The ROM is pretty damn fast too.
How many lock screen targets?

Kernel Source: IllusionProject

Always follow the OP through and through.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN UPDATE TO HELP, I'M OFF ALL DAY TODAY AND TOMORROW AND MONDAY LET ME KNOW WHILE I HAVE TIME TO UPDATE THIS POST
The Emulated /0 folder is always going to be there, save all sdcard stuff on a PC or some where else before flashing.
If things are acting weird, or you have things going on and don't see too many people reporting it.
Redownload rom and gapps
Wipe via factory reset
Wipe dalvik and cache
Format System (upon flashing rom it will do this automatically)
Then flash rom and gapps, then reboot system. (boot the rom and avoid any 3rd party kernelsat all costs... if issues arise after installing a custom kernel, do not report them here expecting help, it just clutters and makes the rom look no good.)
KNOWN ISSUES
Having headphones plugged in while ending a call will cause a reboot.
Google Music is causing reboots, I use power amp in the mean time, try other music apps if experiencing the reboots
Instagram has a large bug with all S3 and AOSP for taking video.
Focal is crazy buggy at the moment expect issues on all fronts for now.
Keep em coming if you find em and I can replicate I'll post them here.
Expect BlueTooth issues unfortunately. If fixes are around please post them.
LockScreen options are stored in Security
Also if having issues, boot into safe mode and see if issues still persist. Boot into safe mode by holding power button and long press on reboot. This will boot you into no 3rd party apps mode, basically. To get out of it, just reboot normally
To enable root go into Dev Options, scroll to "root access" select adb and apps.If you are having root issues still after this, flash this and it should be fixed. At least other users are reporting so... I don't have any root issues.
For Titanium backup do this go into Settings | Preferences | Backup | Folder location | Detect whole device | select legacy
To enable Developer Options, go to; settings|about phone|tap build number 7/8 times
to enable reboot options,(recovery, download) enable advanced reboot in Developer options
You must flash Gapps everytime you install the rom as it wipes system every time. Use the gapps in the original post, if you use other Gapps keep those errors to your self and address the person/dev that made those Gapps.
Other
Facebook/Instagram acts up and is weird?? Stop using the app.
Update system apps before saying things are broken. (Google Now)
If you decide to run a 3rd party kernel, take your issues about; speed, battery, and reboots to that thread, we cant change their kernel to make it better for you, they can. Thanks.
For cell data when idle it is a 3g icon, then switches don't cry it's normal.
BUNCH OF THEME APKS
This is a work in progress, I'll update it as needed FAQ PART

JellyBAM 7.X P930 4.2.2 ROM (Unofficial Discussion Thread)

Because of whatever happened in the past, JellyBam is not on XDA... however they produce a quality ROM for the P930 and it deserves a look. If having a discussion thread for it is bad juju, mods please lock this up. Please no politics or arguing about who did what in the past... let's just limit this thread to discussion about the ROM itself.
I am in no way associated with the JellyBam team.
That said, I'm getting fantastic performance and battery life out of version 7.1, and version 7.2 has now been released. Use with latest Wind or Quattrimus kernel for best results.
If you've used PAC-ROM, this one will be familiar... all the Paranoid Android stuff is there.
Changelog:

It's always nice to have another ROM option for us flashaholics, so have fun!
Had no luck dirty flashing 7.2. BSODs like crazy. Rolled back to my 7.1 backup until I have more time to do a full wipe.

I am able to flash 7.2 only after a full wipe but had stability issues still. Also the lock screen weather app kept showing invalid data?? Haven't seen any reported issues on the Jelly Bam website. I too rolled back to 7.1 next to perfect IMO. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to change the lock screen wallpaper unless anyone has any ideas?
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda app-developers app
I'm getting very good battery life with 7.1 and wind 1.7... The customization features in this rom are great but it seems like they left out some settings for the lock screen, such as change wallpaper and use menu button to unlock device... Does anyone know where I could find these options or are they simply just not available?
Thanks for starting this thread. Like I mentioned in the wind kernel discussion; a ROM+kernel combo with this kind of battery life shouldn't be hidden in these forum. I come here for all my android needs thinking it wasn't missing anything (at least anything major). Lesson learned
Again, +thanks for taking the time to put this thread up for us.

Anybody have any luck yet with 7.2? It appears they are already rolling out 7.3 to some devices; maybe it will resolve some of my issues in 7.2.

I did a full wipe then 7.3, so far all is good. Battery is awesome.
Hopefully all the Bluetooth fixes make it upstream to the CM source so this ROM gets them.
Jellybam 7.3 Progress
Only 1 bsod and a random reboot for me so far and great battery life with WIND kernel as always. I'm pretty sure the BSOD and reboot were user error though when I flashed 7.3 along with zelda sounds ( love the lock screen noise XD), bravia engine, and Acid sound and Wind almost back to back after I cleared the cashes. After couple reboots and cashe clears those things stopped dead in their tracks and worked their way out. Been up all night since I posted 7.3 so everything is great.
Although still can't figure out why it dims the screen out of nowhere lol, maybe its a setting? Oh well simple imperfection in a ocean of awesomness and everything just keeps getting better!
This is kinda off topic but anyone up for some Key Lime Bam! in the future haha? Maybe for another thread.
Why is it that with this rom using the stock keyboard "i" isn't auto corrected to "I" (press space after typing "i" and it just stays lowercase)...it's annoying the hell out of me. Worked fine with CM10.1 nightlies

As stated in my OP, exactly like Cyanogenmod.
It states that the CPU Sleeper init.d scripts are included, but what if I have the donated app/market paid?
Should I leave that app and stick to the init.d scripts u got? Or install, it wont affect but bolster the slrep mode?

Haha, I wasn't aware anyone really followed any of my work, but thank you for the kind words!
As for the CPU Sleeper script, I don't know because I haven't purchased it. But since you have purchased it, I'd recommend simply going into init.d and deleting CpuSleeper and using your premium app. The script should be okay, but you paid for an app you should use it!
I think it couldn't hurt to leave the scripts in it with the donations app.
Serious man, I follow what you post in here, you bloat out the ROM to bare minimum, and I look for those. Do far you are the only one that finds what I find and no one else.

Hey side! Were you on the old T-Mobile sidekick 4g as well?
Just curious, love your trimmed down apps. But the new t999L can't install this room due to the script. Could you update it for us? I'm away from my main pc on a business trip. Much thanks for your hard work.

Yeah I was there until people became ungreatful, so I gave the phone away to my cousin for free. I had my phone given back from developer bhundven and said quits with them. I mean, windxixi is doing a GB Rom over there now.
I actually don't know anything about the T999L and how to get it to work editing the scripts, I would appreciate anyone's help on the matter. Thank you!

Off topic but I must ask, what exactly was there to be ungrateful for?
EDIT: @chjema I'll edit the script for you and upload as long as Side is ok with it.

That the ROMs we were on were all the same because Samsung left us with the same kernel and firmware. I also ran into some problems for using openly available scripts..but that's a story not suited for the forum and if you must know via pm.
And I'm fine with any contribution to open source man. Thanks for the help, can you get it to work on both t999l and t999? I'll edit op with credit and make this ROM supported for both of the devices.
