Hello
Im using CM 10.1
And I am trying to turn off the front LEDs
If any of you could step by step me how to turn it off will appreciate
Also if you could give me advice on how to save battery
Thanks in advance
The front LED can be disabled by going to Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Button Backlight Brightness and set it to 0.
Saving battery is pretty simple. You can use Greenify to kill apps running in background and save RAM and battery. Turn off data when not in use, lower screen brightness are some of the things you can do as well.

Thank you sir that was so simple
As for greenify will give it a try
Do you have any Idea of what battery life I should expect ?
Thanks again

The battery life will depend on what apps you chose to hibernate, but I got a battery drop of 1% every 2 hours when I use network without data connection on the same ROM on standby.

Ok so ive installed alot of custom roms on my wildfire s and on all of them my battery life sucks. If im on wifi my battery goes down 10 to 15% in like 2 to 3 minuets. Do you guys think its because of the roms or i just need a new battery. Please help.
Type in the call menu : *#*#4636#*#* and go to battery menu.Wrote there all the informations.
Do you full charge your phone ?(about 2-3 hours)
Try to delete the batterystats.bin file via CWM.
If i helped you,click "Thank's" button.Have a nice day

10 - 15 % in 2 minutes? WTF?
Are you sure your battery isn't faulty?
Even in worst conditions my battery never drained that fast.
Anyways here are some tips:
-Charge phone to 100%
Go to CWM and delete battery stats.
- Dial: *#*#4636#*#*
Go to phone information, In preffered network type Select GSM auto PRL.
- Use juice defender or something which would turn off wifi whenever its not being used.
- Make sure all the accounts aren't set to push as it takes a lot of battery.
- End processes by going to Apps-> Running services.
- Don't use heavy widgets on homescreen or launchers.
- Brightness to auto and timeout time must be less.
I could remember just these. But I guess if it's true that your battery is draining that fast most probably your battery is faulty. Get a new one.
sounds like a faulty battery.
Kill/Uninstall Apps
Yeah, I had this problem :/
What I did was
- download a battery saver app, It closes mobile networks when you're not using them.
- Set the screen to a low but visible setting
- Uninstall some of the memory draining apps
- and kill some of the RAM munching apps.
Hope this works :L
ill try some of them
Don't download a battery saver app, it'll just use cpu cycles and battery even more.
Manually turn off mobile data and wifi when you're not using them.
Don't overclock.
Lower your screen brightness.
And ultimate solution, get an extended battery.
-----------
"You can overclock as much as you want, your phone will always seem too slow."
What kind of charger are you using to charge the battery? If the charger's voltage and Amp's out put is higher then what the phone can take it could be over charging your phone and charging your phone way to fast. If your charger is normal then I would invest in a new battery, a o.e.m battery is good.
i;m on cm 10.1 M3 and my battery running out very fast. On data connection something about 30% in 1h. And its charging very fast full battery in 1h. Can someone help me?

Dirty Flash?
Low signal area?
From what I know 4.22 has about 1 hour less screen on time than 4.12. Then again, I think we all here can drain about 30% battery in a hour, if we wanted to. What exactly are you doing in that 1 hours time.
battery isn't what it used to be.
4.1.2 was much better battery wise
Some solutions
you can try apps like:
greenify which hibernates background apps and some other apps which are hibernated as your phone goes in standby. (Root)
Ds battery saver which will turn off wifi when the phone is on standby.
Cpu sleeper which turns off one core when phone is on standby (Root)
Battery Calibration (Root)
Lux auto brightness which adjust the brightness and is battery efficient
You can under clock or under volt or even change your screens colour settings. (Root)
Hope these apps and tips help
While i acknowledge that most of battery life is determined by the actions of the user and what apps they use, some ROM/Kernel combos just have notoriously crap battery life regardless of how you cut it. I have found that 10.1 and its stock kernel are one of those instances. Hell, even while using a different kernel and great settings i still have been unable to get the same kind of battery as i can with other combos. Personally, EOS is the complete package of customizability and battery life out of the box for me. Perhaps you should give it a shot. CyanogenMod is just far too dirty.

All good except for Battery Calibration. That app, and others that operate on the same premise are 100% snake oil. And end user can do the exact same thing that the app does simply by unplugging their phone from the charger after a full or near-full charge. It in no way, shape, or form touches anything related to battery life or battery charge indication.

I'm currently running 4.1.2 stock, rooted. With Locked BL. The battery drain has been absolutely shocking. Help
Download from play store this app: Du Battery Saver&Switch Widget! I have this app since last week and it really works...
People in here are right. Greenify it's more than enough. But also Du Battery Saver can do the trick, what's great about it is that is lowering your CPU frequency when screenlock, so try them out.

Use screen settings as low as possible. Trust me, thats the main cause of fast battery drain.
Use Lux auto brighteness. Its a good app.
Next one , use titanium backup to freeze the app that you are not using. Its always a good to freeze app, so it wont run in the background and u can save RAM.
Use greenify. Thats the best app for hibernating the apps. That way both battery and RAM is saved.
And use DU battery Saver , thats also an awesome app. in which u can set the phone to change your profile on time basis, and lower frequency of cpu when screen is locked so battery is saved.
Hope u got some ways to prevent battery drain to a limit
Those apps are all great, but why have a HD Screen phone when you have to lower the screen brightness to a minimum, that sucks.

It's very simple, at du battery select saver at the bottom and create your own custom mode!
Thank you all for the responses, I will try out all the suggested apps and get back to you all. Thank you!
Keep the brightness around 35%. I find it perfect for indoors. Your screen on time should be atleast between 2:30 to 3 hrs on average.
Use darker wallpapers
And underclock to 1.2ghz or something if you dont use resource hungry apps. Use conservative governor and noop scheduler.
Trinity ROM
Screen brightness at 35%
Stamina mode on
Using greenify
Only 2G networks
Moderate Wi-Fi usage
Default CPU frequencies
Also, don't use battery savers like go battery saver and battery doctor, they only turn down brightness and data networks, alot of them don't have a great effect in battery life. Use apps that freeze/hibernate apps like greenify and snapdragomln battery guru.

so i did realise that you had your screen on alot of the time.... that is generaly 1 reason why , i can watch 8 hours straight of movies on my XS where as on a stock rom about 3 hours , so the XS battery realy depends
list
sometimes the battery will just need to be used normaly just so it can calibrate its self (some weird reason not using my XS for 2 days fixed my battery issues)
i suggest checking if there are any apps that run in the background, just remove them if you dont need them (could prevent your XS from sleeping and also a posible overheat)
I also suggest making sure that your brightness isnt too high, (obviess)
the more you use your XS the shorter the battery lasts day by day, it is nessicary to not use your xs too much as it will take a few days for the life to go back to normal ,(like i said i had a simular issue)
I can see a strange behavior of Mediaserver process. It consumes too much battery. Usually it points to the problem with scanning your media files.
You can use BetterBatteryStats to find out the cause of it.

If you are running stock the on STAMINA mode. Also turn down brightness, turn off GPS and Bluetooth. Then see.
*blink*
yes, i'm experiencing the same, coc draining baterry a lot, if you're using wifi, try to switch the phone to flight mode and turn on wifi, if not, make sure your signal reception good, if the reception poor, it'll cost you more power.
a simple advice is don't play it whole time, just play it when necessary

There is an app called Greenify.. Try It. . It will be very helpful to increase battery life. .
Play games with airplane mode (if no internet is needed), use stamina mode, turn brightness down, keep volume low/ untick xloud in settings > sound (might not notice a difference), untick "touch sounds"/"vibrate on touch", kill processes of apps you're not using when playing the game, and untick "use suto rotate screen" in settings > accessibility
I ll advice you guys to stop playing CoC.. ?

Maybe you need double power battery
in CM12.x, go to setting/batterry/battery saver. and you'll get performance and multitasking and battery saved..
Hy guys .. can anyone tell me is any ultra power saving mod is available for one plus 3 or not like samsung galaxy s6 type of.. or how can save battery other then the stock power saving mode...
:good: thanks in advance
In OOS, you will find the standard battery saving mod. Use less mobile data and more Wi-Fi, control the sync duration, use medium brightness etc. these could help you with battery life. For me, this is the best battery life i have seen in any phone i have used.
I think its called turning off the phone.
