For some reason Google Maps (v7.5.0) has stopped recognising the data connection on my GT-N7100. It's running stock Android 4.1.2 (baseband version N7100XXDMF1). Other apps (browser, Gmail, etc) have no problem using the data connection, but when I try searching for a location in Maps it just hangs for a few minutes then says "No Network Connection".
I've tried stopping and starting the data connection (I'm with Ovivo mobile), and also completely rebooting the phone, but neither helped. The Maps app has been working fine up until today.
Any ideas?

Hello everyone,
I am using the GSM Galaxy Nexus, with official yakju 4.1.1 jelly bean rom.
The problem is that when i use Wifi(shared over Connectify) i can use internet in the browser, and sync accounts but i cant access neither google now nor play store.. Give network error or connection timed out.. I haven't tried on 3g yet cuz i dont have a working 3g connection.. The wifi signal bars never turn blue..
It was working when i first bought it(yakjuxw 4.0.2, updated to 4.0.4) and it was even working fine when i first installed yakju 4.1.1.. But after awhile it just stooped updating google now and play store was inaccessible..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Edit: I already have tried clearing cache for google.service.framework and restarting and even hard reset doesnt help...
Post a screen shot of connectify and your internet config(how you connect your computer to the internet, wire or wireless)
I have a Galaxy S3 that will not connect to my Exchange 2010 server using ActiveSync. The phone is an ATT GS3, v 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. I have troubleshooted and found out it works over an Outside WIFI connection (not internal company network wifi), but does not work over the mobile network 4g. I have tried clearing the cache, rebooting, and using different credentials but I still receive "Cannot connect to server" over 4G.
I have an identical S3 that connects fine over both. Any ideas?
Resetting the Exchange Services (clearing data) made it give me a different error when I try now:
" activation failed. unable to connect to network. Try again with network providers default APN."
I've tried resetting this to default and it all matches the working S3.
For the future:
It was a setting under "Data Usage" and then under "Email" at the very bottom that restricted Data to WIFI on the email app.
I have a zenfone 2 with cyanogenmod 12.1 which is android version 5.1.1. However I installed it to try and get rid of the issue no luck, the same problem existed on stock. The security method of the WiFi is wpa-tkip, using EAP. There's another wireless point but it gives an authentication error so I can't even try it. It does not happen on the WiFi at my parents house, nor does it happen on 4g. The phone goes increasingly slower until it gets basically unusable until Google play services and gapps stop responding and close. Is there anyway to fix this? My phone becomes unusable using the school's WiFi, and Google play services and gapps force closed twice while typing this. It only happens while connected to my college's WiFi, 4g and an unpassworded WiFi connection does not encounter this issue.
Try changing DNS in advanced setting of your wifi connection to googles DNS 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
Wait for 5 minutes after connecting to network as some apps detect network changes and respond to that.
Try to find such apps if possible.Install adaway.
Hey Guys,
my phone keeps telling me, that i have no internet over wifi. And when I start Apps (Google Play Store, Youtube or non Google-Apps) I do not get any internet connection. But most times, I have internet via the browser.
I went back from a rooted phone to plain stock. But the failure is still here...
What I recognized: When I connect the phone to wifi, it shows several seconds an "X". After about 20 seconds it dissapeares. I never had that before. So i tried to google it and found out that a "Wifi Keeper" should work. I installed the "Best Wifi Keeper" App and said, "Keep Wifi enabled". Interestingly, after about 20 Min, it always shows an Error and says "Wifi can't be activated". So it looks like the Wifi deactivates itselves (It on "Always On" in setting") but the icon shows that it is connected. Even rebooting the phone sometimes doesn't help...
Do you have any idea?
Thanks
Okay, now i found smth new
ONLY google.com works. Nothing else, as long as i am in a wifi. Mobile Data is fine... All other devices work, several wifis tested... What is wrong with that phone ????
Hey guys,
I got the 8GB/256GB AL00 model and all is well except one annoying thing!
When I'm on Mobile Data connection (3G. 4G) everything works fine but when I'm on WiFi some programs do not refresh and saying there are connection issues...
For instance Google Maps will not load the map on WiFi but will on 4G without any issues. some apps will not load lists of people (dating apps for instance) while some other Apps and games work without any issues. My other phone (Xiaomi Mi Mix2) has no such problems with the WiFi and same apps on the same WiFi networks/
I've tested that on different WiFi Routers over different networks in different countries even. Same thing...
Ideas?
After some reading I finally decided to factory reset the phone.
After setting it up, everything seems to be OK now. I guess when the seller installed Google Play store initially, something went wrong...
Happy camper now
