Flash CF auto root using Odin... And the device will boot afterwards...
Simply pull the battery to stop the firmware error message... Then replace it and boot into download mode...
Then use the CF file...
The device will boot itself... g

I've tried flashing with Odin the MJ5 bootloader. Also, I've tried flashing the wifi fix supplied from Dr.Ketan, again with no success. In one of those attempts flashing failed, as indicated by Odin. Now all I get is this warning: "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try again."
Can't do anything else, no recovery and no download mode. Help?! :/

I think you should flash the oficial 4.3 bootloader again.. but i am not sure..
BTW, after you fix this, try chainfire auto-root and not the bootloader patch to root the device

You can't do much except updating/recovering through kies

I tried to go back to stock using the Galaxy Note2 ToolKit V4.1.0/Odin. While Odin was flashing the stock image about 15% through it failed. My phone was stuck in download mode, and no matter what I tried I couldnt get out so I had to pull the battery. Now I cant get into recovery (guessing its gone) and when I try to power on or go into recovery my phone says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try again. Now ToolKit cant do anything, it just gets stuck on waiting for USB debugging to be enabled.
Is there anything I can do or is it toast?
Try flashing the firmware again. It should help.
Hit thanks if I helped!!

I tried several times
Does anyone have a link to the original stock .tar? Im trying to download it from samsung but its extremely slow and won't finish for a couple hours. I think I can put my phone into download mode and flash it straight from Odin.
Then try doing what it says. Go to recovery using kies and flash..

I cant get to kies...my phone has no rom, no recovery...the only thing I can access is download mode,
EDIT: Fixed it. Thanks for the replies.
So basically here's the back story, I downloaded cwm for my friends galaxy grand i9082, and I flashed it in odin, I did everything but for some reason the flash failed at "nand write start" and now all I can do is either go into download mode or, if I just press the power button, it goes into kies emergency firmware recovery mode. I really don't know what to do, is there any way to fix this without connecting to kies?? And if I have to to the emergency firmware recovery will it erase all the data on the phone?? Please help!!

PS. I was using Odin 3.07

This could have happened because of communication problems or driver problems, usually this happens when your device get disconnected during the process.
Or you try to flash Philz Recovery via Odin..Go tho this link and download the latest http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/i9082
If you can successfully install this recovery(any CWM recovery), you can boot back in..
If that fails,
Download the original stock firmware for GT-I9082 and flash it via Odin. (I recommend dont go for the latest build of JB 4.2.2)
I flashed TWRP onto my phone and it went fine and I flashed a rom and it was all going good. But now it's stuck on a screen that says " Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again." but when I try to use kies it can't find a device. I've tried flashing a custom recovery again and resetting my phone but I can't get any of that to work. Any tips?
Odin flash the stock firmware first and start over?

That means you have a knox enabled bootloader and that bootloader is expecting a matching or newer firmware to be flashed.

What do I need to do to fix it? What firmware should I flash for the tmobile variant. and afterwards can I still root and flash a custom rom?
Try flashing 4.3 or 4.4 from sammobile:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Yes you can still root with cf autoroot. And you will be able to flash a custom ROM.

I was attempting to upgrade the Hyperdrive ROM from RLS15 to RLS17 as it notified me there was an update available. I went through all of the steps in CWM and Aroma and everything seemed to install properly but now when I try to load the phone I get the Samsung Galaxy logo and then it goes to a distorted blue screen and freezes. I can not boot into recovery but I can get to the bootloader to try to fix this with Odin. I just don't know what files I need to fix this or what I need to do. Can anyone help me? I was originally on M919UVUFNB4 before I flashed Hyperdrive RLS15.
You can get the 4.4.2 firmware here:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
That's what you're on if you were on nb4.
Use Odin to flash back to stock while in download mode.
Then you can start your rooting adventure over again.
