[Q] new 4.3 update - lock screen notifications questions - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

with this update when I receive a missed call, txt, email etc it shows up at the top of the screen as a notification and shows some of the text. when i press it, thinking it`ll expand i just get a large empty box pop up on the below half of the screen, with no further data, in this box i can unlock the phone, outside of the box just reverts back to the normal lock screen with the notification.
pretty annoying - can it be disabled?

[Q] turn off sms pop notification

Is there a way to turn off the incoming SMS notifications that pop up at the top of the screen?
I don't know how to turn it off, but you can swipe it left or right and it will go away

[Q] standard text message when declining a call

Guys,
I want to ask a question... with the screen on, when I get a phone call, I can push the menu button to send a text message with a standard text like "I'm busy right now, I call you later"...
- is there a way that I can change this text?
When my screen is off, and the sense 3 lockscreen kicks in when I receive a phonecall, I only got two options, answer or decline... Is there a way to get the menu button to work for me with the text message as mentioned above? This would especially come in handy, because I usually get phonecalls with the screen off...
any ideas, tips, tricks etc?
many thanks in advance
to change the default text menu>settings>call>phone settings>edit default message.
your right about no menu if incoming call when screen off! fix needed

[Q] Messages in pop-up window

After Lollipop update, when the screen is on, incoming Hangouts and WhatApp messages are popping up over any open window and message text is displayed on the screen for several seconds. Anybody who is looking at your screen at this moment can easily read the it.
Could anybody point me in the right setting please, so I can disable these pop-ups?

lock screen owner info vs notifications

If I enable notifications to be shown on the lock screen, my owner information gets overwritten on the screen and cannot be viewed. But if I disable lock screen notifications, then I don't even get message icons in the lock screen notification bar. (I'm using the Google Now launcher, if it matters.)
I suppose I could just tape my owner info to the back of the phone. That would have the benefit of continuing to work even if the battery drains. Still, it's slightly annoying to have this new conflict from the Lollipop upgrade.

[Nougat] notification problems

Good evening
Yesterday (finally) I upgraded my nexus to Android 7.0, I made a clean installation (factory reset from marshmallow, new wipe from fastboot and flash firmware) Everything works great except for notifications that are unbearable.
If im responding to a message using the quick replay and a new message arrives the keyboard is closed and the written text gets lost.
If I remove the notification with a swipe, it will appears again repeated every 5 minutes.
When there are grouped messages (Ex. Telegram groups or whatsapp) they are not displayed grouped together, but It is shown only the first or the last message arrived. If I remove the notification with a swipe, when a new message arrives repeatedly reappears me the initial message notification.
Code:
Example: Messages in a group: FriendA: TEXT1, FriendB: TEXT2, FriendC: TEXT3
In the notification only appears the FriendA's message as if it were a single message.
If I remove the notification and FriendD writes TEXT4 , the notification of FriendA comes to me again.
How can I fix these annoying issues?
Hi! Did you solve this?
I have exactly the same problems and questions.
Furthermore, I have another question. If I set the Notifications options in "Show silently" for Whatsapp , I dont get any notification (no sound, no led) when a message incomes.
The "show silently" option is supposed to work when the screen is on and you dont want to see the incoming messages to appear at the top; but in my case, the "show silently" is muting all the notifications even when the screen is off.
