Problem with Thetering and Mobile HotSpot

Hello,
I buy a Samsung S2 T-989 locket in T-Mobile. I buy an unlocking IMEI code and it worked perfectly. My problem is that when i try to use Thetering and Mobile HotSpot i receive the message "Mobile data is not available or invalid SIM". The only problem is "invalid SIM" because i have internet. What can i do to fix this problem?

Need more info.. stock/root/custom rom? Are you on T-mo? What plan are you on? If you have the new unlimited, then it does not include tethering. Does your interweb work normally? If you are not on T-mo, the stock hotspot app will most likely not work and/or you need to change your network settings for whatever carrier you are using if not T-mo.

i'm from România and i use Cosmote network. my phone is stock. where is the setings are you talking about? maibe i can change them.

Go aplications / all ... here find tetheringprovision and deactivate it

[Q] selected network not available

Hi guys, please I need your help. I buy a galaxy note II (second hand) and I inserted my sim chip, after that I did calls and visite web sites with data 3G. but after update to android 4.3 my cell not getting network it continusly sayin the selected network not available
When I try register my device in the cell network, aperar a message that says :" divice registered" but When I go bak to do a call, the message still appear "Not Service, network selected (AIRTEL) not available
plllzz plzzzz can anyone help me on this

What is the model #? Which ROM is it running? Tried a factory reset?

[Q] Boost Phone Thinks it is Still a Sprint Phone

I rooted my S4 Mini (SPH-L520) phone using the procedures found here: http://androidxda.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s4-mini-sprint-sph-l520
This allowed it to be flashed to Boost. Talk/text/web/MMS all work.
However, I have three problems that appear to be related to the phone thinking it is still on the Sprint network:
First, I keep getting a sim card error that says, "The network did not respond in time. The SIM card has locked. Please power cycle the device and if the problem persists contact Customer Service.”
Second, I keep getting a "MIP 67" error.
Third, I can’t get a WiFi Hotspot program to work. The programs will start, but within a minute I get "Unable to connect to data network, turning off Hotspot. Your plan may not have the Hotspot service. Do you want to see subscription options?" If I click OK, it tells me "Network is not available." and ". . .dial *2 from your Sprint phone or call Customer Care. . ." Tethering with Boost worked fine with my old phone (TP2).
Is there anything I can do to fix these problems?

I saw something about changing APN settings on a GSM phone. Does that apply to CDMA phones as well, and might that provide a solution?

I'm getting the same errors, 67 and 89. It thinks it's still on Sprint, it was already running on PAGEPLUS, then lost it.

Hey guys i bought a used note 3 off my buddy and unlocked it. Its originally an at&t phone but now im using tmobile sim card. making calls and wifi work but when i turn the wifi off i have no internet. Ive done a factory reset and still nothing.. can someone pls help

Perhaps you simply ran out of data with whatever plan you have on Tmobile.
Or perhaps you should call Tmobile and ask them why you have no data.
You need data to get internet without wifi.
What ever the problem is, it has nothing to
do with the fact that the phone is unlocked.

Set up apns? Stock they will only have att apn you'll need to manually add tmobile and select it

I have a AT&T carrier unlocked S3 Rooted stock KitKat 4.4.2 on F/W UCUFNJ2, I'm using Straight Talk 4G sim card. A lady friend that has a Sprint as her carrier and I have another that has a ST S3 it's on the sprint network, every time I get a MMS message from them it comes though as a big yellow box that tells the size and when it expires, When I tap to download the message it say's message has failed. I pulled my sim card and installed it in my backup iphone 4s and the picture and message downloads fine, I have searched google for a fix but have found nothing to help with this problem. Does anyone know of this issue or has fixed it. I also searched here but no results.

I only get that type of response when my data is turned off.
Since you are using a Straight Talk sim, another possibility is that the APN settings are not correct. The sim should have instructions on what the correct settings are. The ST APN settings can also be found on the ST website.

All my APN settings are good, all the mms I get from others come in fine. The olny ones that I cant get are the ones from Sprint . The others I get I dont have to download the pic's are open and the text is good, but when I get one from the 2 people that have sprint come as a download when tapped the error I get says download failed.

DEFAULT, MMS, SUPL
These have worked fine for the people I know that have AT&T & Verzen. I guess I'll keep searching for a fix. Thanks anyway.

You will have problems with that due to incompatible sim card. Trust me. It still works with everything else, doesn't it.
