Hi all,
I have Arc S with Stock ICS, Unlocked boot-loader and relocked again with a tool I found on this forum. Root access using this tutorial: androidauthority.com/xperia-arc-s-lt18i-root-bootloader-unlock-custom-recovery-76876/
My problem is: I used Titanium Backup to freeze Track ID system app. After this my phone just won´t boot and get stuck on Xperia logo screen. I have CMW installed and I can boot on It using Menu Key + Vol Down. But I don't know what to do to repair my phone.
Can you guide me?
As you can see, I'm new here so don't be afraid of using a lot of details and I will appreciate.
(Non-native English speaker so excuses for my grammar).
Flash FTF again.
Sent from my LT15i using Tapatalk 2
Tanks for the response but I will need more details since I'm totally new at this. A quick search on Google send me to a lot of tutorials but I have some questions and don't want to render my phone useless.
My model is a LT18a and all references on tutorials are for model LT18i. Also, is It possible to find a stock 4.0.3 (4.1.A.0.562) stock rom to install?
If someone send me the Track ID System APK I can put it on the SD Card and try to reinstall it with CMW. Do you think this would work?
when you unlock your bootloader, u lose the DRM keys that can ever be regained.hence no use installing track id once again.now, you need to use flashtool to flash a custom firmware.for that,
1) download flashtool from here and install it and update it to the latest version
2) now download the compatible firmware from the given link and download it
3) now go to flashtool and on the left top side, you will find an icon with a lightning strike on it. hit that
4) click on flashmode and then follow the onscreen instructions.
5) now enter the flashmode (will be shown on screen)
6) wait for the flashing to complete and now reboot.

hello,i have a small probelm i tried to root the sony xperia s i make all the stages unlock bootloader, install the cmw recovery mode, install the gapps on sd card but i install wrong rom in sd card i thought is the cm10.1 but is nothing and now my phone stack there on recobery mode i cant install the rom what can i do pls help me.
If u have the stock ftf means just flash it via flashtool.. And for ur knowledge u can better flash a custom kernel with cwm recovery if u have a unlocked bootloader...
Just flash the stock ftf file and then search for a good custom kernel.. And flash it. U will have root and also cwm recovery.... But pls note that ur bootloader should be unlocked...
I preferring Stock + kernel... Using it for a long time.. No problem yet.. Good battery life...

From My Xperia S with XZX 2
thanks for reply
but how i can flash it
You need to flash official ftf firmware for ur model using flashtool first.. After that extract the kernel zip and take out the .elf file and flash it via fastboot mode in flashtool

Root Xperia ZL with Latest .244fw
I Take no credit for this I have done zero development work
All credits to the great @DooMLoRD
This is a just a Guide telling how to implement his method
Requirement
Latest Flashtool https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hAoiy5gSGVZU5zOHU4TFdJTkk/preview
latest Ftf file for fw .244
Ftf file for fw .423
Latest DoomLord Rootinf Kit v18 (no else would work in this case) http://www76.zippyshare.com/v/29480564/file.html
Make sure device is on latest .244 fw (If not then wait for the official update)
NOTE: We need complete file only to flash the Kernel.sin & Loader.sin
OR
Use the files provided by me which contain the required files only (easier method)
These kernel files are from C6502 if you have another device they might not work. In that case use the complete FTF files for your device and root using complete ftf method
Latest .244 file https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hAoiy5gSGVcDI4di1YTnNYSkU/edit?pli=1
Older fw.423 file https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hAoiy5gSGVbmtOY2lyMUc0OXM/edit?pli=1
How (Using complete ftf packages)
Flash only the kernel.sin & loader.sin from older .423ftf package using FlashTool
Uncheck all wipe options
Check all exclude option EXCEPT Exclude Kernel
Now flash this using flashtool
Reboot the device and make sure USB Debugging & Unknown Sources are allowed in settings
Now root using the latest DoomLord Kit v18 (No other version of kit will work)
Turn Off the Device and put in Flash Mode (Press Volume Down while attaching usb cable)
Now open the latest .244ftf package and repeat the check and uncheck process as earlier
Flash only the Kernel.sin & Loader.sin
Reboot the Device
Done !!
OR
How (Using given ftf files) EASIER WAY
These kernel files are from C6502 if you have another device they might not work. In that case use the complete FTF files for your device and root using complete ftf method
Flash the .423 kernel ftf package using FlashTool
Reboot the device and make sure USB Debugging & Unknown Sources are allowed in settings
Now root using the latest DoomLord Kit v18 (No other version of kit will work)
Turn Off the Device and put in Flash Mode (Press Volume Down while attaching usb cable)
Now open the latest .244kernel ftf package and flash it
Reboot the Device
Done !!
I take no responsibility for any kind of damage to your Phone
Do all this at your own risk
Thankyou @DooMLoRD for your great work
This is the 3rd post on the same thing (excluding Doomlord's original).
Thx so much, I was looking for this, I will do as soon as I get home ^_^

Anyway, no going back now. At the very worst, I'll just have to flash tfts in the future; not that much of a hassle now that I discovered
Yes

you can root again in 4.3 re-lockable bootloader
*#*#7378423#*#* check your bootloader is unlocked or unlocked allowed
there is another method is there to root 4.3 and also in lock bootloader without downgrade to 4.1/4.2
I'm trying now to flash ftf excluding system and without wiping data and it is still loading

without wiping system wont work on your phone becouse you modified system app

and you said bootloader unlock allowed then follow my steps(unlock & relock) on next post

Indeed It is still in boot loop but is there no way to access the device and change permissions without having to flash !!!
EDIT :I mean what about adb and fastboot
4.1/4.2/4.3 root for unlocked allowed bootloader may works on all xperia m varient
first check *#*#7378423#*#* service info ->configuration "bootloader unlock allowed yes" then continue
you need
4.3 ftf (for stock kernel & loder.sin to unlock bootloader)
flashtool
Root App supersu.rar
cwm kernel
steps
first place supersu.rar in your hone externel card
then open flash tool connect your phone in flashmode(volume up + connect usb)then click BLU button
if u get error that loder.sin missing then extract loder.sin from 4.3 ftf and place in correct place
then unlock bootloader
now root your phone using this method
now to relock bootloader
once again connect phone in flashmode then click BLU (relock success)
now to stock kernel
once again connect phone in flashmode click flash button and select 4.3 ftf
now untick wipe data & cache
and also tick all in exclude part except kernel (which means flash kernel only)
and click flash alone
thats all:good::good::good:
