Note 2 no LTE after OTA to 4.3 - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I updated my note 2 (SGH-T889V) to 4.3 via the Ota update and now I can't get LTE only 3g. I reentered all the APN info and still only 3g .
Any ideas?

Unlocked LTE on new OTA update?

Has anyone tried an AT&T Sim Card with the new OTA Update with MultiWindow? Still No LTE, just HSPA+?

Lost LTE

I lost LTE yesterday and I can't get it back. I've tried Odin back to stock and that didn't help I've tried a few different modems and that didn't work. The APN's I have tried have been both the ATT Phone and ATT PTA. My GS3 still gets LTE. Confused
Anyone have any suggestions??

Edit I swapped my note 2 sim and my gs3 sim and the sim that was in the note worked fine in my gs3. So that tells me its not an issue with my sim. I doubt its an issue with my radio since I still get data (hspa and utms) just not lte. Is there something software that could have got disabled????
Went from bad to worse no baseband no imei so att here I come. Flashed perseus kernel then installed triangle away reset flash counter and flashed stock MA4 via odin...

unlocked phone get OTA update on different network

Cant seem to get a concrete answer anywhere. I Sim unlocked my tmobile note 3 and I'm currently running it on the ATT network. Will I get OTA updates from Tmobile still or just nothing at all?

I
If you're running a completely stock rom (no root or recovery) you will get updates still.

If you are rooted, your phone will attempt to download OTA updates but most likely they wont install and you will lose root. This happens on the S3 and S4... so N3 shoulnt be any different.

If your phone is NOT rooted and if you have the stock firmware in the phone then:
You will only get updates for AT&T if you have an AT&T activated sim card in the phone.
Without a activated Tmobile sim card in the phonoe you will never get tmobile updates.
Good luck!
Thats what I figured, if it is Tmobile, you will get the ATT update, and that might be an issue. I am watching the forums for any post of an OTA, then will swap cards back.
There is no way that tmo phone will accept att ota even with active att sim on it. Ota checks phone model and att ota wont show at all on tmobile phone. You can always download latest update from samsung website

So is the simple solution just to use Samsung Kies? I bought a 2nd hand Galaxy S5 and it had been on O2 but unlocked. I'm now using it on EE (I'm in the UK). Will Kies let me do an in place upgrade without having to wipe?
so would my unlocked Verizon Google Pixel phone get the Android 9.0 PIE update when i'm using a MetroPCS sim ?

Apn and firmware update?

OK so im using an ATT Galaxy s3 (i-747) on T-Mobile's network, and as of late i havent been able to create a new APN. i was wondering if there was anyway to fix this.
and i have a question about my firmware update. Why cant i update my firmware via Wi-Fi, mobile network, or Kies?

Unlocked SGH-T999L on ATT

Good Afternoon,
I currently have an unlock SGH-T999L with 4.1.2 and MD5 baseband. My current issue is that I get 4G once I put the ATT sim card but i dont get LTE. Does anyone have configuration modification to get LTE on a LTE Tmobile phone?
Looks like you have a T999 not T999L based on your baseband.. That device does not support lte so you will not pick up lte with it

My apologies I have the MB7 baseband which is the one for the T999L
Alright, on the apn make sure it reads fast.t-mobile.com, everything else should be fine how it is.. Should pick up lte after that
Edit: my mistake, you need the at&t lte APN make sure it is the correct one

I put the right settings and its proven that even if you put a Tmobile LTE phone on ATT network the most you will get is 4g
Any update on this? Just bought a T999L to use with my ATT Straight Talk SIM card, got it unlocked and HSDPA is working fine. Is not connecting to LTE though, unless I force it using *#*#4696#*#*. At that point, it shows LTE by the signal bar, but I have no data and it says "Emergency Calls Only". After a few seconds it goes back to H+ and everything works again.
I can't think of any technical reason why the phone won't work on AT&T's network, unless AT&T has blocked non-AT&T IMEI numbers?

wow sorry i took so long I just saw this... Its just the APN settings that the AlL things ATT says... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2616221 like post #4 I think... APN settings make sure you flash the newest modem for your service provider (modem will not change bootloader) and flash the ATT modules also..l. and Kernel depending on what phone you have and what service your using.... I now am on an S4 I337 ATT on ATT but was running a Tmobile app the Sickness , deadly venom, dark carnage.... they all work together.... just flash rom the kernel if needed and always flash modules for your baseband so if your supposed to be on NJ4 att kk 4.4.4 flash the NJ4 modules... and so on... sorry hope this helps
