Being the cheapskate I am, I was using a 1st gen Nexus 7 screen protector cut to fit the new Nexus 7. It's safe to say the amFILM screen protector was a step up.
First it's worth mentioning the screen protector was in a good stiff cardboard holder. Protects it from bends during shipping. It's good to see this as a lot of cheaper screen protectors are just sent in an envelope from ebay.
It comes with quite a bit of nice accessories. The microfiber is good in size and quality. It's better than the small cheap ones thats usually included. It also comes with a squeegee and lint remover/hinge stickers. The lint remover/hinge stickers are meant for any dust you can see on the screen before applying or used as a hinge for applying the film.
Also for the noobies to applying screen protectors, it has step by step directions for best results. The have instructions for 2 methods. Hinge method (what the stickers are for) and regular method.
There is a single cutout for the light sensor and camera. It's a perfect fit on the screen, good feel, no loss in touch sensitivity of the tablet, no rainbow effects and not to sticky when swiping your finger across it. Super Clear and can barely tell there is a protector on it.
Overall I'm very happy with it. Great customer service and lifetime warranty! Whats not to like?

How does the protector feel when in use, does it have a lot of grip or is it nice and smooth?

its a great protector. So much better than the cheapies from ebay
This protector is fairly large so there isn't a huge margi. Of error when applying. However they have a 30 day money back guarantee and are willing to send you more protectors if you have trouble.
I bought a tech armor sp (as a spur of the moment sort of thing) when it comes in I'll write up a review

Thanks for the review. I've had the amfilm SP on for about a week and I seem to be experiencing a bit of touch response interference. It seems to get worse when there are a lot of smudges on the screen. Luckily that only happens... All the time because the trade off with this SPs great clarify is its penchant for fingerprints.
Anyone else having touch response problems? I'm close to removing the sp altogether to see if the responsiveness returns or if there's a deeper delay issue with hardware. My guess is the SP is at fault.
That said, it installed easy, has great clarity, and was at a great price point. Hard to beat 2 for $7... amazon prime helps, too.
Yup, awesome products at a GREAT price!! I used nothing but Ghost Armor for years. After trying TechMatte though, that's all I'm buying from here on out. I've got their screen protectors on my N7 FHD and Note 3. I also use their Qi Receiver in my Note 3, as well as their car mount. All excellent products!

I'm looking for a screen protector that fully covers the front screen. I've indicated the most common areas that are not covered by various screen protectors out there:

I'd like at least areas A, C, and D covered. Can anyone recommend a good film for this? I don't want any of the soft films like BSE or Zagg that will easily indent with regular stylus use. Like most other users, I'd prefer something with minimal rainbow effect, good image clarity, and fingerprints that are easy to wipe off (I don't mind fingerprints but I'd like to be able ot easy wipe them off - oleophobic coatings are a bit extreme IMO). I've read a bunch of reviews here on xda and other forums of different SPs but each one seems to have one major drawback or doesn't cover the screen like I'd prefer. Any suggestions?
Anyone?
SGP GLAS.t. Hands down the best. Trust me I have tried them all and wasted too much money in the process.
It covers the areas you want, its oleophobic, and I have found absolutely no faults after 2 months.
Its a tad expensive, but you are paying for what you get, and that is the best.

I have a friend using spg glas t. It won' t affect the sensitivity. I want it for my note but its abit expensive for me.. But i would definitely save up for it coz its a good investment to protect our precious notes..
It was the one thing that made me sceptical as well, but it doesn't affect the SPen at all and I use it at least once a day.

thanks! worth a shot then instead of blowing money on the different softer SPs to find the "perfect" one
anything but the oleophobic sgp. Total waste of money. I got the exact same results from a £1 protector both in grease resistant property and screen visibility.
SGP Samsung Galaxy Note Screen Protector GLAS.t Premium Tempered Glass Series
Bought this "SGP Samsung Galaxy Note Screen Protector GLAS.t Premium Tempered Glass Series" yesterday, for 30 quid. First time I ever invested 30 quid for a screen protector. But its worth it.
I agree with all those that said the Glass.t. I installed it yesterday and its amazing. Full protection just as you want. The clarity is just fantastic. It is expensive but I'm sure it will last and keep your phone looking like new.
The idea of having the best and ultimate protection for our phones is great and luckily, X Gear had brought this to life with a tampered glass screen protector.
The screen protector was packaged up very nicely with its own separate box. A cleaning cloth was also included in the package.

Installation itself was really easy. What I did was peal of the first layer, which revealed the adhesive side, and aligned it properly according to the cutouts. After having it lined up, I just released the other portion of the screen protector. It stuck very nice and felt great.
The glass wasn't that thick at all; according to the website, it measures only .4mm thin. I had encountered a couple minor problems on my end, such as a decrease in touch sensitivity on the bottom half of the screen as well as a crack when I tried to rearrange the position of it. It might only be a defect with this particular screen protector but I am going to ask for a replacement and see if that helps at all.
After a couple weeks of using it, it provided a magnificent type protection that kept the actual screen's surface nice and clean, and I have to say it is worth the investment and trying it out.
Link to product: http://www.xgearlive.com/products/android/samsung/fantom
I have noticed that while the outer surface of the screen protector seems to be very scratch resistant the side with the adhesive seems to be easily scratched. when applying the SP i noticed some lint on the adhesive side of the SP so i used the provided MF cloth to clean the screen upon installing the SP i noticed a slight scratch. Despite this one minor nuisance i find that i am EXTREMELY satisfied with the Fantom SP, almost everyone that has seen my phone with the SP on has no idea by look or feel that i infact have an SP on the phone until I mention to them that there is a Tempered Glass SP on it.
I should also add that it fits perfectly with out any interference to the SGP Ultra Hybrid case that I use.
Thanks for the review, I'm definitely going to try one out for myself.

Nice Review! I'm tempted to buy one now.
i know there are some people that don't seem to have issues, but i'd highly recommend against this protector. it kills the touch sensitivity on the bottom half of the screen and nav bar. i had to remove mine last week due to the sensitivity issues. looks like you pay for return shipping & 20% return fee, too, if you find you don't like it. read this thread:

Very basic kit, you get your quick how-to card, business card, cleaning cloth, screen protector and a squeegee. This is my new favorite squeegee.

We're always on the hunt for the perfect screen protector. I must say Skinomi is ranked at the top of my list. It's not as soft as other wet applications. Minimal orange peel unlike the more expensive screen protectors. I feel more comfortable handing my phone to a child.
It covers most of the screen and has the proper cut outs for the sensors and camera. The home button is cut out and not just cut straight down.
The battery cover protectors were also a nice touch. I was glad to discover Skinomi uses high quality 3M products. Not a knock off brand like other competitors use to save some money. I haven't put one on yet due to my OCD. I just want to take my time. One of these will be up for the next giveaway!
MSRP of the Skinomi TechSkin is $11.95 and can be purchased for $9.95 from Amazon. The Skin Protectors come in 7 different styles. MSRP: $19.95 on the Skinomi Website. They can be found on Amazon for $18.94 shipped.
Customer Service response time was excellent and above average.
I purchased a skinomi front screen protector for my s3, and although application was really easy and its all aligned fine
Whenever a mark is made on the screen protector (Lightly press your fingernail into it) the mark stays, might just be because i only put it on 24 hours ago, so i will leave it a few days and see.

I ordered one back when they were $1 on Amazon and used it for about a month and a half. The marks stay for a long time. I made one diagonally about a week after I got it, and it was still there a month later when I changed to the curved crystal protector. I couldn't stand the divots and lines left behind from my fingernails.

Joking.
I bought 2 when they recently had the $5.99 promotion. They fit great under my Otterbox Commuter, but the marks and depressions left behind on the screen is annoying.
I had an extreme guard on my other s3 and I felt it held up better than the skinomi, although it didn't offer FULL screen protection

I switched over from the Xtreme Guards. They are much more gummier than the Skinomi. The Skinomi has a harder surface than the Xtreme Guards.
Don't all wet protection screen guards do that? So far every review for a wet application one I read has people complaining about the indents. I would try one of these out myself but with the Glas coming out this week, no point in doing it

A lot do, but some are thinner or firmer than others. They could be made of different materials. They are comparable, but not always the same.
I'm wondering what you guys think is the ultimate screen protector for the Galaxy note 2! I have always used invisible shield but I felt like it would be to... well for lack of better wording "sticky" with the s-pen.
I ordered a Spigen Ultra Crystal and while it is not as smooth for the s-pen as the naked screen is, it is acceptable to me. However, the thing was not easy to get on straight (I am insanely OCD obout that) and I got it on, but i guess it is too low since the bottom wont seal all the way (the GN2 glass is curved?) I don't like that
- The screen protector must be very statically charged because it picks up little particles of stuff like crazy.
- It is also a fingerprint Magnet.
- It doesn't cover as much of the screen as i would like (not a huge deal and it might be intentional because of the curved glass)
So... what screen protectors do use guys like that work well with the s-pen? Preferably between $10 and $60
(also, please no posts about how screen protectors are useless and gorilla glass blah blah)
I'm waiting for invisible shield hd which feels like glass and doesn't distort the display. Running a cheap one for now until that is available.
Regurgitated From My Giant Note II
Phantomskinz and ghost armor are my favorite
Clear protector is just as good as ZAGG HD. They have Note 2 available now.
Think we are going to have a hard time finding a perfect one. I have the ghost armored installed. Way better then the zagg but it is a little soft. Leaving imprints if you push down with your Spen. Might be able work them out by warming the screen up but haven't tried.

Just installed. You want this.
There's two types of screen protectors -- flexible / rubberish like zagg or hard / plastic like this.
You do not want the flexible ones. Pen wont work well with those flexible screen protectors, you'll get orange peel distortion.
You want this. Clear and no distortion.

I installed my Spigen protector in the bathroom right after I got out of the shower. With a steamy bathroom, all the dust particles stay on the ground therefore dustless and perfect install.

The install went fine with my spigen and there isn a anything between the protector and the glass but after I installed it dust and stuff would attract to the screen protector. It stopped for some reason now and im pretty happy with it now unless I see something better on here
Thanks for all the replies so far, it seems like there are quite a few good ones to try haha.
Never used screen protectors before, but I have heard that this screen gets many scratches on it very quickly...so, with that in mind, I want a high quality protector...no matter the cost. Is the Zagg HD a hard protector (like recommended for the S-Pen) or is it soft just like all their other protectors? Also, how is the spiegen protector?

Hi all,
I'm looking for a decent, but not way too expensive screen protector. I'm planning to use my n5 with only a screen protector, nothing else. It doesn't matter for me if it is wet or dry application, as long as it will keep my screen safe and it won't annoy me in terms of feel and screen distortion. Anyone know any good screen protectors?
Thanks in advance!
Can't say much but my experience with the spigen crystal clear has been good. Easy installation! looks great as it doesn't have any cutouts for the camera and proximity sensor. Doesn't affect the performance at all. My protector came dented, it came free with my ultra hybrid case but meh, not many complaints regarding that.
I bought this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPLT8O4/
You get 3 protectors and I'm pretty happy with the quality. They do attract a lot of fingerprints but I think most protectors do? I was worried a screen protector would alter the screen color/vibrance but I can't even tell it's on unless I look at the edges. I'm happy with this purchase but in the future I might try an oleophobic tempered glass one.

Currently iSmooth screen protector is one of the best screen protectors. Here is the link :
I cannot post a link: Go to amazon.com and search (ismooth nexus 5)
I'm rocking a best skins ever wet application protector at the moment. Its easy to fit (being wet app you can reposition after applying before it dries) and has a nice feel. Its also fits perfectly to the screen edges.
Been meaning to do a little review but not got around to doing one yet.
Loving the spigen that came with my slim case. I had it for almost 3 weeks already and only has one scratch. Very anti-scratch. I liked them so much, I ordered some for my wife s4 and no scratches at all.

I have the TechMatte amFilm Nexus 5 screen protectors. They come in a 3-pack and include everything you need. They are a dry-application screen protector. The screen protectors have three cutouts along the top for the camera/light sensor/proximity sensor, but the cutouts are NOT along the edge of the screen, as suggested by some illustrations on the packaging. The 3 cutouts are neat and precisely in the location of the aforementioned sensors.
The actual application time took around 2 minutes, 15 seconds. I got it right the first time. After initial application, the 4 bubbles took seconds to smooth out. To minimize dust particles being trapped under the screen protector during installation, TechMatte suggests applying the screen protector in a bathroom after taking a shower. I can understand why, as I ended up with two small particles of dust which settled in the nanoseconds that the Nexus 5 screen was exposed to the air in my kitchen. This is no fault of amFilm though. The screen protector looks great and was a breeze to apply.
5/5 so far for the Techmatte amFilm Nexus 5 screen protectors!

Try the Mediadevil Invisible Screen Protector, I used them on both Galaxy Nexus and Note 3 and there were amazing.
from this thread it really seems that there isn't a best choice but maybe that there are several good products.
Someone cheaper someone more expensive.
I'm choosing my first one and I don't know what is the best considering price/quality.
