Hi,
This is the hack that will speed up your data connection by compressing TCP/IP header. After putting this, my data connection speed is better than before.

1. Extract the file above with ZArchiver, B1 Free Archiver or equivalent app.
2. Go to the extracted 7z and move the file inside it (options) to:

3. Change the file permission to:

Thank you to OP for sharing the hack in this thread.
The hack is 'very effective' with my Motorola RAZR XT910 (broken), because the 'novj' option is being forced by default in it's system.
Now I am using Sony Xperia Z1 (C6903), and I got the same speed (in H+ (HSDPA+ mode)). as the XT910 with the hack, DL:6Mps, UL:1.5 Mbps
As OP and I said in previous threads, this hack does NOT GUARANTEE any network link speed improvements. If you get better speed, then congratulation.
Thank you.

Actually, the app uses wifi tethering, but for sending files. The speeds are comparable to those of WiFi Direct. Moreover, I'm adding NFC pairing in the next update, so this will be quite exactly what you are looking for.

FIRST OF ALL THANKS TO rovo89 FOR Xposed Framework!
Okay, I was playing around with Xposed framework, and found out this mod makes my signal bars display bars!
Here are the steps!
1. Install Xposed tweakbox and Xposed installer (Links below!)
2. Open up the Xposed installer. Install the libraries by pressing the "install/update button". It will NOW ask for SU permissions; allow.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
IMPORTANT: You need to allow SU permissions when it comes up. If it doesn't come up at all it means you do not have SU installed. In the Jedi Jelly ROM, open up SuperSU and it might ask you to update the SU binaries. Please allow them and then it will install.
3. Go to the modules tab and enable "Xposed Tweakbox", assuming you've installed it from the other steps above. KEY STEP EVERYONE MISSES! Sorry for not putting it up in the steps!
4. Reboot.
5. Open up Xposed tweakbox, go into Status Bar, and set the bars to 5.
6. Reboot.
7. IMPORTANT: Enjoy!
NOTE: When you revert to 4 bars you'll have no bars.
Xposed Installer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Xposed Tweakbox: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629653
Bugs
• Setting it to have 6 bars really is the same as 5 - What I mean is that if you had no signal, you'd have 1 bar.
• Changing it from 5 - 4 bars doesn't enable the signal bars for 4 bar mode
-----------------------
Screeeeeeeenshooooot!

Touchwiz 4.2.2 ROM supports multi users. You just need to follow the instructions here:
http://www.pocketables.com/2013/03/how-to-enable-multiple-user-mode-on-cyanogenmod-10-1-and-some-other-android-4-2-2-roms.html
adding fw.max_users=8 to build.prop makes it permanent, otherwise you need to run the setprop each time you reboot.
Enjoy your new feature....

Yes, it sets up a whole new user folder, and eats up some space, but apps istalled for multiple users do not take up double the disk space. The application data is only downloaded once, but the user data takes up space for each user.
/data/app is shared between users. (where the application is)
/data/media/obb is shared between users. (where the extra application resources are for games, etc)
The only problem is if apps download extra data to /data/media/0 (primary account), or data/media/10, etc.. (secondary accounts). It would be worth watching out for those and avoiding them, but it will not happen with well behaved apps.

Want Stock T-Mobile Boot/Shutdown Animations / Sound again?
http://tekunix.com/downloads/stock_tmo_bootanim_for_tmo_n3.prop.zip
Do you have a rooted AT&T N3 (SM-N900A) and want higher data speeds?
Add this code at the end of system/build.prop:
SEE ATTACHMENT TXT (For Some reason the post is editing the code)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2478980
And give thanks to ANIMALMO (the higher speed code is originally from Animalmo's "MyRom"
Also everytime you see GrandMasterB, give him thanks for providing the Stock AT&T build.prop!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does the ATT speed boost apply to ATT? Do they slow stuff down on purpose?
Using this won't all of a sudden identify the phone as an AT&T Note 3 on my account will it? Right now, AT&T's system doesn't know what phone I'm using.
Like the ATT icons better than TMO.

No... imei still from T-Mobile so they will never know what you are really using... This mod will make your TMO N3 have the fingerprint of the AT&T's variant... For any app that might look into it. For example, Google Play will known you are an AT&T user...

May be a dumb question, but does this trigger the Knox flag? I think I will be getting the T Mobile version rather than keeping my ATT version, so would be interested in this.

I thought a custom recovery trips the Knox flag? Or did I read that wrong...

The thing is that if you already have a custom recovery, then yes... the Know is flagged already and you can use this flash files... If you don't have a custom recovery... Then this flash files are useless and you have no Knox Flag... Lol... in other words this files work If you already have a custom recovery and you are flagged. Unless you are rooted and copy / paste the code manually from the desired flash file...

The key thing here to note is to copy and past the code, not the file. If you paste the file and get the permissions wrong, you may end up with a device that won't boot and will have to flash the stock odin tar to get the phone running again. I pasted it into the build.prop using root explorer and had no issues.

True 101%... If you can't flash, EDIT, your current build.prop... Remember EDIT. Will post this on 1st post as soon as I can in case of a newbie decides to soft brick the phone...

No. I meant flash the file and have an update on how well it works.

Tested this on my T-Mobile N3 running on AT&T and everything is working perfect.
This was a really good idea to do and kind of funny at the same time. I wish I could go into t-mobile and show the salesrep this. HAHAH
Thanks for your work on this.

Works good here. It changed the data icons to the AT&T ones which I like.

I apologize if this isn't the right place, but is there any way to look into unlocking the GSM SIM portion of the phone with these ROMs, don't have sprint plan anymore(had to quickly move to brazil for a job) and It's SIM locked. Again, apologies if this isn't the right place.
Edited... Sorry..

I know for one thing, one of the mods for the Sprint variant that has yet to make an appearance is a wifi tether mod. I know there are many folks interested in it and if you can get it to work that would be awesome. Maybe even adding a separate flash zip file to enable wifi tether would be awesome.

Perhaps upload it to Mediafire? I know Dropbox is not a good way to share files since they limit the amount of huge downloads.
Tried flushing and got an error on the update binary something or other. Gonna wait to try another download. Thanks rocko!
