I just factory reset my stock rooted ROM through twrp AMD maintained root
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4

A factory reset wipes /data and /cache, not system
and root is written to the /system so you would maintain root (theoretically), google may have thought of this and put in a method to remove su binary.
if your superuser app is written to /data then you would loose the app but the binary is always in /system

I would think so, yes
Format system deletes system files
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
So formatting sd card in cwm will retain the rom and the superuser?

system not mounted

hello folks I'm on stock rooted. wanted to delete some system apps, I got the system app remover installed on my tablet but the problem is it shows my system is not mounted unable to delete system apps. any idea why? take a look at the screen shot, on the status it shows root yes busybox yes but system not mounted

anyone?

I think the app is confused. Root is installed in /system, so if it found root, then /system is mounted. Lots of things wouldn't work if /system isn't mounted

I ran into a similar problem when trying to root where recovery said system wasn't mounted. Fixed by stock restore and starting over

Flash stock recovery and do a system restore from there. Will bring it back to stock. Then use a kit to root and install recovery. Works lots better

Installing Linaro 10.2

I know this shouldn't necessarily be in this section but I've already PM'd someone and asked on the original thread for help and have gotten no response yet. I understand people may be busy though too. At any rate, can anyone give and exact instructions on how to flash this ROM? They're not in the ROMs OP so...yeah, I'm lost.

I would do a factory reset in TWRP then go to advanced and wipe system. Flash ROM, flash gapps wipe cache and dalvik one last time the reboot.

Use same fresh install method listed in any of my rom threads... I'm not sure about restoring messages I never do it but system data is usually a no no if you have issues with titanium download super su update your binary with the recovery method then go into titanium preferences and click the back up folder location option and change it from sdcard0 to legacy it will ask you if you want to move your back ups say yes then restart titanium and world will be right again

Did u factory reset in recovery at least twice ? Also it may not hurt to wipe everything twice EXCEPT INTERNAL STORAGE.... Then reinstall ROM and gapps

Wipe the device and flash again...
It sounds like a bad flash...
Remember to wipe the internal storage as well when changing frameworks. ..
And run a complete backup in recovery first. ..g

Not sure where you are at... If you're still on the ROM you flashed and got camera problems.
I personally have never had a camera problem but the bottom of this thread on Post #1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2704375
is a fix that some people have used to fix camera issues.

Backing up with recovery will backup allllll of the data from that ROM. It might cause some things to force close in the older version ROM but then again it may not. It will also put unneed data onto your phone if the app isnt installed

To search for what? And you dont need to take the SD card out. Just make sure the "wipe the SD card" is not checked when you go to wipe
