I would think so, yes

Format system deletes system files

So formatting sd card in cwm will retain the rom and the superuser?

Super Wipe

I would grately appreciate if any Dev can make a flashable zip, like the one Darkside made for the s2
Or I'm wondering if I can still use the darkside one, b4 I flash a new ROM on my S3?

I read the OP but it says its gonna wipe my internal SD card, such as data and media.
I got a bunch of movies on my Int. SD card, so do I have to move them to my SD card?
That or back them up to a pc. Superwipe wipes everything but external sd.
Sounds like you are looking for something more like the factory reset through cwm or twrp.

I had the s2 but I always used the script from darkside, it didn't touch my SD card even the internal.
If u got time check it out and you'll see what I'm looking for.

Just go into cwr and mounts and storage and format system, data, and cache.
It will accomplish the same thing

When I have issues I save everything from internal SD card to my PC then load the ROM files to ext SD. Then I go to recovery > wipe. Then do Factory reset, system and data. That way its all clean. Don't wipe external.

install it from your internal card, NOT your external card..
Flash the latest TWRP and re download the time and flash again.

Is there a way to wipe my internal 16gig.. From loading 4.2 and coming back to 4.1 somehow my internal memory is messed up. When I go into twrp I can see some files in my downloads folder but when I boot up and explore my memory it's different. I have factory reset and wipe when I Flashed new rom but it don't fix it.

Try looking in data/media and you will most likely find your files. It's a 4.2 change

In twrp there is a wipe internal option. Not sure if that'll do what you need.

Root browser

OK when I boot into cwm and I have zip files that I down loaded and put into cwm and flash them and stuff but they are not in my root browser. But when I boot into recovery they are there

Are you using the actual app called root browser? Also are you looking at the same directory?

You're looking for old files from when you were on the lg software..
In root explorer they are in
Data/media/
On my s3 I would use TB and back up all my apps and data and when I flash a new ROM I would just do a batch reinstall of all my ****. Now I can't do that because I can't move apps to my SD card and I had stuff on TB but when you do a full wipe you lose it all. So I tried moving the back up to my SD card and it will not read that back up of TB on my SD card
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
I don't follow you...when I full wipe it doesn't format my internal sdcard..
Now again when I switched to cm10 from stock I had to manually go to
data/media/ and I had to move my entire titanium folder to the new internal sdcard location and then titanium found my backups fine.
I think he wiped the internal SD.

Yes you need to do that..normally i do
Wipe all user data
Flash cm10.1
Flash gapps
Wipe all user data
Reboot system

Formatting sd

I want to format my phone to clean all the crap files iv accumulated. If I format through twrp, will it just reinstall the current rom I'm running? Did this before on my s4, just want to make sure. Thanks guys

Like internal storage you meant? I always do that on top of cache and dalvik wipe to get a full clean install and no trace of previous rom. To be on safe side always have nand backup when doing that.

Yeah like if I go to wipe, then select all except system or that also?

Factory reset, advance wipe, then I wipe cache, dalvik, system, data and internal storage. I have all my back ups in external card including copy of titanium backup for data. Then I flash any custom rom.
