I have the note 2 rooted stock rom cant get the wifi tether to work. i am running jb 4.3 everytime i go start wifi get a message say errors here are screen shot of messages whats happening.. anyone know how to fix this problem

I'm rooted and after I flashed 4.3 update my wifi won't turn on and wifi tether won't work. Did you find a solution?
no offense, but a quick search you would have found out that TrevE Mod WiFi tether does not work 4.3, at least on stock roms.
I've read you can use the native hotspot with a odin flash hack, but need to be on a deoxidized stock rom. There's a thread on it, but I don't know where. There is a link in the thread on TrevE Mod's WiFi tether and in one on the threads in Q&A on TrevE Mod's Mod not working in 4.3

Quick question: Is anyone else having trouble with the WiFi Tether for Root Users and/or the built-in hotspot on Cyanogenmod 6.1 RC4? I've wiped, reflashed, fixed permissions and nothing seems to make it work. I know I'm missing something that's obvious to everyone else. BTW, both work fine on the stock rom with root & bacon bits.
I gotta be doing something stupid. Can someone help?

you'll get a better/faster response if you ask in the CM rom's thread.
cm6.4 includes a custom version of wifi tether therefore it causes problems with the wifi for root

tryin to get wifi tether working on stock rooted mb1 rom anyone have any ideas or post a tether that works on this stock rom,,,ive tried treve tether and nuthing.Ican see it connect on my phone but the ssid doesnt come up on the computer,,sometimes the wifi reconnects when i turn it on and 3g goes away,, its wierd but it just wont connect. this was going on also on ma6 stock rom plz help

I think it may have been to turn off all encryption...but either way, search and find those threads

Are you using Super User or SuperSU? I've heard that Treve's mod plays better with SuperSU.
Has anyone gotten wifi tethering to work in the stock 4.3 ROM. I'm using the Deodex version that was recently posted but I can't get wifi to work. The Sprint wifi that worked previously in the Rooted Stock ROM (4.1 I think) worked fine but now it asks for a SIM Card. I tried to download the latest version of Wifi Tether but it doesn't look like that is working either (starts with errors and nothing connects)
Does anyone know the right settings to use for Wifi Tether to get it to work or what the latest wifi/hotspot option is?

Hello, I need some help please. I have just installed the slim bean rom on my samsung s3 from sprint. I have used wifi tether for years prior to this i only had one problem prior to when i changed phones. But i managed to get it working. But now i can not get it to work. I have went to the newest version to the 2.1, I can get to where it loads with no errors but it does not broadcast, I have tried installing different scripts, to see if it will work in the background but still no luck. I have read all the android websites with issues and i have tried every setting that has worked for others and i still can not get it to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hi, I looked before posting and couldn't find and post about the APP WiFi tether router workaround for lollipop, I did everything I can to make it work with lollipop and nothing, so I had to downgrade to kitkat and now is working fine. I'm not using any costume rom, just rooted my phone. Any ideas or a rom that can make WiFi tether router work perfectly fine? Thanks
I am using it on a rooted fob6 stock rom just fine, at least a gig daily for my tablet. Did you use the settings they suggest?

I was using WiFi tether router on rooted kit kat without issues. I upgraded to stock lollipop and root. I can confirm that there was an issue I had where the router app drained my hotspot data from my plan after i flashed srock lollipop. I did find the solution. the developer suggested that we are to uninstall the tether app. reboot. reinstall. that solved it on my end.
