Should have asked this forum first before i purchased it, but i ordered it anyways. Has anyone had any experience with this case at all? My only other case i've used was a cheap chinese one i got from deal extreme back in 2012. Help up pretty well after nearly 2 years.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005TJAXN6/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
While the case itself does seem pretty useful, taking a picture with it seems awkward looking:
I'm actually pretty intrigued by the standing modes that have 3 tiers which would help me when i do light sketching:
Anyways, anyone have experience with this case?

I used this type of case with an Acer tablet. It's okay but how do you get the camera to work in the case? I thought the camera had to "slide up" for the instructional screen to be removed?

Supposedly it's going to be delivered to my amazon locker tonight, so I'll be able to tell you how well it works.

I have the MoKo case for the 7 inch HDX. It fits quite snugly and it's pretty sturdy; I have no problems jamming my HDX into my cargo pants pocket now without worrying about nicking or denting it if run into something.
It's one of the best tablet cases I've ever used:
Sero 7 Pro with the iBlason case (hated it, mainly because it blocked the light sensor and it had only one view angle).
TF700T Transformer Infinity (Don't remember the brand of that case, but it's now my 2nd favorite case; it had multiple view angles and could split in 2 for access to a hand strap).
The Fire HD (I had the previous generation MoKo Slim-Fit case; my only beef with it was that I had to detach the HD from the bottom 2 clasps in order to angle it).
The MoKo for the HDX fixed all the problems I had with the Slim-Fit case for the HD; I no longer have to detach the bottom half of the case to angle it, it's more durable (Mine started peeling after the first week), and I have had zero problems with the auto wake. It's comfortable to hold, the power and volume buttons are easily accessible, and the cutouts for the speakers are lined up exactly on my case.
Hope my opinion helps!

I'm a fan of the Moko cases.
So far, Moko is the only inexpensive brand I've used that does not REEK upon arrival. I've tried Poetic, I-Blason and Fintie, and I've had to send every one back because they were like a chemical factory explosion in my house.
I have a Moko for my N7 and Nook HD+, both of which require that "detach" move. I'm glad they fixed it. Though I remove the N7 from the case all the time, and that original design does make it easy while still being secure.
The only drawback to Moko's HDX cases is they do not rotate between Landscape/Portrait. My Nook HD+ rotates, and it's really awesome. The only place that has rotating cases is via ebay.

How does the auto wake feature work? Do you have to turn it on somewhere?

it has magnet inside the case that tablet uses to detect when case is covering screen.
i bought this one and it is great... even thin enough to charge wirelessly. i love how it hugs onto the hdx instead of the one pictured.

I must say that Poetic one i way much better and comfy.

Thanks for the answer but I still don't get it I have the case in the picture, don't know what brand it is and I tested it today and it seems that it has some magnets on the edges (it definitely has some cause I used an other magnet for testing) but I don't get the sleep wake to work.. Sorry if this sounds stupid

Super cheesy and flimsy looking case. IMHO.
I'm hoping it will fit in my Nook Color case with 3 position Landscape stand. I'm pretty sure I can modify it to fit becuz I love that damn case and it cost me $35
Thanks for sharing though.
The Crazy On Digital case below via Amazon works great and looks sharp. It is for the Playbook, but fits the Fire perfectly.

Things to watch for in cases
One really important thing to be mindful of when buying a case is how close the case is to the home key popup button.
I have a Speck case I like except for one super annoying problem: the bottom of the holder is right on the edge of the screen so it makes it impossible to press the home popup key. You have to bend down the holder to make room for your finger. Granted the holder part is pretty thick, part of its function is to act as padding between the case and the cover.
Oh, and also make sure you can put the Fire in the case upside down because at least one app I tried doesn't properly rotate the screen so I have to put the Fire in upside down when using the case as a stand. I think a reverse opening case would actually be best but I've yet to see a "manga style" opening case.
I bought the PU case from ebay (as mentioned by the OP). I figured at $9 shipped it would just be an experiment.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PU-Leather-...ccessories&hash=item45fde7f83e#ht_2692wt_1037
I have to say it's not too bad. It seems to fit well, and the stand seems to work OK in both positions. I only really wanted it to travel with on the plane, and it won't be a permanent case, but for the price it does it's job. It has a magnet catch to close it, which isn't very strong, but does the job. It is also quite a low form factor, so it doesn't bulk up the overall thickness of the Fire too much.
Frankly, I prefer the feel of the kindle outside of a case, and with it being rubberized and made of Gorilla glass, I'm not too worried about scratching/marking. I just wipe it down with a damp cloth every few days.

When you fold the cover back, does it lay flat? I've seen some where it doesn't, so it leaves a space of say .5" or so on the side with the flap. I hope this is making sense, I'm tired. I want to get a case, but I don't want it to have that space on the side. I wish I could find the picture of it again to make myself clear. They never show pictures of the cases with the cover all the way folded back
I'm not sure what you mean, so here are some pictures of it in both positions. Does this help? Sorry, they aren't particularly good quality!

Thanks for the pics. This is what I mean, I finally found a picture
See how on the side of the flap it doesn't actually sit flush, thus doubling the size that is held in that hand. An yes, I know thats for the touchpad, but just for reference.

Alright, at least it can lay flat, one more question haha, can it do the same at the fold closer to the fire also, if not, at least it can do it how you showed. Thanks for the pics, this will probably be what I go with now that I can finally see it from this angle, answering my question

Yeah, it can, but what that does is make the flap protrude maybe 3/4" out of the front. So there is no real optimal fully flat position that keeps to same form factor of the Kindle itself. Each position requires you to kind of mold it to sit there, but that is probably because it's new, and doesn't have a lot of give yet.
At the end of the day, it's $9 delivered, and for that money I believe it's a reasonably disposable purchase. I'd be pissed if I had paid $40-50 for a case and didn't like it! (although I suppose I could always take it back)

You make a good point. Really as long as it sits flat, I'll be satisfied with it. Thanks for taking the time.

Two more Good Cases for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 From Poetic

I bought both case from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-StrapBack-Samsung-Manufacturer-Warranty/dp/B00FNCSTLM/
http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Slimbook-Samsung-Manufacturer-Warranty/dp/B00FNCSS2W/
I have read review about the Slimline for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is Good. I have myself to purchased Slimbook and Strapback as well. Got it today and want to add them to recommend case list. Here is my review:
First one is the Slimbook.
This case takes on a leatherette folio design. The Note 10.1 slides into the interior leather cradle, sitting snugly inside with all ports accessible. They’ve cut a hole on the spine for the charging port to be used even with the cover closed. The cover folds into a stand by folding back and tucking into a notch on the back of the case. It’s a simple but effective solution. Of course from this stand you can either lay it down to type or prop it up to watch a movie. Some other nice touches include a stylus loop, card and microSD pockets on the inner cover, and the thick handstrap that is meant for one-handed usage when folding the cover back.

Second one is the Strapback.
The StrapBack is the ideal complement to the Galaxy Note 10.1. Thanks to the large, gorgeous screen on the Note, more often than not I am watching a video when I’m using the device. Have a case that doubles as a multi-angle stand is great convenience, and the stout, yet not overly bulky, protective hard back, is a good compromise.
Some additional features on this case sweetened the pot. I like the handstrap on the inner cover which, when the cover is folded back, aids greatly in one handed usage. All four available angles offered by the grooved cover is useful, especially for typing and for watching movies on my bed. I use the second groove when sitting up in a chair, usually as I’m eating and YouTubing (ah, the pleasures of modern life!).
The build quality on the case is great for the price; buttery smooth leather (synthetic I believe) all through gives this a premium feel. I can recommend the Strapback enough if you’re looking for a well-padded and feature-rich case. A worthy companion to the 2014 Galaxy Note 10.1.
Got those for 4.95 USD each at the introductory period, both add up less than 10 bucks.
I have the note 8 and I'm currently using the bottom one on it. Nice case with one exception, I purchased it Because I didn't like the bezel being covered (which this case doesn't cover the bezel) and because it doesn't, it doesn't protect it very well either.
My tablet slipped off an edge one day and landed vertically (on its edge) and slammed right on the edge of the tablet with no protection whatsoever (it was in the current case). Fortunately no actual harming damage was done, just a scar to remind me every time I see it as to why I should have a full cover Case. Btw, I've NEVER dropped or damaged a device before, so I thought I was Ok.
I already ordered a tpu case for my note 10 for when I get it, it won't be my full time case but for those times at home when I don't want to sport the full case I'll still have bump coverage. Lol
Are the cases magnetic? ie. those it work along the lines of the samsung smart cover? And will it work with the Daynote app ? (I keep forgetting the name, but I mean the ones that starts up when you open the smart cover) (anyone help me out with the name?)
Anyone tested these :

I have the MoKo Slim fit and I like it. It's magnetic and day note worked. I disabled it as I don't need it but it did work. My only complaint is that the case grips a little too near to the part button on the top left - makes it tiny bit harder to get to the power button.
Does any one the Poetic Slimeline case?
I have been looking at this case but I can find out if the cover will flip all the back against the back of the tab 180 degrees

I definitely agree with you. I read this post and ordered the Strap Back case. It was $9 shipped and all, and is an awesome case. It DOES work with the day note app thing , although I really don't like that app; is ugly and blank looking. This case is solidly made and has all the right cut outs. It also had the right stuff when it comes to watching a movie at an angle or typing. Great case, really cheap, just what I needed. Slim and solid, covers all the corners, protective and durable. Good case.

What about the issue that cover pushes against the home button and wakes the tablet up? This was a repeatedly reported issue with this case.
Therefore I am considering moko.

I've got a blue Poetic Slimline and I love it!
The cover flips back perfectly flat to the back of the case. I think that's what you were asking?
I also have the Moko and the VSTN Slim Smart Cover Case. I feel that the Poetic Slimline is easily the best case of the three as the Poetic Slimline has a superior, more precise fit and finish. It even has a tiny hole for the microphone which the other two cases lack. The Moko is quite bulky and sloppy in comparision and the fit and the design of the VSTN is not quite as good as that of the Poetic, although it is close. The Poetic is also definitely the slimmest and lightest of the three cases. Of the three, the Poetic Slimline is what lives on my Note at the moment.
Amazon has it for $17 US.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FLO8NAO
(by the way, the color of the blue case (which I have) is exactly as it is pictured in the description).
wow, those look like DOG CRAP!
The Moko Slim seems to be the only way to fly, but whatever floats your boat,
I got lucky and ordered 3 of them when they were on sale/glitch for 0.1¢ on amazon.
the Plastic can be a little brittle when trying to take the device OUT of the case however, so be carefull,
Magnetic and launches the calander/note pad on wake too, No weird screen issues as some have reported with the magnet.

I purchased both before Christmas because I knew I was getting the Note 2014 for Christmas. I have been using the slim fit smart shell case almost everyday. The slim fit folio multi stand position has the wake and multiple viewing angles which is very nice. The only thing I don't like about the multi stand, the bottom corners that clamp on to the tablet when you close it, really grip the tablet when you open the case and try and pop it into a tilting position. I haven't had any issue accessing the power button. It basically comes down to how you use the device which case is for you.
Previously I had a Motorola Xoom and LOVED Cover-up cases (coverupaccessories.com) who are based out of the UK. Their comfort shell case is their best design...but they have not provided a model for our Note 2014 yet.

VOIA LG G Pad 8.3 Premium Standing Case - Black with Pic

Everyone,
Just want to share my newly just bought case for my LG G Pad 8.3 Black bought from Amazon for $39.99.
Overall design, it's a very slim profile case, nice feel to it, fit perfectly to the tablet. The smart on/off feature work perfectly, you have to enable Smart Cover in Accessories setting in order for it to work. As far as standing, it work as in the picture, but not a big fan of it, look like it's working fine on carpet, but I haven't try to stand it on a smooth surface yet. But I bought this case not for it standing feature, but it slim profile, and nicely looking with a "for LG G Pad" logo.
One thing doesn't like, when you close the cover, the flap does not have magnetic, so it's easily open not grabbing it on the right side... and not completely in plane to the tablet. But I still do like this cover a lot, it's a little bit costly, but it's does make your LG G Pad look pretty good.

Cám ơn for posting those pictures. That case DOES look really slick, even if the stand doesn't seem to work well. I'd like to see/hear from you how it works on a smooth surface.

I had a case like this on my Nexus 7 (2012) and the one thing I really do not like about them is that the cover does not stay closed as you mentioned. In my case I droped my Nexus the cover opened up Nexus fell screen down and shattered $200 in the trash. Since that happened to me I refuse to buy a case that does not have a Mechanical clasp on the cover of some sort. I'm actually thinking of moving to a pouch instead of a case.
Yeah, I had one like that on my Nexus 7 3G (2012). Chipped the edge metal part I was lucky that it didn't break the screen. I right away bought a cover that has an elastic strap that holds the cover closed.

I'm wondering if I could get a thin magnet & just stick it in the case? I like the feedback on the case
Bascially, yes.

Nice pics, thanks. But basically ;
- This case is labelled as premium and doesn't have magnets !
- This case is labelled as standing but it's not able to do it on all surfaces !!
I got this case with my G Pad as gift and I must say - this is very good one.
It could work as smart cover with no problem. But I need some tries before I found out how it works in stand position
Hey guys, here's a quick fix for the floppy / insecure cover on this case. I actually had this clip laying around from my old Kindle. It was sold/used to prevent the back cover from lifting from the kindle due to stress on the powered case connector. Bought it directly off Amazon way back but not sure it's available anymore. Below is the link to the direct website, but question if they are still making this due this being for the 2010 kindle model. In any case figured I'd post to give you guys some ideas. I actually find it works quite well as the clip easy slides off and I simply put in my pocket while I use the pad. Additionally it stays put and doesn't slide off. I shaked the pad a few time and it wouldn't move. Again figured I give you guys who bought this case some ideas.

this case looks ok but to be honest i never get cases for my gadgets..i just dont like bulking them up. I prefer getting screen protectors as they're cheaper. You can pick a screen protector for your LG pad 8.3 for around $19 from GEARMAXX on ebay. I took a couple of pics of mine:

Would a screen protector provide any protection if you dropped the tablet or else dropped something on top of it? I think a case provides more protection in those situations.
I just got this case a few minutes ago at work. It's very nice. I like the look and feel, and it maintains the 8.3's lean form factor. I like it!
One drawback I noticed - this case messes up sound. Tablet itself has good sound quality, but with case it's "metallic", sometimes distorted.
It looks like case resonates.
Quick solution for it - put some paddnig around speakers and problem dissapears.

What's the application method? Wet or dry? I've already killed one screen with a wet-application protector, so I'm a little gun-shy right now.

This is a dry method. I picked these up as well. They were ok. I had some adhesion issues on the edges. I just replaced it today with the Evecase version. There is a 4 pack available on Amazon for $9 shipped.

I put on the Anti-glare version and like it much better. I had the Clear from GearMaxx. Showed too many fingerprints. So far the Anti-glare is working out great.

Good to know - I mainly get screen protectors for reducing fingerprints (I have oily fingers, so without a protector, my screen looks like garbage after a few hours of use), so the GearMaxx one wouldn't work for me. I'll give The Evecase ones a shot.

No. The part that holds the tablet is hard plastic. The cover is a textured plastic on the outside with a soft lining.

The Amazon "Origami" case review / impressions

As this is the default case offered for the KF HDX I went ahead and got it, and I was not disappointed.
Origami case got its name from "folding" and some nicely hidden magnets. It fits snugly onto the HDX. You "slide" HDX into the "baseplate". Removal is easy, as there's no clips. It also has its own 'buttons' that pushes on the official buttons, unlike other cases that leaves your buttons exposed.
The folding part is the "folio cover", which has "seams" that can be folded. When you flip it over, and pull up on the fold the cover turns into a stand as the magnets stick to each other and the back of the base plate. Pretty clever design, and probably patented. You can get it in a variety of colors, though I got mine in plain black. Here's a picture (not mine)

And yes, it works in portrait mode as well.
Complaint 1) this case when folded over somewhat covers up the buttons (I have fat fingers) but only when it's lying flat (like when you're holding it with both hands, like playing a driving game). it's less noticeable when the stand's 'deployed".
Complaint 2) The case attracts a bit of finger print, not quite as visible on black, but when tilted at an angle...
Complaint 3) its relatively high price. It's just a plain case, albeit a clever one, but $40 for "rubber" case?
But it's not completely disappointing.
Protectionwise... This case will NOT save your HDX from drops or such. But then, given the weight of the HDX, I doubt anything will except maybe one of those expensive Ottercases. This is a dust cover and stand, little more.
Size-wise... this case is pretty thin, and adds minimum bulk and weight to the dense thinness of the KF HDX. Baseplate is solid, while the cover does not look flimsy despite the need to fold and unfold over and over.
Pros: Clever stand, official Amazon Kindle design, perfect fit
Cons: Expensive, attracts fingerprints, covers up back buttons when folded over
All in all, IMHO it's slightly overpriced, but it's a quality product. If you don't need the clever stand, get something cheaper.
I actually picked up the genuine leather version of this case when I got the HDX 8.9 a couple months ago. It is even crazier expensive than the PU version, $65 - $70, but the leather is really nice, it smells great & it just gets softer, more supple every week.
I really like the case. It stands the device at very usable angles in both landscape & portrait. It also is about as protective as any of the other similar cases, while being about the thinnest one out there. Funny thing, the case weighs as much or more than the tablet, but I would think most would, since the tablet is so light.
The real leather one is only available in black, or at least was only in black when it released.
It has a ballistic plate in the back, which is cool, & the tablet is held in place with magnets that also serve to launch the camera whenever you raise it above the horizon of the case. It is also great because I have always like cases with removable inserts, & with this, the tablet is easily removed, so you can enjoy that ultra-featherweight goodness. Another nice thing about the magnets, if you read at night, they serve to kind of align the tablet, so getting it back into the case square is easy as pie.
The leather is pretty darn durable & as a plus, if you scuff it a bit, you can grab that old can of shoe polish & clean it right up.
At first I was a bit nervous about magnets being the only thing holding the device in the case, but as a big meaty fingered guy, I can tell you that not once has it popped out.
I would estimate that the bulk this thing adds is around a millimeter or less.

Thanks for the review i'll probably get something cheaper.
I have the PU version of the Origami Case. Best investment I made when I first picked up my HDX 7 and still going strong :victory: Have to agree that the price is high but very good quality case.
One complaint after prolonged use: the "seams" in the cover leaves a bit of marking, as well as the "Amazon" logo, on the screen protector after prolonged use. And I had the premium Skinomi protector. I just replaced the protector as the lines are distracting me.
Just picked up both the Amazon one and the roo case.... Amazon one is hands down the winner, hence it is double the price. The only advantage the roo has over the Amazon one is that it has a firmer grip on the tablet so the tablet can't slip out. The Amazon one obviously ccan't grab the tablet firmly as it is meant to slide up and down on it, but by no means does it feel like it'll slip out either. My biggest complain about the roo case one is that the back flap never lays securely flat. So either it's folded or loose. I happened to get the Amazon cover for $10 used on the site with minor cosmetic flaw.... When I received it, it looked perfect, nothing that would make me believe it was ever used.

Yeah, as I mentioned, I went with the insanely priced genuine leather version of the Amazon Oragami case. It does hide fingerprints rather well (I am pretty hard on this thing) & after more than a year, it is holding up very well. I also like the fact that since it is leather, I can dab a little of my Allen Edmund's shoe polish on it & voila, it looks brand new again. I like the feel of the leather case better too. It handles sweaty fingers very well on long stuffy flights. As you mentioned, it is not the worlds most secure design, any good drop has a chance of spitting out the tablet, but it works great in a laptop bag or back pack + it adds only minimal bulk & weight.
My favorite Thor case: MoKo Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7" Case (in black). Clean face, minimal bulk/weight, modest protection, functional buttons (better feel than stock IMO), doesn't muffle speakers. Device inserts with a firm snap; won't fall out. Folding cover needs a week or so to break in then holds shape well. Lies flat when open or forms a small triangle which I find to be a perfect grip in portrait orientation. Opens/closes easily. No gaudy logos. Cases like this aren't for everyone but works well for me. Price is right too.

@GSLEON3 don't know if you've tried it but the magnets in the case backing and leather top flap are strong enough that you can stick it to the fridge and have the Kindle right there streaming netflix when you're in the kitchen! lol, I like it because it doesn't get any mess or take up any counter space

Anyone found a flip case with auto wake feature for the oneplus 7 pro?

In order to a do auto-wake the phone itself has to have a sensor for that magnet. The Galaxy phones have that, for example, but I didn't think the 7 pro has one. I'd love to be corrected if it does.

There are apps that will utilize the proximity sensor on your phone and turn the screen on when opening the case. I used the below app on my S8+ with my Otterbox Strada, it worked without any issues.

So I have 3 flip cases currently, ordered the 4th (the one that looks like the OEM flip case) that's going to be here next week.

You can see them all in the attached jpg.
They each have their pros and cons, none of them are ideal (the Otterbox Strada is my ideal case, a tank that's lasted my old S7e the past 3 years) and NONE ARE SMART COVERS.
The far left in navy is the one on my device right now. Like the form, the color, and corner protection. The drawback is that I question how screen protector friendly it is, as the sides actually curl in PAST the factory-applied protector film. Don't know if the case will will fit with a TGSP installed. My guess is it won't, which is why I'm using it now.
The middle one has the most coverage along the sides, but it's thin compared to the case I just discussed. From my experience with its 6T counterpart, it's relatively durable so it will likely be my go-to when I apply a TGSP. Don't like the form (full-length spine where it folds, front cover is not merged into the back case) as much as the other two.
The one on the right is the Nillkin, a brand I've used since... my Nexus 6? Love the form factor, hate the durability. Expect the case to last for about 3 months before it's starts cracking, chipping, tearing. This one lasted 3 minutes -- one corner cracked when i put the phone in. WTF.

I'd be willing to pay Otterbox more money for a OP 7 Pro Strada case. Such a great case.
Brilliant review reaper000 thanks very much.
Dammit OnePlus get on with the official flip case.
I'm waiting for the Nillkin to be delivered. Oh no! Bad luck with that. Take your advice on the durability.
I actually prefer the full spine so that middle one might suit me. Prefer the complete cover on all sides too. My OP3 somehow got scuffed top and bottom in the official case. I don't seem to need the padding. Never considered the black but that looks ok.
Oh that damn kick stand fold.. Dino why do many cases have that. Hate it. Would try and glue the thing down.
Thanks again. [emoji106][emoji106]

Just received the Nilkin flip case in black.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality. Soft cloth inner. Hard plastic full protection holster for the phone. Accurate cut outs. Hard nylon backed combined fake leather back and cover that folds quite flat and out of the way.
Doesn't sleep or wake, although the proximity sensor does already deal with that so not an issue for me. No magnet at all to help the case stay closed.. this is a smart minimalist cover that sacrifices ruggedness.
