I cannot seem to flash to custom rom.
It gives me Status 7 error. I am think that it is recovery that having problem.
I tried CWM and PilZ's recovery to flash CM11 and CarbonROM in this forum.
Any solutions or problem?
I was using JB liquidsmooth rom. I updated TWRP to flash liquidsmooth kitkat ROM.
I did a wipe, started to flash the ROM but mid-install the device rebooted then got stuck into bootloop.
when I try booting into recovery it will display the TWRP screen but then the device reboots.
any ideas how to fix this?
Install cwm or reinstall twrp. The recovery is probably corrupt.

when i installed a 4.4.x custom rom after installing my phone freezed in galaxy logo, some times looped in restart!!!
i tried all 4.4.x roms and same problem !! when i flash a new recovery like philiz and CWM 6.0.4.x i have same problem, i don't know what can i do?! my current cwm recovery version is 6.0.3.2 , please help me,:crying:
i do full wipe after and before installing roms but ....

My Official Rom version is 4.1.2 , but i tested this with my 4.2.2 slim-bean custom rom ,
if i'm in wrong please guide me,,
for flawless flashing of custom rom....u should update stock to 4..2.2 before flashing custom,
if u made backup of ur nandroid just do a restore then update to 4.2.2 or or flash stock 4.2.2 for ur fone using ODIN
I can't get my GT-N7100 to boot any Android 7.1 custom rom.
I used to install lots of roms earlier like Android 5,6 custom roms, then I went back to rooted stock again a few months ago.
Recently I tried to install Android 7.1 with the traditional steps: wiping everything (system/data/cache/dalvik/internal storage) then I install the rom and gapps, but I couldn't get any rom to boot. They all stuck on the rom boot logo playing without proceeding to the rom itself. Yet, when I restore my twrp backup of the stock rom it works fine.
I even tried to install android 6 yet it didn't boot as it used to do before, the same logo stuck thing happens without any progress.
Any idea how to fix that ? what could be the reason behind that ?
Should I reinstall a stock rom and re-root it again?
I can't find a good reason for what I have regarding that problem.
I have: GT-N7100 with the following:
OS: wesam.othman ROM 4.4.2 stock rooted rom.
Recovery: twrp 3.0.2
Kernel: AGNi pureSTOCK N7100
Boot loader version: N7100XXUEMJ5
SD Card: 32 GB
I'm using a script that swaps storage so I have nothing on my device internal storage.

Fixed by doing the following:
Installing an original 4.1.2 stock unrooted rom.
re-rooting again using cf auto root.
installing custom recovery
installing a 4.4.2 modem
then finally installing the 7.1 rom
Hello Devs,
My grand is facing a problem with custom ROMs...
No matter whichever rom I flash by using any recovery be it TWRP, CWM or Philz.
The ROM works for 1-2 hrs and after that only shows the boot animation...
Precisely gets stuck into bootloader or bootloop...
The only thing it supports is stock ROM...
If I flash any other ROM be it android 4.4 or 7.1...
It works for an hour and then gets stuck into bootloop...
Plz help me...
