Zenus 'Prestige' Carbon Series Stand / Case

Well, I just got this case today. It comes in black or white. I got the black one. I'd post pictures but my grandkids are here and I won't be able to do it until tomorrow.
My mini-review:
Pros:
Fit and Finish is beautiful.
Very light. Case and Tablet weighs 1lb 12.6ozs
Very thin.
(Added) The edges of the screen are not covered. Like the Samsung case there are 3 clips to hold the TAB. I don't like the way most ofthe other cases cover the border of the screen with "PU" or leather.
Cons:
TOO EXPENSIVE. It may be "worth" $85 + shipping for it's quality but for what it is it's just too much money
TOO EXPENSIVE
"Stand" is only a single position and the way it works is you have to unsnap the bottom half of the tablet from it's perfectly fitting snap on cover and rest it on the "latch" that holds locks the case closed. I have to believe that eventually the snaps will lose their tension and not tightly hold the Tablet. May be wrong there but it seems to be.
Must be opened to access USB connection.
TOO EXPENSIVE
I have six months to return it so I'm not worried.

I looked at that case but since it was seemingly 2x as thick and made from "synthetic leather" (either plastic or "PU" not sure which) I chose the other. I probably would prefer the Samsung over that one since the Samsung is very thin and lite. Also don't like the "hand strap" since it reminds me of a ping-pong paddle.
However if the quality is just as good it would be a good alternate choice for those who don't mind the thicker vinyl case.

Cut the price in half and I'll buy.

I sent it back for a refund. Too expensive and required "unsnapping" the bottom 2 clips holding the TAB to "stand" it.
Well made and excellent fit and VERY light .... but not worth it to me.

Aw, that's kinda upsetting. It sure looked like a nice case, and for some reason I'm a sucker for carbon fiber styling, but it's sad to hear about those downsides.
If nothing else, thanks for being a guinea pig on that! It was hard enough to justify that kind of money on a simple case even if it was perfect. The USB slot issue is the killer, really.

How did you go about sending it back for a refund. I'm about to do the same with mine. My initial impressions were that it was a good case but after having it a couple days I'm ready to return it and get something cheaper that is probably a better quality.

I purchased through Amazon. I went into my Amazon account and sent the "seller" a message, They have a 14 day return policy. You can also contact them through their website but if you purchased from Amazon you should email through there as Amazon keeps records of the contacts and you are protected.

i was thinking about getting this case but real expensive ... waiting on your pics ...

Then you will be waiting for a long time because as I stated in the previous message I sent it back.
BTW, it was NOT carbon fiber, it's a vinyl fabric.

These Zenus cases look pretty slick, but also very pricey. What other cases do you all recommend?

Same here, I have not found any cases I would think are worth buying compared to the official one.

I recomend this fullbody protector

this full body protector for samsung epic touc 4g is great same quality as zagg shield so why pay all that $$$ when you can get it cheaper

I had a similar one on my Asus Transformer. The back on that is far more textured than the E4GT and it stuck just fine.
I'll post pics once I get it installed. Maybe a video of me trying to install it just for lulz.

I put it on, and took it off. Hated it. Im going to stop dealing with these cheap skins and screen protectors. Going to just spend the money to get the legit one from Steinheil. I have went through like $10 in these cheap protectors.
I put this entire one on on Saturday night....took it off Sunday during Sunday Night Football.
Im picking up one of these and a tpu case and calling it a day.

Which one did you get? I kind of like the Crystal Clear one but also am tempted by the one that resists finger prints.

Got the crystal. I read on the other thread that you barely get fingerprints and all that. Plus I want to keep that sexy clarity

got mine, and installed it, and, actually, its a lot nicer than I thought..
I also got that combo holster/black case from the sprint store, and, the phone fits with the complete cover into the case; so, the phone is completely covered with that clear protective material, and, the case is providing additional protection..
I figure between the 2 things, I should be pretty well protected until Ballistic releases their case for this thing soon..

In for one. Looking for basic cheap skin for the moment.

I got mine on ebay for $3.75. I would recomend anyone looking a cheap skin. I have it over all the phone and as long you follow the instructions and let it dry they are great. Was gonna go for a ghost armor but i for the price i might as well try this one.

I dought it, there is only one skin I have seen to claim that. I use the skin along with the matte tpu case and love it

HTC One Nillkin case

I was looking for a anti-fingerprint screen protector and i stumbled upon this case, it looks amazing, not sure if anyone has this one already and can give us a quick review, its called Nillkin.

I have them all. I also have the Nillkin fold cases like the galaxy case. They are top notch cases, you cant go wrong with nillkin. Probably my favorite case maker.

I bought the white one but have since decided to sell it away because I've finally decided to use my HTC One with a pouch instead of hiding its beauty behind a cover =)

Well, I guess we just have different preferences :laugh:

I've got one in black and its an awesome case, i'd say a better fit and more durable than the casemate cases too.

Two questions before I buy this case:
1) Is there a cut out for the power button or is there an actual button on the case for it?
2) Do these hard shells not damage the phone at all?

Absolutely love this case. Almost looks like the phone was made that way. Doesn't offer the best protection, but if you just care about protecting the back, this is of the best and best looking.

1. its a cut out, look at the ebay post to see more photos
2. i THINK these are high quality plastic, it should not damage the phone

I too have a white nillkin case and their grey flip.
Only problem with the flip is the case is too close to the headphone port, so I have a kld oscar 2 on back order to fix this.
Plus I love the black monolith look, reminds me of the film 2002 a space odyssey.

Bumper case clone

Looks like eBay sellers are starting to carry these, but some are claiming they're official. Check the colors..pretty sure Google isn't carrying blue. They look good and for the price....pshhh. Right now take another $5 off the amazon deal.

The sides of the case come in on an angle towards the phone, not sure if it's like that on official model. Buttons are literally 1-1.5mm in height so pressing them is impossible.
Apart from those defects, the case fits great

Thanks for the info. Wouldn't be surprised if they are exact replicas of the original with maybe some color variations...And I noticed the taped up Google packaging on one of the eBay listings..lol

I'd be a bit worried. Google couldn't even get the case right with it's early degradation problems. Maybe this will be a case of the knock off being superior to the real thing? I'd have my doubts though.

Amazon was knocking another $5 off at checkout. I do think that's still expensive considering you can get a tpu case for a couple bucks, but when comparing to what Google's charging, its a decent deal if the quality is the same or better.

Just received the black case. It came in a legit Google package that didn't look to be tampered with. Only issue being the packaging is for a gray case. The case fits like a glove and quality seems alright. The color is uniform throughout, unlike the two toned look of the Google bumper. Overall I'm satisfied..

Shenit did the replica Nexus 4 bumpers as well so they're not genuine Google just a very good replica

I saw that Spigen had cases but they are backordered until October 12 and I get my S20 FE tomorrow from T-Mobile....SIGH....
Also I am not too trusting to order from Chinese websites for cases and screen protectors....

I usually order from www.sunsky-online.com as it delivers to Australia within 5-7 business days at reasonable cost of A$7-8, however, so far nothing to my liking is yet available on this website too. Will keep an eye though.

If you are in the United States and you want a case for your S20 FE real fast and quick your local T-Mobile stores have cases in stock right now. I just got a Tech 21 case for my S20 FE today and it only cost me $30 and I will hold on to that until other case makers get their cases out in mid-to-late October....

Remember that this phone comes with Gorilla Glass 3...which is very scratch resistant (which I prefer) BUT it is also more brittle and will break more easily if you drop the phone...therefore I would certainly recommend a tempered glass screen protector as being far more important than a case right now, especially since the body of the phone is already plastic and will be able to endure a drop without a case. My $0.02

I am waiting for mous to come out with their new phones. Spigen has already said they will only have two cases available that are back ordered.

I ordered my Spigen Rugged Armor case a few days ago (from their website directly) and it'll be here on Saturday. My phone came in yesterday...I hate carrying around a naked phone!!

Haha that must feel awkward... Protect that phone only a few more days

I've had luck with RhinoShield cases. No breaks ever using their bumper cases on 3 different phones, including one time I dropped my pixel 2 from a bicycle and another bike went over it. At this moment, they are are in notification stage
